Great report, really enjoyed it (I've only watched the Dwarf battle so far). Good work on the win.

Excellent reports! Congrats on both wins!

I had no idea there is 'a debate' on whether or not you get to over-run when crumbling an undead unit on the Charge..
I have no intention of really starting that debate in this this thread.. but if you want my two cents on that issue I'll just say that it sounds really stupid..
Of course you would have gotten the over-run if you had opted to just crumble that ghost-base rather than chopping it up with a magic weapon.

Where is this debate taking place? *lol* I haven't spotted it on Warseer. Anyway.. yeah like I said: whoever says you don't get to over-run on crumble is just plain wrong IMO.

Game vs Dwarves was nice to watch as well. I play against them a lot as you know. That was a really nicely painted army he had as well. Well, the VC army was nice too of course..

Thanks for sharing!
Cheers!

According to a strict reading of the RAW, the crumble happens after the round of combat has been fought. Overrun only applies to units that have been wiped out in the "round of combat". Ergo, no overrun against units that have been wiped out due to crumble.

Wow..
I had no idea. Can't double-check what you say at the moment but I Believe you.
That's insane. ohmy.gif
No way in hell we're gonna play it like that. cool.gif

Its not exactly the clearest section in the book, but I think its the correct interpretation. Really needs to be FAQ'd though.

Yeah, I think the VC community first cottoned on to that little gem... we've been ignoring it so far, but I don't know for how long. It really is a bit too powerful imo.

bear in mind gents, that if the local VC player is taking advantage of that particular loophole, it opens the door for you to do it with your fiends, and the local skaven player to do it with his slaves... i honestly don't know what the VC community was thinking when they argued that interpretation so energetically. it gives advantages to armies much more powerful than they are.

Isn't this simply a pretty clear RAI vs 'Nit-pick rules-lawyer loophole' type of issue though?
I have to say it looks that way to me, at least.
Sort of up there with Daemons supposedly being able to pick Magic Items on the basis of not being explicitly forbidden to do so.. That kind of thing.
Oh well.. I'm honestly still baffled there's even a debate. I seriously wouldn't give this issue the credence of even being 'debated' - haha - I'd be more like 'Ok so you want to argue this bs or do you want to play the game? Choose. Because you're not getting both if I'm gonna be involved.'

These are great and I have been getting a better understanding for Daemons using these vids! Even down to positionings... I'm pretty awful at that. I watched your High Elf reports to help me pick on what list set up I would use (I honestly can't decide if I take bletters and daemonettes, or bletters and plaguebearers at 2500!) After seeing the various ways I am now even more spoilt for choice! lol =) Awesome stuff.

well thank you for the compliments, hulabell, i'm glad you like the reports. i've been on a beastmen kick lately (i got all fired up after winning a 3k uncomped tourney with them lol), but i will start running my daemons again starting later this week. there is a team tournament (ETC style, not doubles) that i'll be going to at the end of the month, so i'm going to be practicing for that.
