Here goes, my first 6th ed tourne list. Have 6 weeks till tourne starts so I have plenty of time to change my mind over and over again. unsure.gif

HQ
Kairos 333p
LoC, BoC 280p

Heavy support
DP, MoN, wings, bolt, BoC 230p (ed. Mark of Tzeentch)

Fast attack
Blight drones 125p
Blight drones 125p

Elite
5x Fiends 150p
5x Fiends 150p
5x Fiends 150p

Troops
5x Horrors 85p
5x Horrors 85p
5x Horrors 85p
/1798p

Plan is to have Blight drones Shooting down enemy Flyers (counting on them getting flyers status in next IA book later this month) and to use their Phlegm for troops. FMCs are to meet up ASAP, bolting and BoCing there way throu the enemy untill My fiends can get there and finish the job. My fiends will take a lot of shooting seeing as they are the only ground units to shoot at. Maybe I should have a fire magnet in the middle with 15-20 Damonettes and an icon instead, making the 2x5 Horrors into PBs and 5x Horrors and 5x Fiends into the Dnettes?
What do you think?

Mark of nurgle can't take bolt , did you mean MoT ? Not sold on LoC be interested to know how play testing goes. It is nice you get to use blight drones they really fill a spot the daemons need. Might be a good time to take CSM get strong troops another HQ and some other good options.

PB got a lot worse and so did BL. So that leaves horrors and Dnets. I don't think either are a great choice , but with out putting a lot of points in to a herald and a lot of Dnet I think you are right with horrors.

Donīt have a CSM codex yet as Iīm waiting for the new one in september. Have thought about 3x 5 Plaugemarines instead but donīt feel there is a perfect CSM HQ option for this list. Only option IMO is a Psyker but not sure about putting in more randomness not knowing whast spell to expect.

LoC has been made much better in this ed. being S6, T6, 3+ save and flying heīs allmost the same points as a DP. I can see LoC beeing a bigger part of CD list in the future.

Forge World already have updated them to flyers currently.

So I had a first test with the list today vs Tau. Not the best opponent as this lists biggest weakness is dakka armies. But it went better then expected. It all came down to a fluke overwatch seqense were 5 firewarriors rolled 5x 6s wounding 4, not saving 3 of them meaning I coudnīt reach! If I had they would have been looked in combat till his turn making me run in and out of assault, now they were shoot to bits. Game ended in a 4-3 VP win for Tau.

Didnīt feel that Kairos re-roll does anything now that he and his "co-pilots" are flyers. LoC and Kairos just felt overpriced and would be better with 3x DPs instead.

Most armies in 40k are moving over to shooting based, because there is a lot of hate on the new assault rules. Expect to see more than just Tau with the shooting problem. DE and Crons are heavily shooting based on most of their builds (not all obviously, wych cults and wraith wing exist)

Space wolves have always been shooters. Tau had no option but to be shooting. Eldar where able to be 50-50 but shooting was more popular. ext ext.

If our army is weak to shooting, I suggest re-adjusting it a bit.

1800, odd number for a tournament.

But we have the Genestealer, and so I fear nothing."

Not really, a lot of tournaments in my area were in the 1750-1850 range during 5th.
