Haha, DReign finally has someone else to share his obsession with stupidly large battles with! Although I must say, the one 40K games I played ages ago that had 3 people per side each at 2.5K was one of the more fun games I ever played. So maybe you crazy bastards have it right after all.

The only downside with games like that is that it's difficult to fit them into you schedule really. :)

I have to say there's nothing wrong with normal-sized games either though. Actually being able to finnish one of them in a few hours is a big plus sometimes.. but yes for me personally the excitement increases with the game-size.

A GW staffer at the Stockholm shop half-seriously invited me to field all my 30k against everything the shop-staff has to offer at some point.. I'm really tempted.. But transporting all those models into town is not something I'm looking forward too.. ;)

Looking again at those pics I'm starting to suspect the game you played was a Watchtower's scenario(?) Must have been utter carnage!! :rock:

Hehe we wont be doing that again any time soon. Was fun to start with. Battle went back and forth. But we had a bit to few models and they have Teclis, that dude is just awfull. Kairos held his own but at the end the elves where to many. We played for 14 hours all in all and at the end I was so drunk I really was more of hinderence to my troops then anny help :D Tower gave 2000 points at the end so we lost with about 4500 points.

They had 230 shots each round for about 3 rounds. Kinda sucked. But hey we had 12 flamers and a hell canon....

Sounds like a damn nice event all in all.

And I gotta say 12 Flamers and 1 Hellcannon seems a tad little in comparison to this game-size. ;)

That looks awesome! We used to play 5-10,000 point games all the time. It is definitely a calendar day crossed off!
