I played a Bret player today at 3k. Instead of taking my old standby list I decided to shake it up a bit. I threw out the Bloodthirster and dropped in a Keeper.
Keeper of Secrets Soul hunger Ether Blade Level 2 Siren Song
Herald of Tzeentch Disc Loremaster shadow Spell breaker
Herald of Tzeentch Disc Loremaster Death Spell breaker
Herald of Slannesh Siren Song
Herald of Khorne Obsidian Armor BSB
30 bloodletters full command Icon of endless war
30 Daemonettes Full command Sirens standard
27 Pink Horrors musician Standard Icon of sorcerery
Fiend of Slannesh
5 Seekers of Slannesh Full command
5 Flesh hounds
3 Flamers
Battle for the pass
he had 2 HUGE busses of 15 knights 9 Knights of the realm 2 fighty lords a level 4 1 BSB hero 9 Grail knights 10 archers 5 yomen 2 Trebs
It took me two turns to get into range for the charge.
Turn three I managed to get my Keeper into the 9 man block of knights my Bloodletters missed the charge by 1"
My seekers are holding up the peg knights and my Daemonettes make their charge into the first huge bus of Knights. These combats ended up lasting the whole game until finally turn 6 I wore him down and his Generals unit broke. He lost his casters to miscast and good spells on my part.
I had too much magic and not enough beat stick. I know that. I've already redesigned the list to optimize how the units interact and I removed the unit of Pink Horrors. In their place are another unit of bloodletters. I may get rid of the flamers and add another fiend. I like em. They are kinda like eagles! I made a few critical mistakes with my positioning of my casters and lost both loremasters before I got a chance to use em the way I wanted to. Next game will be different.
My Keeper was good but I wish I had taken the Bloodthirster. He is my rock star. Time and a few tweeks and I'll post up how its coming along.
