Conversions is what you're looking at, basically.
If you're out to get/make Khorne or Tzeentch BSB Icons you may want to check these out:

Games Workshop official 'banner-tops' that work just great for both WoC and Daemons. I gave them a go with my last unit of B-letters, and they are great IMO but building a flag from scratch means more prestige of course.

I've got a few BSB-conversions in my army that you can check out by clicking on my sig. But I will take this opportunity to point you in the direction of brother maynard's little Khorne guy below for an example of a really well-rendered daemonic bsb:

Hope it inspires!

Rank&File models of whatever troop-type we're talking about will get the job done. It's a long time ago now, but for example I made this Slaanesh BSB out of regular Daemonette:

Any model that catches your fancy will do though, so long as you're able to stick a flagpole in one of its hands! smile.gif

Like DReign said, pretty much any model and a pile of bits can equal a BSB.

About halfway down this page is my BSB, lovingly created from a humble bloodletter model:

Awwh! Noisy you make me feel guilty for not mentioning the uncontested champion of conversions! smile.gif

Yeah.. Check out Noisy's plog.. That'll give you a benchmark to beat for sure.

Nowhere near as cool as some conversions already seen, and to my shame still not painted, but here's another plastic troop made into BSB conversion:

Herald Battle Standard Bearer:

Added a few armour bits to this guy, along with a sword from the chaos knights kit, with included gauntlet. Also a few skulls on the cloak, as I use him as Skulltaker on foot in 40k from time to time.

Too humble indeed Zechs, that guy is great! Very clearly a Hero, very clearly a BSB, and unique (also loving your Bloodletters by the way).

@DReign: Haha, I definitely wouldn't go as far as to say I'm an uncontested champion when it comes to conversions. More like...resident crazy person with too much time on his hands ^.^
And my BSB probably isn't the best one to go showing off for ideas, as the theme is rather, shall we say, unconventional.
