This is introducion thread for those who have not seen this amazing comic. Berserk is japanese comic about warrior who is born under the bad omen and whose entire life is pure epic struggle against foes and even against friends and himself. There is much philosophical aspects in the comic even though it can be considered as ultra violence with lots of bloody action. It is a story about overcoming hardships in life with pure willpower and strenght. Art in the comic is just amazing! I do not exaggarate even a bit when I say that artist has drawn pages where there is thousands of soldiers and every single one of them is drawn in very detailed way with all armor features showing.
Story starts with main character Gutts who is hunting down daemon lords who have turned everything around them a living hell for normal humans. Gutts is strong and appears to be cold and brutal person who has no feelings but eventually after two volumes we get to read about his past and how he became such a person. This is truly epic story and has also been turned into an anime series, though in my opinion it is truly bad when compared to the comic. Later on there will be Daemon princes, daemonic invasions and bloodthirsty battles and very curious characters and enough character development to get an oscar or something.
This comic is absolutely one of the greatest things I have ever read just because of amazing art, characters and plot. But for daemon players it offers even more as the story progresses. There will be for example very nice visuals on how someone turns into a daemon prince from a mortal through a sacrifial ritual. There is 3 gods of chaos from which two are like Slaanesh and Tzeentch and Nurgle. There is even daemon who is just like Bloodthirster and many daemons in the book have clearly influenced even artists who draw art in warhammer daemon books. For example there is sceneries that look exactly the same as picture in daemon lore of nurgle in the daemons book, some daemons look like that Wet Nurse model that was posted on miniatures section awhile ago. It is truly inspiring series =)
