looking to try Daemons again and had a few ideas on what I wanted to do and maybe get advice as well. Here is my idea for a Tzeentch themed army. The army will be themed around Tzeentch but I want to use the other daemon units (bloodletters, plaguebearers…) as well without using the specific models for them. My idea is that the Lord of Change (my HQ) uses his magic to create a mock version of the other chaos god’s daemons to fight with the Tzeentch daemons. This way I do not have just an allied force, or say the other daemons were tricked/corrupted into fighting for Tzeentch. The mock daemons will have no connection to any of the other chaos gods. They are just a representation of other chaos daemons created by the Lord of Change. I built a test model with some bitz I had to show what I am thinking about. It is basically a counts-as plaguebearer, but he has no ties to Nurgle nor is he a real plaguebearer, it was created by my HQ. My other thought was that the mock daemons were created from things on the battle field, so say the above model was created from a destroyed tank/metal building or pile of scrap metal, or my mock bloodletters being created from a burned/charred forest. I am still working on an idea for Slaanesh, but have a few ideas for some other units. Here is a list of what I am thinking of doing. Flamers- Flamers Fiends- ? Bloodcrusher- scratch build/Dryads kit bash (tree beast) Horrors- Horrors Bloodletters- Dryads Plaguebearers- Necron/Space Marine kit bash So that’s my idea, I hope I explained it well. Please let me know what you think.

Interesting concept with having minions created from materials at hand. Sounds rather Tzeentchy to me I also did a Tzeentch-themed army using all of the troops, but in a slightly more direct way (mostly conversions from the base models and a suitable color scheme). Have a look and you might get some inspiration: http://z7.invisionfree.com/wyrmling_x/inde...topic=7907&st=0Only problem I might see with your approach is that it could get confusing as to what each model represents, as even with an effort like mine to keep them recognizable I still get quite a few questions when I play. It should be a super unique army though, and given the great quality of your first PB, I look forward to seeing the results!

Thanks Noisy. Your army is awesome, very nice conversions. I did see a few things I liked that may help me decide how to do the Slaanesh units in the army.

I had considered that, but I think it is a small price to pay for having a cool and unique army.

A friend of mine did a counts-as Ork army using old Squat models. In order to help his opponents tell what unit was what he had a information sheet with photos of each unit on it and what unit they were counting-as next to them. A bit of effort perhaps but seemed to work pretty well.
Anyway, I really like the first model you have done and look forward to seeing more of your army.

Come on Tzeentch!Do you like words and pictures arranged together to tell a story? If so, check out my battle report thread here.

Thanks. That is a really cool idea, I might try something like that as I get more units finished up.

Been doing a lot of thinking on what to do for the Slaanesh units, and the past couple of days I had an idea. I am not sure if I will use damonettes but the idea was to have them made up of pieces of broken and shattered glass. I would use some transparent rod to make a swirling design then glue different color transparent sheet cut into small pieces to it. This way it would look like a living spiral of glass.
For the fiends I would do something simular but use barbed wire. I was also thinking of adding in some bitz from the vampire counts corpse cart to look like scliced up victims.
I am going to try and do a test model for a fiend as i have a lot of barbed wire I made some time back. Let me know what you think.

That's what it reminds me off! All it needs is a creepy little girl and your all the way over to a level of creepiness that levels "overly attached girlfriend"
I must also apologize for my ramblings, today I have so many pills in me that I swear I rattle when i move.

thanks everyone. Sat down tonight and started making razor wire, then I will do some more barbed wire. I am looking to make four Fiends so I will need a lot. Hope to have another update in a couple of days as I get all the supplies I need together.
