Hello,

Im planning my next army (Deamons) and want it to be led by a lord of change, since its by far my favorite greater deamon from a fluff perspektive. Issue is that I loathe GW's model, what with the wierd pose and clothing. The only other model iv found is the Vrock, and to be honest he aint to much better.

So im looking to convert my own, and was thinking a large robed model, cut of its head and arms, and give him the head and clawed talons of the new high elf griffon from IoB. That is the rough idea, with other additions to be added as needed. However, I find myself in need of a base model wearing a robe of the appropriate size.

So, does anyone know of a suitable robed model of about LoC size? Preferably resin, but metal could work as well, depending on the build.

Thanks

Not really what you are asking for, since this one is quite thin, but perhaps something to consider?

I like Charon from the Helldorado Range:

Les Mercenaires Charon: Nocher des enfers

he is 55mm to the head and 90mm to the top of the staff, so a bit smaller then a lord of change, but can be easily fixed by creative basing.

Forgeworld model looks great, but is taller than the empire statebuilding, and about as expensive, so it is a little bit outside my range...

Thought about the C'taan, but the models has a tricky head and is a bit more ghostly then could be desired. The reaper thingy shows promise, but the size is an issue.

I found this at coolminiornot: http://www.coolminiornot.com/shop/jsartan-...t-conjurer.html

He's a bit muscular, true. But cutting of the head, beard and hands, adding talons and a birds head, and hide the cut of parts of beard with greenstuff feathers, and then add some wings. D'you think that might work, or am I loosing it? Was thinking of using the head, talons and wings from the new empire griffon.

Hmm....I think the pose is kind of boring and static tbh. You are definitely working uphill if you choose that one. sad.gif

Have you looked through the sticky at the top of the forum for alternative models? Might be something in there. Hell Dorado might be a good call for you (as alfika mentioned) here are some possible alternatives ... although I have zero idea on sizes and no sense of scale... hur hur.

There is this guy from Reaper Miniatures.

link

I'm just not sure if he would be the right size. I searched under giant, but his price tag is fairly cheap meaning he might not be big enough for what you want.
