Okay, killing wolves I can understand if you wanted to raise wildlife, not that I think its a good idea, but there is logic there (as I said in my earlier Wyoming-Montana thread).
Killing brown bears however...is not so logical.
A brown bear mostly feeds on fish and very young, very old, and very sick moose/elk/caribou...well, and garbage cans.
Point being, they don't pose a threat to a caribou or moose population unless you wanted to raise said animals for consumption and export (which they do).
The brown bear's prey (see above) population is slightly up, due to the fact that human garbage has become a readily available food source for them, but there haven't been many significant increases in their own population (other than the fact they now live much closer to humans).

Yes, Alaska's economy is already in the shitter, but thinking that open season on wolves for the sake of exporting an animal you can raise on a farm is a good idea? That's insanity.
Protecting sheep is one thing, keeping caribou is another...
...but this entire predator-cide to boost the population of caribou and moose is a sick degenerative manipulation of nature, and its only goal is money (even if they do need it).

Wait a minute...I posted here yesterday, where is my post. OMFG!!!!
...I'm too lazy to rewrite it all. I'll edit this post later. Lets see...

Exactly, like bears, wolves do good. They help keep the new generation of animals healthy and cleaned gene pool. I mean, read this. Killing Wolves Mean Killing Other Animals Too
