Sat up late last night painting my Plague Hulk so thought I'd share some WIP shots of some centrepieces in the army

I was very close to buying those Helldorado Nurgle-esque models too at one point, they are certainly pretty cool.

The Plague Hulk looks great, I expect we may see more of these on the forum in the coming months as people get them to use as fantasy Soul Grinders. The Heralds are good too.

With the Blight Drones, the rust effect and flesh colours are good, but I just feel they are missing something somehow. Maybe more highlighting on the tubes, wires and cables as it isn;t really showing in the photos. The joints between the rotor fans and the body are one example of this. Also you need to add some shadow in the gun barrels with black paint or ink, as they just look like they will never fire at present (its for this reason I always drill out the ends of boltguns and similar weapons where possible).

The flesh on the blight drones are getting painted with "dipp" to make them slimy and glossy. I'm not sure what to do with the cables between the rotors and the body, perhaps metal and some green/muddy wash? Any suggestions?

The gun barrels are definitely getting more details, thinking of making them slimy as well.

These are only WIP shots though so more is being added to everything

Really disgusting, and I like it. Been thinking about getting a Hulk and use it as GUO, but will probably do that first when my army is somewhat bigger. Will be nice to see your 'bearers later on!

Just a small update, I actually undercoated these babies tonight which means painting is not THAT far off

I've moved and changed towns and jobs so now I'm starting to get settled in so back to the painting table

Look at this guy go with all the FW stuff! Cool model choices and I never get tired of looking at those Helldorado figs.

Like the rust but the stomach on the Plague Hulk looks like spaghetti - kinda needs something a little more gross. I just get hungry when I look at him.

The stomach is going to be looking a lot..greasier when I'm done with it
