I’ve been getting a major whooping with my mono-Khorne army list. Now I am looking for revenge at 1000 points. This is what I’ve been playing. Although I don’t own any models from other chaos gods, I am willing to “expand”. If I somehow could defeat Skaven let me know.

I would switch to the following:

115: Herald of Khorne - Armour of Khorne
403: Bloodletters (29x) - FC (Icon of Endless War)
60: Furies (5x)
210: Flesh Hounds (6x)
210: Flesh Hounds (6x)

I like my Bloodletters at least 25-strong, and at this points level a horde of them will be brutal. Icon of Endless War is also fantastic; with it your expensive horde will almost assuredly be in combat by turn 2. The extra points can really go where you want; I added 2 more Flesh Hounds, but an extra unit of Furies or a solo Bloodcrusher would also be good.

How do you think this army will hold up against the Skaven?

I don't own Tzeentch models... but little expansion seems manageable.

I would drop a flamer for master of sorcery on the HoT.

Against skaven I would give him death. Lowered leadership and a dead general will destroy skaven.

yeah i agree about the mastery of sorcery, also with the points dropped from the flamer, you can pick up a muscian for your big horde

I actually think muso's for Bloodletter's in particular is a waste of points. The reason why I think that is that Bloodletters either win by a boatload, or they loose by a boatload, it is very rare that I tie. If I was fielding a horde of Daemonette's though I might consider a muso, but Bloodletters have a fantastic kill per point ratio that muso's are redundant.

i would actually drop the standard from the BL before i dropped the muso, Feez is absolutely correct in that +1 combat res is negligible. swift reforms however, are not. i would never, ever, EVER, EVER take a ranked unit without a musician, even if it was only 10 strong. if a unit cannot reform for free (i.e. its not a single model, skirmishers, or fast cav), it gets a musician.

your movement game is whats gonna win you these games Yuri, skaven are STUPID powerful at 1000-1500 pts. and for the love of god, deploy that horde very wide, there's no sense in losing to a doomrocket on turn 2.

you're very right with swift reforms maynard (when are you going to upload another Daemons movie? I'm sorta getting tired of the Beastmen, and it's very hard to get bored of the beastmen!). I always think of the lines of combat reform because the board I play on tends to be quite large and relatively spartan.
