Okay, so it's really not that hard, but you do need to have a basic knowledge of the workings of photoshop. I'm not going to be making a copy of each step to show you because it takes super long, sorry :s But if you do have any questions, feel free to ask.

S T E P O N E :
- Select your image. I'm pretty sure that this tut will work on most.
- Now crop it to 100x100.
- Desaturate.
- Hard cut. Unless the image has a completely balck background, you will need to make a hard cut. Hard cuts are really very simple, what i do is magnify the image 400-500%. It makes it much easier.

S T E P T W O :
- Create a plain black fill layer and set it as the background.
- Now create another fill layer, fill with #1C9AF3, set to lighten, 59%.
- Duplicate base, set to soft light, bring to top.
- New fill layer, #090627, exclusion, 100%.

S T E P T H R E E :
- Take this texture, set to screen.
- Take this texture, set to screen.
- Take this texture, set to screen.

lol

S T E P F O U R :
- New fill layer, #63BDF0.
- Radial gradient to whtever size you think fits.
- Set to screen, duplicate.

S T E P F I V E :
- Now just type some text in white, 2pt and place wherever you like.

all done!

It also works with different colours:
(however i personally prefer it in the light aqua/blue)

YAY! You put it up!

Here's my afternoon's work. I had to duplicate the base, bring it to top and set it soft light since it was barely seen. And I think it's still too light.

*squints*

Any criticisms are welcome.

i think it's great! but if you still think it's too light then what you can do is duplicate the base and set it on multiply, then fiddle with the opacity settings till you think its just right.

and one more thing, the tiny text is kinda hazy, maybe sharpen it or something?

i came up with these (i did have to set an extra layer on color burn to darken it up a bit)

wow i LOVE the 2nd!
in the 1st and 3rd, they're great, the only thing is that the image quality is down, but other than that they're lovely!

I edited the first and did two others. This tut is just too much fun.

He's a bit dark, but that's because I was too lazy to find the perfect mode to set him on. ;P
