Nurgle Herald / Great Unclean One help!, Lucky win on Ebay....

Okay basicly I just won this beauty on ebay for 1 dollar and 65 cents + 6 dollar shipping.



I could use some ideas on how to replace the missing parts of the model.
It misses both arms and 75% of it's head but seeing as he is a Nurgle model it should be doable to kitbash something awesome out of this right?

Does anyone know what kind of size this thing is? Vampire counts should have some suitable bits probably but without a size I can't really search yet

If it is the size I think it is maybe a Zombiedragon's head would be a good one to use? The arms are a bit harder though....a big blob of greenstuff with some horns prodding out I guess haha

Wow.. no idea what or where that came from.. but it has the beginnings of being a beautifully disgusting model..

Only advice I can say about it is to wait till it show up.. if it is ogre sized ,then Ogre arms might work for it, and a head from them also.. which can be nurglified easily enough.

yeah, we need a scale to go on to see what would scale well with it. but like grisnik says, ogre arms might work, or a jaberscythe... basically it depends on how big the actual model is

I'm thinking zombiedragon head but the arms I'm not sure....

Now I want this model.. congrats on the find.. the zombiehead will work I think but yeah.. good luck on the arms section of this dilemma.

For the arms do you think hellpit abomination arms could work? Or do you think they would be too small?

I would be tempted to see if i could get the right arm, and see about crafting from scratch the left arm... its an odd size, even the ogres arms would be too small.

I think you're going to have to get very creative with the arms with this one

Yeah I'm considering calling Forgeworld and see if they had some messed up models with missing parts send back to them or maybe some sprues that have miscasts. Maybe they want to make a deal with me

for arms hellpits are great i guess, or some spawn tentacles perhaps, troll head will also look nice i guess if forgeworld cant or wont send the spare parts, cant wait till i see the results, good luck!!

In a Word: No.

I Think you're up against a tough challange to find official bits that will work as extremities for that model.
If I were in your shoes I'd actually make my way to the nearest Toy Store and try to find some suitable 'bits' going through action figures and what not..
... and that's only because I don't have the skill to model what I need from scratch.

I would go with DR on this one.. toys of suitable size might in order.. Ogre/Hellpit/Rivertroll.. all too small in comparison..

Spawn bits might work.. but then you would be using pretty much a sprue's worth of arms to make it look like they fit..

Good luck with it though.. am looking forward to how this one turns out. I really like the model.

Just got off the phone with Forgeworld and they don't save messed up sprues or returned items it goes straight into the garbage can.

So I will be getting some Green Stuff and go to town with it as soon as I find the time for it

My plan is to try and model it's right arms pretty much the same as the original model which is a lump of flesh with bones sticking out.

The left hand I'm gonna try to sculpt an arm that has at least half of the flesh removed from it with bone showing through the sickly wounds holding a sword or axe that is the appropriate size in simular fashion to Forgeworlds great unclean one..

The head will be the zombiedragonhead with patches of flesh added to it to show a skull that is in a state of decay.
