The 'worst' that comes to my mind was in a MonoSlaanesh vs MonoKhorne game (you can check it out if you click on my signature) where a Horde of Bloodletters with Herald got to swing with their full-attacks (if I remember correctly) against a unit of unbuffed Daemonettes - scoring 1 wound.
It might even have been with Hatred re-rolls. Pretty nuts.

Other than that I'd say it's every time my Empire friend brings his Warmachines to town. They just blow up. Often you're looking at 1 or 2 WM's per phase missfiring/blowing up. biggrin.gif

the worst ive ever seen is similar to Dreigns... horde vs horde, only mine was bloodletters (me) vs bestigors, not counting the bsb or the beastlord in the unit (because i cant remember what they rolled) but he completely fluffs his attack, as in, 1 hit got through, so he rerolls (commenting while he does, thank god for primal fury) and he gets just one more hit through, and he had wyssans on his horde, so i was expecting the 2 hits to straight up mean wound... when he rolls... snake eyes... that abomination of rolling pretty much cost him the game right there... he (for what its worth) missed an entire turn with his killy unit

the worst rolling thats happened to me was throwing 7 dice at high powered purple sun and missing his entire army, and then in the subsequent turn taking out most of my army when it came back to me... that was a sad day

Don't take this the wrong way, but it's exactly that volatility that makes me enjoy the purple sun so much. I've actually taken a HoT on occassion with the sole purpose of spamming Suns, just to see how many you could have floating around at the same time..

Unfortunately, my opponant's kept pouring sand in that plan by dispelling them (I know, nuts right?) but still.. biggrin.gif

Worst rolling for me was failing 4 out of 5 saves on Chaos Knights. I was saving on a 2+ and rolled 4 ones. Funny thing, last game we played his Cold One Knights did exactly the same thing. He had 5 str 3 saves to make and failed 4.

Good times cool.gif

Hmm, not sure if its the worst I've had but this weekend I was at a tournament and it took me 5 attempts at casting Plague of Rust with my HoT on 2 dice just to actually reach the minimum casting total. First 3 attempts he failed to get above a 4 on 2D6 and lost concentration each time (one of those when I had 12 dice for that phase and it was my first spell).

Took me to game 3 to actually cast a spell with him, and it was the only one he managed all day..... sad.gif

Worst rolling was actually with my old WoC army. My Hellcannon direct hit my opponent's brick, and I proceeded to roll 8 1's and a 3... which my opponent promptly ward saved and passed his LD check with ease, in the magic phase I rolled snake eyes, cast flicking flame of Tzeetnch with the 2 dice, IF'd it thru, got 2 Str 3 shots that failed to wound and then my Lord, even with the Book of secrets, got a 4 on the miscast chart and was swallowed up by the warp.... THEN, my warriors of chaos get Stupidity from my Warshrine, removing their +1 Atk (Dont ask... I figured my dice luck had to change) and then won combat, failed to catch the fleeing brick they had broken, then get double flanked charged by executioners and Cold one Knights (The executioners needed like a 10 to hit me.... which they got) and my warriors crumbled like zombies. I think it was turn 2 or 3.

That night I buried my pride.... and microwaved those dice that turned on me... Lord Tremendous is no to be crossed by inanimate objects!!!!

first edition 40k (pre instant kills) I once was playing in a game where a single imperial gaurdsman model (different target allocation back then) took 6 lascannon shots in the course of the game. ALL of them failed to wound.

We always wanted to paint an S on his chest after that.

It's pretty hypocritical to deride GW for valuing their pocketbooks over what's good for the growth of the hobby while you are buying on ebay and playing in your friendly local gaming store.

This wasn't my rolling, and I don't remember the exact dice involved, but back a couple of editions of 40K I watched a unit of 12 grots BUTCHER a tooled up Dark Eldar command squad that included an Archon (with Shadow Field), Drazhar, a Homunculus, 2 Warriors, and 5 Incubi (including an Incubi Master). It was hilariously bad rolling for the DE player and amazing rolling for the Ork player.

Or maybe the lone Guardsman who held up a Carnifex for 5 rounds of close combat...

