so i decided that i can't have those hideous fury models in my slaanesh army so i got some tyranid garg wings and after a few drinks, finally got the balls to start carving up some diaznettes. i got these models from frenchyakamd (discounted because they're missing arms) and here's how they've turned out thus far-

what do you guys think? should i cut up some more, or find a different way to make slaaneshi furies?

The movement on those models is acentuated so well by the garg wings...they're gorgeous!

I would say do some greenstuff work to attach the wing membrane to the bodies, and if that turns out well go full speed ahead with making more of these.

Those look beautiful. Keep going indeed.

I would cut the membrane straight from the closest "finger" on the wing straight to the armpit. That's what I did, and have seen, and it's a cleaner look.

I'm not sure whether to be sad that those models have been converted to to weep for joy at the fact that they are THE best looking furies in the game!!!

ok that is a good idea. i went for a jagged edge because i thought it would be more menacing but with the graceful pose, cleaner will indeed be better. pray.gif

Looks great. I saw a similar idea a while ago where the guy heated (hot water I think) and slightly bent the wings to add some diversity

Agreed. Keep up the good work on this project.

Gotta say those are magnificent BM. The way the 'nettes are all on one leg makes them look like they're landing / taking off, really nice and dynamic.

I've seen a similar thing tried long ago with Harpy wings on the back of Diaznettes, but I think the way you have done it looks much better and more 'organic'.

Didn't WD have a Cult of Slaanesh army that someone had converted up and used the harpy wings on the 'nettes? I know whoever did the army did an entire unit head swap of diaznette heads in place of witch elf heads.

Or maybe I'm just getting the two confused. tongue.gif
