Hello everybody!

Last Sunday, I took my daemons to a tournament (40 strong), and unexpectedly won the event smile.gif !

Now in 2 weeks I have another tournament coming up, and I'm wondering how to expand the current army I have by 350 pts. Should I take another block or have some more support troops?

This is what I took Sunday:

-HoK: general, firestorm, AoK
-HoK BsB: AoK

-34 Bloodletters: FC, icon of endless war
-34 Bloodletters: FC

-5 furies
-5 furies

-6 flamers
-6 flamers

Greetz and thx in advance!

Greetz, B.

Put a Thirster in!;) AoK, IF, SB for 515
It's my answer to everything! But seriously it would give your army some tactical flexibility and access to Spellbreaker... Drop 2 Flamers from each would put you up to 490 to play with and I don't have my book on me right now but is a Fiend not 10 points cheaper then 5 Furies? Maintain the ability to march better and dot lose their hitting power... Well that's my 2 cents anyways.

Congratulations on the win! How about a herald of Tzeench and master of sorcery? Single Fiends are cheaper and often better. But two i row, 7 attacks against that Lvl4 or Bsb or whatever Is quite dangerous :-)

Thx!

So would a herald of slaanesh with siren song in a small unit of daemonettes with the 'only hold' banner be useful enough i.e hunting small units which can't flee and siren song something yuicy or get that flank with the letters

I think I still have enough points then for that 2-fiend trick?

How does that sound?

Greetz, Bjorn.

Thx for the replies, Tor smile.gif

I'm a bit hesitant to take a greater daemon for the moment sad.gif . Too many risks: okkam or shadow powered units, shooting,steadfast,...

Taking one also shrinks my army. I'm going to take one in some of my future tournaments though, but for now, I'll have to do with things I have painted.

I'm leaning towards taking a unit of 10 flesh hounds to add support to the letters or hunt some small-medium stuff. Or to put on a side with flamers, to back off potential threats.

Or should I just take another unit of 30 bloodletters, or is that just too boring?

Greetz, Bjorn.

Fleshhounds are great for Heavy Hitting flank support, maybe a unit of six and those fiends you were looking at... More drops.

Soren Song Herald is a solid addition as well, if you take the Hold Icon I would recommend looking for buildings to hide them in for the Steadfast it grants against more aggressive armies, helps them from disintegrating before you can get that all important Flank Charge. That or just give them the Icon of Ecstasy.