Wasn't going to post this, because it seems too unbelievable, but here goes smile.gif :

4 furies get a flank charge on a dark elf sorceress on a dark pegasus with only the pendant of khaeleth as protection.

They fail, the dark pegasus hits and wounds 100 percent, as does his stomp, the last one poofs.

Okay, that happens.

Next, I get another front charge on the sorceress with 5 furies. Same story, but they hold. My general HoK with armour of Khorne comes to help in the flank. She saves all her ward saves and over 2 rounds of combat the HoK dies from 2 successful stomp attacks, the furies follow....

I spent the 2 remaining rounds shooting with 2 units of flamers at her (of 6 and 5) to take her 2 remaining wounds of. The last round was on 3's to hit...

That's 22 D6 str 4 hits blink.gif

Worst rolling for me: 7th Ed; HoC chosen knights, MoK, FC charge 12 Dwarf warriors w/ HW/Sh, FC. I kill 1 warrior. ONE! He attacks and gets one wound ... and I roll a 1 for my armor save. I lose combat by 2 because he has a rank and outnumbers. I fail my break test, flee a whopping total of 6" on 3D6, and his warriors pursue and catch the knights.

In the same game: 3 dragon ogres charge a unit of 8 slayers and kill 1. He attacks and does 2 wounds. I fail my Ld check and the DOs go some silly short distance and his slayers catch and destroy the DOs.

This game was part of a map based campaign where our markers on the map represented armies of various size. I had 1500pts vs his 500. I was handed my ass that game.

2nd worst: In a tournament right after Storm of Chaos came out, I was playing an Archaon's Horde list (free command for warriors if you had 16 models in the unit!). I had my BSB w/ MoK in a unit of Khornite warriors w/ HW/Sh (2+ AS at the time!). My unit charged a block of 20 Empire spearmen. The warriors kill a grand total of 1 spearman and my BSB rolls all 1s to hit. My opponent manages to kill a warrior or 2. I lose combat, fail my Ld, reroll for BSB, fail again, and I am run down.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some of the worst rolling I've seen has to be from the Death Match that I'm in right now. My O&G opponent has had some absolutely horrid rolls. Here are some examples:
1) Savage orcs failing the first 15 or 16 ward saves. I think he made 2 or 3 all game.
2) His orc shaman w/ Fists of Gork needing 4s to hit my HoT w/ 4 attacks and rolls 3, 3, 2, 2.
3) His champions in the SO units averaging 1 hit in a round of combat to roll a 1 for the wound roll
4) Orc Warboss w/ Ogre Blade hitting on only 1 attack and then rolling a 1 to wound.

All of that was from game 2.

I've got some more smile.gif !

1) In a tournament I rolled D6 str D6 on a unit (radius spell). I roll 6str 6! Whoohoow! To be followed by a roll of six 1's blink.gif .That's 1/48 000 chance.

Later that day, an opponent rolled a batch of six 6's for 6 armour saves he had to make dry.gif

2) I also managed to fluff all my attacks with a bloodthirster and immortal fury once...

3) My horde of 40 crypt ghouls charge a horde of greatswords (that was during the ETC). Failed to roll a single 6 during 2 riunds of combat...

I'll try to think of some more biggrin.gif

i had a GUO take 7 wounds from TK chariots that were WS 1 and S1 from miasma. so not my worst rolling per se but definitely the biggest kick in the nuts dice have ever given me.

I remember challenging a Bretonnian lord with my HoK and rolling three 6s to hit, My opponent great guy talks a lot. For the start time I have known him Shut up and paled. I then roll 2 1s and a 2 to wound... Bretonnian kills my HoK.

I've got two.

Firstly a friend of mine failing 7 out of 8 look out sir rolls over a series of games, losing his character each time to the cannon.

On my account. Playing Ogres against skaven in a small scale doubles game. I failed to dispel skitterleap. He then proceeded to land his brass orb directly on top of my iron guts, of which there were 6 and 3 characters (not a smart unit, but fun). after my initiative tests. I walked out with 1 character intact...

On the subject of bad rolling which was awesome for me, I did once have one gnoblar kill 365 points of dwarves on his own...
