Hi all,

New to Daemons at 40k, stopped playing fantasy so going to use them at 40k, been trawling the net and like the idea of something like this:

HQ: 608

Fateweaver 333

Bloodthirster - 275
blessing of the blood god, unholy might

Elite: 400

4 Bloodcrushers full command 200

4 Bloodcrushers full command 200

Troops: 310

5 Pink Horrors 85
5 Plaguebearers 75
5 Plaguebearers 75
5 Plaguebearers 75

Heavy: 430

Daemon Prince of Nurgle - 215
-Daemonic flight, cloud of flies, noxious touch, iron hide 215

Daemon Prince of Nurgle - 215
-Daemonic flight, cloud of flies, noxious touch, iron hide 215

Total = 1748
Squads = 10

I think it's standard but would like ideas/suggestions

Thanks

You could do with less Plaguebearers and more horrors with bolt.

I think I posted this in the wrong section, can admin move it please?

Depending on the meta you might also want to change the princes to Tzeench with bolt. You can then use the extra points to get more crushers or a unit of fiends.

Thanks for the replies, drop the troops down to 3 units of horrors and change the mark on the daemon princes then.
Would it not be best to have Toughness 5 and feel no pain to hold objectives instead of BS 3 horrors?

For objectives plagues are better.

For killing transports, horrors have the advantage of a 10 point bolt of change. And there are plenty of transports in 40k

It's funny...you highlighted the strengths of the plaguebears and a weakness of the horrors. What about their 4+ save and the fact that they can actually deal out damage at a decent range. The BS 3 can be maddening if/when you fail to hit with that single bolt, but warp fire being assault3 really makes up for any to hit issues.

I doubt I'd ever field a unit of plaguebearers in a universe where not all missions have objectives, and the ones that do can still be won by tabling my opponent. Offense will always be a good defense.

I see nothing particularly bad about the list.

I could talk about How I think daemonic flight is too many points and deepstriking + running is enough to get you to close combat with a nurgle prince (and moving is enough to be in range for shooting on a Tzeentch one) but others will disagree and say the 12" move is invaluable.

=======================

I would use a Tzeentch prince of the Nurlge ones for more bolts and the 4++ save that gets rerolled by karios.

1 unit of bloodcrushers is usually all you need in fatecrusher (at least at 1500...)

Though that is what I would do, you probably play differently than me (especially since I play my daemons like I play my nidz)
