The winter snows are melting and spring run-off water is running down from the mountainside and delights the average peasant of Rome as they prepare for another wonderful year with bountiful crops and with peace and tranquility. However, likewise, in the northern areas of the Roman empire there are Roman legions at the same time as average peasants, working their crops, working to build up the defenses of their encampment from brutal Germanic savages whose one goal is to beat back the Roman defenses and push all the way to Rome and kill every last single peasant and sack the city of its riches. However, that cannot occur as the idea of defending Rome is in the hearts of those brave legion troops that would defend Roman territory to the last man, especially if they were paid the right amount of monies to defend that city, and empire.

Wouldn't you like to take part in such a battle, such an epic battle as Roman Empire Legions. Well come along and join in the fun and try to do your part to ensure the survival of the Roman empire from 510 BC all the way to 476 A.D, when it is under constant threat from Germanic, Irish, African, Middle Eastern, and Asiatic threat of invaders.

Be the emperor of Rome where you can control vast armies of Roman troops, or allied tribe troops and bring the fight to your enemies by invading their homelands and sacking their towns, villages and capitals before they can raise an army to crush your wonderful Rome. Dissolve the Senate if you feel that they are getting to noisy in your perosnal affairs or scream for democracy, and silence the most noisy senator or citizen by exiling them from Roman territory or burning them at the stake for speaking out against your rule on Rome. Or on the flipside, give in to those democratic voices and push for greater senate control of Roman territory and give more provincial rights to groups that reside inside and outside of Roman territory.

As well you can be a Roman Senator that is looking to assist the people of Rome in all their endeavors or find the easiest way to eliminate competition and gain Emperor power for oneself.

As well play as a Roman soldier that works their way up the ranks to ensure their own survival in Roman territory, and stay as a soldier for all their life or just work for the Romans for one or two campaigns. Or fight against Roman occupation as a savage from one of the hinterlands of the Roman Empire or rise up in a tribal or, gladiator revolt to get concessions for the future.

And finally, work as a farmer or peasant in the world of Roman Empire Legions to survive in Rome and its empire. Come and join REL and have the most fun you will ever have.
