Its that time aguin. heres Weekly 7. Some big changes( Though no as big as last week)
The week that has been As you all know, last Sunday we released the summaries for the setting, and this week our ambassadors have been busy putting them out on our participant forums to gather their thoughts on the subject. Work has also been done on the summary for newcomers, and more playtesting has been done.
Lets start.
The summaries We are currently holding polls on other forum to get their view on which setting they would like the most. These polls will be open until Tuesday when we will close them and gather their information. After we have done this, it will be put out on the forums for you to view before the final vote. This final vote will decide which setting to use, and will if all things come together as they should, open on this Wednesday, it will then stay open un till the 24:th of this month, or until everyone has voted, whichever comes first.
So what will the polls on the other forums count for? For the vote itself they will count for nothing, the votes cast on other forums do not add to the votes cast here, and it’s the poll here on Warmakers that will decide what will happen (so if you voted elsewhere, you need to do it again). However, when casting your vote, you should consider which setting you think will produce the best campaign for everyone involved, and as such you should of course consider what people from the other forums have said. Don’t let their opinions over-rule yours, but consider them none the less. If to few people like the setting, the campaign won’t be successful.
Reaching out This week, we have finally managed to make contact with Druchii.net, and Dark Alliance, one of the admins there, is to look over our project and then inform us of the stance their forum takes to Warmakers. Hopefully it will be positive, and even if they would not want to join right now, I hope that they will still remain open to the idea and help us even if they are not ready to officially support us. We shall find out soon enough.
Introduction for newcomers Work has been progressing on the summary for newcomers, meant as an introduction of what we have done so far, and the first parts of it are up. It is not complete yet, but I figured we might as well put up the parts that are done, and I hope that it will complete by the end of the coming week. You can find it under the General Discussions forum.
The week to come This week that is coming will hopefully see the summary for newcomers finished, and also the final poll for which setting we should use. But I have already said that, and I know you read this with the hope that I will say something worthwhile amidst all my confused paragraphs, and so I will leave that and move on...
...To the reorganisation of the forums.
As you might have noticed, its starting to get very full with pinned and important topics everywhere, so full that its getting hard to find the ones you want. To help this, I will when I get time during the week reorder things a bit on Warmakers. Exactly how I don’t know yet (got any ideas?) but the one major thing I know I will do is the addition of an Information forum. This will be the placer where all locked topics like the introduction for newcomers, the posts explaining what Warmakers is all about, and other such documents, will be placed. The forum will be locked, no one without authorisation will be able to post or reply there. This is to help clear things up a bit, it will present a place where people can look for information, instead of forcing them to crawl all over the forum to find it. In this place there will also be placed texts about all major decisions and such, and links to lists of who is in the council or who areambassadors. The main thought behind it is that if there is some part of the project you are wondering about, you can go there to find the answer.
Well, I think that is all I have to say for right now. The clock just struch twelve here in Stockholm, and I am going to bed (with a strange feeling that there was something more I was supposed to put in this weekly...). Good night.
