Why would you replace the champ for a musician? I mean, yeah ok for the +1 if combat res is a draw but hardly need the +1 for rallying? or am I missing a trick here?

I don't like champions in daemon units because your paying 12pts for a single attack. It's never been that effective for me when I've used Nurgle daemons. I think champions only need to go into a unit if you have a herald you want to "shield" from a challenge for a turn.

Plus in the event of a draw, the enemy doesn't win the combat because you skimped on the 6pt Bloodletter musician tongue.gif

Now should I stick with this instead or put a GD in and change the lot, going for 2000pts, no restrictions and I want it to be rock hard:

I know the units of 8 FHS are expensive but more protection and maybe outnumber and CR for the 2 heros, not sure about a BSB as it's still unclear if you have to re-roll a failed instability test and then roll more on your next roll....

Unless you guys have a better idea on the hardest 2000pts

Upon testing, I'm not convinced about the flamers, as you usually hit on 5s and wound on 4s but that's our only shooting....Hum...not sure

Lots of other folks like the other rares - but it is our only shooting. And you are rolling A LOT of dice usually. Your goal with them is taking out warmachines, fast cav and other few wounds lots of potential impact targets.

I agree with aprevious poster I like musicians more than champs as it's not about rallying it's about the +0.5 CR for ties (that works out to about as much or more CR than a champions additional attacks - at a cheaper price)

I think 11 furies is too many two units of 5/6 would be more effective

Skulltaker on his own so I can send him into what I need, the other herald with the Flesh hounds.
Now would have enough points for another gift on the herald of khorne but there's a new High Elf player at my club so don't want too many flaming attack or He could get the BSB but as mentioned not sure on the ruling.

Or do you guys think I should stick with the Daemonettes, like this:

Either one is pretty good the second is more flexible in different tactical situations with siren song and the daemonettes

My only concern is static CR, now could drop a Beast and replace 10 horrors with 16 Bloodletters with full command but then I'd loose a Dispel dice and don't know how beast perform in units of 2.
Any advice? I want this to be really aggressive and to be honest for a "all comer" as I don't want to be changing my list every five minutes, would like to get a good one that works ok and stick with it.
