Listed below are the official rules of xBlog. All members are required to adhere to every rule. Any violations will result in the proper consequence. If you disagree to any rule below, please leave xBlog.

Note: This document is subject to change. Major changes will be announced.

Part I: Typing

1. No sticky caps, alternating caps, and numbered letters.
2. Please refrain from using CAPS whenever necessary. Online, it is considered shouting.
3. Use proper English.
4. Do not use any unnecessary characters (i.e. tildes).

Part II: New Topics/New Polls

1. Search around before posting similar topics.
2. Post in the correct forum.
3. Make topic titles as specific as possible.
4. Poll Choices: Use "Single Choice(1)" only.
5. When submitting a new code or script, please credit only the original author(s) in your post.
6. Do not mention yourself in a code's comments if you did not create it.
7. Look for similar topics before asking a question in a topic.

Part III: Post Content

1. Do not flame.
2. No swearing. Keep it clean for the younger ones.
3. Do not write offensive material, racist comments, and/or hateful words.
4. No illegal content (drugs, piracy, etc.).
5. Do not double post. Delete one of those posts if you do.
6. No spam. Spam includes, but is not limited to, any post that is less than three words or is completely irrelevant.

Part IV: Images

1. Images must be stored on your own space. ImageShack and Photobucket work well for this. This applies for avatars as well.
2. Appropriate images only. No violence nor pornography.

Part V: Avatars/Signatures

1. Signatures must NOT exceed 300 pixels in height. This includes all text and images.
2. All signature widths are acceptable provided that they do not stretch the table on a topic page.

Part VI: Member Responsibilities

1. Post at least once a month to keep your account from being deleted.
2. Be friendly and treat others as you want to be treated.
3. If you are an Official Member, you are expected to keep the link up. The Staff may check up on you unexpectedly.
4. Do not abuse anyone over email, these boards, IM, etc.
5. Report any spam or any other violation of the rules to an Administrator or moderator.

Part VII: Site Promotions

1. Only Xangas, LiveJournals, and Bloggers may be promoted in topics and posts.
2. Non-Xanga/LiveJournal/Bloggers website links may only be placed in your signature, but content of links is limited. You may not use your signature to promote links that break any of InvisionFree's rules or for commercial purposes (free iPods, etc).

Warning: Promoting a non-Xanga/LiveJournal/Blogger website in a topic solely for mass traffic demand, and/or gaining members will result in the permanent removal of your xBlog account and IP ban. This includes any offense to xBlog and/or its users.

Final Note

xBlog was originally created as a resource where quality is preferred over quantity. The amount of traffic and the number of members are not important. Loyalty is. This leads to an extremely friendly environment where your values are respected, unlike other forums, where "traffic and popularity is everything." xBlog is a place where members are never arrogant, but instead, courteous and inviting.
