Hi everyone!

I'd just thought I'd introduce myself as the forum suggested. I'm quite new to Warhammer, I've only been playing for around 3/4 months, my other half got me into playing... now I am obessesed with painting the figures. :)

I originally started playing wood elves... but honestly, I am starting to really regret them, there is just no enjoyment in playing them. I thought it was because of being a newb to the game and my inexperience, but my other half has been playing since he was a kid, and he is encouraging me to change. Has to be a sign! Let alone the odd looks I get from people when I tell them lol.

So I have opted to change my army to Daemons. These were my original pick, however there was some confusion of player choices at the start, making me choose another. Typical! I only own the army book and a unit of 5 seekers, so I am looking to expand my army and get a wiggle on.

I'll mainly be playing against other members in our family, the enemy armies being: Dark Elves, High Elves, Empire (bloody cannon!) Scaven, Tomb Kings, Orcs and Brettonia.

Looking forward to (hopefully) plotting my revenge with you guys!

If I were you I'd put prestige in the fact that you play Wood Elves actually. They're appearantly concidered quite a challange to play with from what I hear..

And who knows.. Judging by the many years its been since they got a new book they might jump to the top of the pile before you know it.

Daemons are jolly good fun though. 8th Edition has really been a blessing for us Daemon players if you ask me. So don't hesitate on expanding on your Daemons, it's just I wouldn't sell off my Wood Elves either if I were you. :)

Yeah... there is a little bit of pride in me when I realise I play the real underdogs lol. But I defiantely won't be selling them off either, I like the models. I've heard some rumours about the update, but we'll see when the time comes! :)

Welcome to the forum! Sounds great to have a whole family to play Warhammer with, mine have always been encouraging of my hobby without having any wish to take part.

Daemons should be a good contrast to the Wood Elves. I haven't played Wood Elves yet, the current opinion of them is so low that my own army remains untouched in pieces in the loft until a new Army book or 9th edition sorts them out!!!

I'll give you a late welcome to the forums too and first I got to mention that your avatar is super cute *laughs*. Wood elves are one of the oldest books and suffers a lot from the dated unit costs and all. On the other hand, I just started playing them again just for fun~

Whoah its been ages since I posted here (or feels that way!) Have been super busy and wrapped up with life. Sometimes it's mean like that :P

However after receiving some lovely daemon pressies for Christmas, I have been building away and looking at starting our Mighty Empires campaign with them! We are all looking at secondary armies. =)

I have been playing with the woodies and have had some very succesful games, poor High Elves were wiped off the table in a 1000pt match lol. Shame I can't play as good with the 3k point games! :(

So I have some models now, a Lord of Change, 3 Flamers, 3 Blood Crushers and the battalion. Slowly building them up!
