Title: 1750 competative tournament lists
Description: No love for space marines

Going to a 1750 tournament with 9/10 space marine players and would like to have a great time with what our beloved daemons can offer.

I have come up with 4 lists that Im struggeling to choose between

Wait for the cavalry list:
4 slaanesh heralds, chariot, might
3x6 fiends w/might
3x16 BL with fury
5 plague
The speed of the 7 cavalry units will be able to hold up correct units and the BL will finish them off - at least on paper :-) A problem is of course land riders

I can do theemed list:
4 tzariotz - we are legion, master of sorcery, bolt
2x3 flamers
3 flamers with bolt
5x5 horror with/bolt, 1 unit with changeling
3 prince of tz, gaze and bolt
The amount of bolt hits in a round (8,33) is magic.

I can copy and paste from the internet
4 tzariotz
3x6 Fiends w/might
3 DP (tz,gaze,bolt)
5,5,6 Plague
The best allround build in my eyes.

Have some fate list
Kairos
2xHerald of khorne (fury, might and blessed by the gods)
8 crusher (icon, fury)
2x6 fiends
2x5 plague
16 BL with icon
If only Kairos could stop laying all those eggs in the basket - but he is a big chicken after all

With 9/10 marines your first list is dead on! You have your rending and your power weapons, what else do you need!! Only Fatelist would do a good job but still not as good. PLayed a list allmost like it my last tourne and I won 4 (IG, CSM, Orks CSM) lost 1 (Eldar).

What are you thinking of as a split , for the 1st army ?

It depends on what Im playing against of course, but I like not be upset by the first roll being a 1 or 2 - so quite equal groups. But remember that you don`t need to choose before it`s your first turn.

first group:
2 BL
1 Fiend
2 Herald
Plague

second
1 BL
2 Fiend
2 Herald

I will try to deep strike my cavalry behind cover, or create cover with plague. The heralds are not afraid of aiming directly into cover.

What`s your thoughts?

I like the 1st list. I might swap out the Slheralds for Tzeench heralds. It just sucks so much to pop and tank with assault then for the guys to hop out and shoot you to death. More so with how cheap tanks are now a days. The SlHerlads don't do anything the fiends can't do.

The question is if it is going to be resilient enough. I run fatecrusher to good effect , but I could see the appeal of a faster force. I could just see them getting too softened up by shooting to do the damage they need to before something strikes back.

Maybe if you took a bit from 3 of them ? Crusher in elites , TzHerlads at hq , seekers as pseudo fiends and bearers as troops. I have been meaning to test something like this myself and will hopefully get a chance this weekend. ill let you know how it goes. If you get a test game in let me know how what you did works out.
