Hi,

My name is Badger (harks from before the internet, well before THE INTERNET).

I came back to the hobby after a lengthy hiatus about 2 years ago. My friends and I have been mostly playing GW specialist games harking back to its and our golden era. Blood Bowl, Necromunda, Gorkamorka, Space Hulk, as well as some more obscure ones.

I first got into Warmachine looking for alternative Dark Eldar models and got sucked deeper and deeper. As a result my faction is Cryx although I have an urge to get some Circle or maybe Trollbloods. Cygnar, particularly Caine look pretty cool to me as well.

I do like to compete when I play but I am not so much into super tuned lists and micro-optimization. I kind of burned myself out with that playing WoW a few years back. I am a software developer by trade and had an application written to read armoury and give relative stat values based on simulated rotations.

I like to play what appeals to me, and that is not always what is considered the most ideal. I was the guy in Black Temple pushing to prove a Balance Druid was viable (I understand most falled flat doing that).

I really like the fluff behind the pirate side of Cryx. I am working on a Terminus conversion and have Skarre in the meantime for my tabletop. Terminus in the fluff and artwork seems like he can end worlds but I think the stock model does not portray that quite so well.

I like units like the Raiders, Witches, Revenants etc, even though I know a lot of people do not. I guess I have more fun taking units which I like for whatever reason, then trying to do as best I can with them, making that my competitive drive. I like the look of the NQ Skarre theme list as well with the living pirates.

I do not mind playing anyone, with any kind of list or motivation. Being pretty new I expect to lose a lot, and did last night. Sorry I have forgotten your name but thanks for the game. Whilst I lost I did learn a couple of things about my units and yours.

I will never rage quit and only a genuine emergency would have me stop (I understand you can save games in that case). Excessive smack talk and over compensation would likely annoy me but only result in preventing a rematch. I am in the UK time zone but with a wildly varying sleep and work pattern.

I am mostly looking for 15-25 point games as the 35 was a bit much for me to manage yet. Do not mind playing them though.

15 to 25 points is just the sort of thing I'm looking for, and I'm pretty new as well. If you'd like we could schedule a game sometime
