Truth be told, bonesaw, I believe that's exactly what Cruddy intended.

Unfortunately, Cruddy happens to display the same kind of competence as the designer of the Hindenberg, and so his intentions and the actual results only really meet up by accident...

Yeah I'll second that summary Und_Ed..

How on god's green earth did Cruddace envision that the 'sharing' of Steadfast between Detachment and Regimental would be so easy that 'everything would be explained' by a single word??

I think what we're looking at here is perhaps one of the greatest examples of botched rules-design to occur in 8th Edition!

It's just crazy.
