Title: Armyroster.com
Description: new free army building software
gjnoronh - November 1, 2008 07:17 PM (GMT)
It's in the beta test development stage so not quite ready for prime time but looks like it will be like the old "The Great Unclean One" website which was my preferred tool for army design.
More info in this thread:
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?...der=asc&start=0they are looking for moderators at this point for the forums they will be using for beta testing feedback, as well as of course folks willing to beta test the system.

Sounds promising. Too bad they can't have any valid army checks built in to help avoid mistakes, but hey, it's free and web based. Should be cool. Can't wait to give it a whirl.

I'm following the site progression with interest as well. Not sure how much I'll use it as I already have army builder.

Ya, I just registered over there yesterday and checked it out a bit. Can't wait until they have all the DoC stuff in, unless they did it since I was there last. (i.e. upgrades, magic items, etc.) so I can know useful it'll be overall. Based on how it looks so far, I'm optimistic about it.

What's the use of an army builder?
You get a good printable version with stats and stuff or what? :)
(in other words, should I check it out? :) )

yes and yes
it doesn't replace buying an army book but it makes list design much easier.

Just a heads up they have a shut down order from GW so if you have a list on there print it out.
He's working with GW but not likely to get past the IP issues.

And they are now rising from the ashes
http://www.armyroster.com/showthread.php?ThreadID=696&s=0I have to give a lot of respect to this development team they've worked very very hard to keep this thing running.
