Intro fluff:

Shortly after the destruction of the city of Skulls Marcus Hotchmann and the Geld Legion marched west back towards their Homelands, riches and spoils in tow. Glory had been achieved and Imperial history would record that it was Marcus who drove evil from the land and finally put King Pureheart to rest. While many who had seen first hand, knew what had really happened, the truth would be lost for a time, at least among the people of the Empire. Traveling along the edge of the Blind River and then North through the Badlands, Marcus and his Legion eventually, after much difficulty found themselves nearing the Border Princes.

However it was here that the Legion was struck with internal conflict. Duke Kaliford, one of the nobles who had followed Marcus east to the City of Skulls, received distressing news that his small kingdom in the Border Princes had been destroyed by a massive Greenskin WAAAGGHH. In his despair Duke Kaliford demanded that Marcus assist him in reclaiming his lost lands. Marcus refused, and offered only what he felt Kaliford had earned from the spoils as compensation. Kaliford, turned on Marcus, and a full scale battle began to rage among the Legion's ranks. Those who hailed from the Border Princes and loyal to Kaliford fought against those loyal to Marcus.

Eventually the situation was quelled by Marcus, but not before Kaliford and many other opportunists had managed to escape with a significant proportion of the Legion's wealth as the battle ensued.

With his forces Significantly depleted and wounded, and much of his wealth stolen, Marcus had little option but to seek aid from the Border Prince's themselves, or take it by force. His mind was set on his destiny and he would be damned if some upstart peasant noble would ruin his triumphant return home.

Upon entering the Border Princes, Marcus found that the region was beset by several armies hungering for control of the region. It was soon apparent that it was not going to be as simple as sacking a few minor Noble's cities and hunting down Kaliford, but that the Legion would be hard pressed against the present foes.

Among the competing armies was a massive Greenskin WAAAGGGHHH led by a equally massive Black Orc, known only as Master Greenstar. It was soon determined that this was the same Orc from the City of Skulls, who had been known as Bulg Backbreaka. Coming through the Mad Dog Pass, the WAAGGHH was truly fearsome and had roused the Princes to unite their forces in defense against the marauding greenskin foe.

Also among the combatants was a Tilean army, led by Grand Comandante, Geusope Garibaldi, who by request of the Council of Border Princes had entered the Country to defend it against the Greenskin WAAGGHH and also put down revolts from disruptive Human Rulers who refused to join in the Alliances of Princes.

The Third force in direct contention with the Dwarven Army of Karak Hirn, led by Lord Thane, Gamael Brassthroat, a elderly but highly experienced Dwarf General, was commissioned by King Alrik Ranfulsson, who by request of the King Byrrnoth Grundadrakk of Barak Varr, had ordered the Throng of Karak Hirn to secure the Dwarven Settlements across the Black Mountains against the Greenskin Menace
