Hi, this is my first post and my first propper daemon army list. I decided to with Tzeentch as I want to scuplt the models myself and give myself something creative to work on. This list will also be used in Apocalypse Games with other players. (My main foes are Space Marines, Tau, Imperial Guard, Tyranids and Eldar)

Herald of Tzeentch *
Chariot
Breath
Bolt

18 Horrors *

9 Horrors

4 Flamers

6 Screamers *

Daemon Prince
Iron Hide
unholy might
Mark of Tzeentch
Daemonic Gaze
Bolt of Tzeentch

My main unsureities are:
How to run the Horrors?
Do I need the changeling?
How can I make the Prince cheaper or better in CCW?
Which half should go first?

Horrors are nice in packs of ~9. Changeling is nice and fun, he will often be useless but every once in a while something crazy will happen so the 5 point investment is worth it.

I use the Prince of Tzeentch with just a Bolt, nothing more. Keeps him very cheap. You oughta try to squeeze in a couple such princes instead of the one you have, they'll last longer and they should help open up transports so your horrors and flamers can shoot the occupants.

Try to drop all your transport killers in the first wave, and squishy stuff like horrors and flamers in the second.

Okay I was hoping to try and make the Daemon Prince semi-effective in CC, to try and help counter that weakness elsewhere across the board.

So if I drop his Hide, Might, and Gaze, I'm left with only half the points I need. I can drop breath on my herald to free up another couple, but I still need that elusive 55 points. (2nd DP + Changeling)

You could drop three horrors.

Oh, for the Herald I'd really recommend you try We Are Legion & Master of Sorcery instead of Breath. Keep him out of rapid fire range and just shoot stuff constantly.

He may have 5 wounds but rapid fire will still kill him.

Yeah taht huge squad of 18 horrors can be shrunk down. The prince can become more of a bolt turret and your T-herald can simplify to a gunboat. Dont forget your Herald gets gaze already for free =)

I second the above with that freeing up points for two princes will make them work better in both destroying tanks AND melee, double the wounds and attack etc.

Finanly alwasy make room for changeling. He will do one thing in one battle and you will be hooked for life.

Dont knock on deaths door...

Ring the bell and run away! He hates that!
