In this tutorial, we will be going from
user posted image >> user posted image
I used these Narnia screencaps, and cropped my image into a 100x100 icon.
Try to use an image that has the same original coloring for the best results.


GROUP 1

1. Start with base

2. Duplicate base, set on Multiply 100%
3. Duplicate base, set on Screen 100%

4. New layer, fill #0e0000, set on Exclusion 100%
5. Duplicate your exclusion layer, i.e. repeat Step 4
6. New layer, fill #e3f3ff, set on Multiply 100%
7. New layer, fill #c6ddef, set on Color Burn 20%

8. New Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layer
Saturation: +25
Lightness: +5

9. New Color Balance Adjustment Layer
Shadows: +3, 0, 0
Midtones: -15, 0, +5

10. New Selective Color Adjustment Layer
Reds: -30, 0, -10, 0
Yellows: +10, +15, +100, +5
Greens: +100, +100, 0, +100
Cyans: +100, +100, -100, +15
Blues: +100, -100, +100, -100
Magentas: -100, +100, -100, +100
Whites: -25, +50, +100, +5
Blacks: +5, 0, 0, 0

11. Place all these layers in a group and stamp

GROUP 2

1. Duplicate Group 1 stamp, set on Multiply 100%
2. Duplicate Group 1 stamp, set on Screen 100%
3. Duplicate Group 1 stamp, set on Luminosity, 100%
4. Duplicate Group 1 stamp, set on Soft Light 50%
5. Duplicate Group 1 stamp, desaturate, set on Screen 50%

6. New Selective Color Adjustment Layer
Reds: -55, +20, +100, +26
Yellows: +100, -100, +100, 0
Mask everything but the lips

7. New Selective Color Adjustment Layer
Reds: +3, +7, +30, +5
Mask everything but the lips

8. New Layer, fill #cdcec6, set to Darken 50%

9. New Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layer
Saturation: +25
Mask her face and clothing

10. Place all these layers in a group and stamp

HOME STRETCH

1. New layer, fill #c9c9c9, Color Burn 20%
2. New Layer, fill #0a0000, Exclusion, 100%
3. Duplicate your exclusion layer, i.e. repeat step 2

VOILA! All done!
