2.4K All Comers Army

After recently starting daemons, I like the rest of you have dumped my flamers, leaving them just for 40k games. So here is my new 2400 army, any criticism/feedback would be appreciatd!

- Horror unit (imo) should either be small enough to be a 'bunker'(~10-15models) or large enough to cast Bolt of Change(36+) and in this list probably the former.
- Daemonettes can deliver Siren Song just fine at halved size too.
... both these Changes will free up lots of Points for you: Almost enough for a Bloodthirster (for example).

Just a quick note on horrors.

While I agree they should be big enough for Bolt of Change if they're going large, you need them 26+ for Bolt, not 36+.

Also, daemonettes are still a viable fighting block, no need to cripple it by making it so small. a unit of 30 (or 40) daemonettes can do wonders, especially combined with Siren Song. think of them as a thinking man's bloodletter block

either that or make the unit smaller and give them banner of ecstasy to make them work as a bait. Or give them banner of ecstasy anyway

Yeah sorry about the Horrors. I tend to bring a unit of 60 if I bring any so I guess I have gotten too used to them being a Level 4 'all game'.

Also, Banner of Ectasy used with a smaller unit of 'Nettes and Siren Song, as Eastern Barbarian was saying, is a pretty nifty tactic. Und_Ed is right that you can make bigger units of Daemonettes as well of course - but then you'd want Lore of Shadow on the HoT and probaby let that big unit of 'Nettes simply trade places with your B-letters. For an All Comers list, though, you are probably better off with a huge unit of 'Letters sort of like you have them listed now.

And please factor in lists like this is not by field of expertise.

Why would he want Lore of Shadows, DReign?

I almost always bring a big 'nette unit, and Beasts is a much better bet imo than shadows. (I used to bring shadows, but with only a level 2 casting it was too much like gambling, while beasts has great synergy with the 'nettes without having to gamble)

Occam's basically. For some reason I am used to six-dicing what I need regardless of casting value. But seriously, you got better knowledge both of relying on Daemonettes and the general game-size so yeah; Listen to Und_Ed and pay no attention to my ramblings I suppose. haha

I hate 6-dicing. You have a roughly 25% chance of getting IF (and the miscast it brings) and if you fail you're losing your big spell, probably casting nothing that phase. I like to pick 2-3 spells to cast, and with the 8th Ed power dice mechanics I'm almost guaranteed of getting one through barring a dispel scroll. Ol' reliable, that's me.

TOTAL: 2488

So what do you all think?

I think you made a 2488pt list for a 2400pt tourney

5 furies do anything 6 could for me.

I might drop like 3 horrors and 2 furies and add more kit to some heralds.

Looks like a pretty solid list, although without a Greater there that Grinder is going to eat a lot of cannons. I'd almost rather replace it with a Fiend brick, especially supported by Beasts.
