Hello
I have found a way to save groups of models, counters etc so they can be loaded at a later date onto any map. if anyone can explain this better im open to some help. however ill have a go. this is how i managed it.
start a new game, and open up the army set up window.
drag the models counters templates and grids that you want to use (for example i used everything i needed for the warmachine battleboxes) make sure they are all deselected before the next step
now go to the menu bar at the top and click on file>begin logfile. (i think this now records any actions you take though if anyone can explain this then please do so)
what i then did was selected all the units i had placed in the window and CTRL C to clone them all - dont unclick them or do anything else yet
now go to file>end logfile - click this it will ask you to name it or something just click ok it will then open a window and ask you to name the vlog file you just made call it something and stash it somewhere handy
now go back to your screen and delete the duplicates you made in the first place
we will now test to see if it works!!
create a new game
open the army set up window - it should be empty
go to file>load continuation - when you click it seems as if nothing has happened, this is ok all you need to do now is click on the play icon at the top left of the screen (the one between the undo button and the sync button) keep clicking it till it says logfile has ended
if all has went to plan all your units will have been insta loaded onto the screen.
if this doesnt work let me know and we will see where ive went wrong and try and fix it but this works for me for terrain ive used to make specific shapes buildings layouts as well as units and battlegroups i like to have already made up
good luck and i appologise if this is badly explained let me know how it goes
Cheers
