Hi all, a few quick questions

Does Enfeeble foe and Soulblight minus the Str of the attack for Impact hits (ogres)?

When a unit is within 12" of the General it can use his LD as its own. So when Mindrazor is cast on that is it still 7 or 9?
Thank you.

For your second question - whether or not you can use the General's Inspiring Presence to boost the effect of Mindrazor - the answer is simply 'no'.
I Believe this is something that was sorted by an Errata/FAQ of the Main Rulebook so your question is understandible if you only have the actual RuleBook as reference for this question.
- You use the model's unmodified Leadership for Strength-value when Rolling to wound (this is the mechanic of Mindrazor) which has led to a lot of people arguing that the strength-boost should not even be factored into the negative armour-save modifier of the stricken opponant.
I.e. Mindrazor does not actually increase your Strength (for all purposes) to equal your unmodified Leadership - instead if Mindrazor simply allows you to use your Unmodified Leadership as Strength value specifically when making ToWound rolls in Close combat.
- I don't know what to Think of that last bit to be honest..

As to your first question: I'm simply not sure. So don't take the following as gospel:
I Think if the you look at the Main Rulebook Errata you will find that Impact Hits and Stomp has been bundled together as 'unusual attacks' that doesn't benefit from any Special Rules that the model might have.. So my guess is that the answer to this question is 'no' - Enfeebling Foe and Soulblight does not effect Impact Hits..
Really unsure about that one though..
Someone else can clear this up perhaps? smile.gif

I don't think that penalties (or buffs) to S count as special rules. So a unit of Ogre Bulls that have been Enfeebled will Impact and Stomp at a lower strength. But they'll also get the bonus if they get Wildform (or whatever the Ogre spell that boosts S as a wannabe Wildform) off.

As for the other question, it's pretty standard practice in my neck of the woods that the General's Inspiring Presence rule counts as the model's base Ld. In which case you would use that for Mindrazor. Not sure if there is an FAQ about it, or just the way it is played around here. Really makes the Death Ld-snipe less worthwhile though.

From the GW errata

QUOTE
Reference Section – The Lore of Shadow, Okkam’s
Mindrazor
Change “[...]Models in the target unit use their Leadership
instead of Strength when rolling To Wound with[...]” to
“[...]Models in the target unit use the Leadership
Characteristic written on their profile, instead of their Strength,
for[...]”

On the Mindrazor/Impact Hits thing - I'm just going on my own logic w/ this so, just take it w/ a grain of salt (I'm not a RAW or RAI player, just try to use some logic floating around this feeble brain of mine tongue.gif ). Impact hits are the result of the bulk/size/mass of the object making the impact hits. Unless you change the actual size or mass of said object, the force of the impact hits won't be diminished.

Yes.. all Str modifiers count for impact hits, except Str modifiers from weapons as they only apply when using the weapon.

No, per the FAQ. Use what is written in their profile.

well that depends, because i'm the same size, if i run into someone, they are going to move, but if i've been to play squash for a few hours before, i can barely walk nevermind run, I feel so feeble

so with my own logic, i would say that enfeeble works on impact hits
