The inaugural Warmahordes World Tournament is being held in the spacious and modern Howden Park Centre. Combining with Flames of War, this is to be an annual event organised by Worlds at War; to create the Worlds Gaming Day event.
Worlds Gaming Day - Warmahordes World Tournament Date - 20th May 2012 Sign in - 10am (Any lists on the day in by 10:30am) Start 11am Players Spaces - up to 32 No. of Rounds - 4 Rounds (up to 16 players) 5 Round (16+ Players) Round 1 - 35 pts Round 2 - 35 pts Round 3 - 35 pts Round 4 - 35 pts (16+ Players) or 50 pts (less than 16 players) Round 5 - 50 pts (16+ Players ONLY) For all rounds of 35 pts, you will require 2 lists, under the standard SR 2012 (Character Restrictions apply). For the final 50 pts, there is only ONE list needed. This army does NOT need to meet Character Restriction criteria. This is an all or nothing last game, so choose your army wisely. Artifices are mandatory (Killbox and Reinforcements). So don't forget your Reinforcement points (35 = 7 pts and 50 = 10 pts). We would like to have lists in advance, but will accept on the day; however it must be written out BEFORE you arrive. We will not wait on you writing it out, when you arrive at the event. Remember 2 copies, one for the TO and one for your opponent to look over. Lists can be submitted to caligari@virginmedia.com, or handed into the shop with your name added. As places are limited, tickets should be bought in advance from Warmahorde Worlds Tickets. Alternatively, anyone coming to the event in April, could buy one then directly in the shop. Never noticed the link first time round.
So you can use the same caster for the 50pt game too? This post has been edited by evilsteve on 21st Mar 2012, 10:23 PM |

First up, we are limiting the players spaces to 32; not 36 places as first mentioned. The reason for this, is that more than 32 players this needs 6 rounds; to determine a clear winner. This would make the day very very long, with very little time between games.
Steve, the choice of 50pt Caster/Lock is completely up to you. You don't even have to use the same caster/lock as your 35 pts lists. The only restrictions are for the 35 pts lists, which are character restricted. -------------------- |

This looks like a fun format.
So reserve a place by buying a ticket through the Worlds at War website then? -------------------- |

Yes sorry, so focused on getting details out about both the April and special May event; seems I am updating as I go.
Frank will keep a note of the names buying which tickets, he will send you an email confirmation; with an e-Ticket. It isn't strictly necessary you have the ticket, as he will have a note of your name; but it would help if you did. -------------------- |

Frank of Worlds at War, has just advised we have reached the 16 player mark. There is still time to sign up, to take us into a 5 round event; so head over to Worlds at War website (http://www.worldsatwar.co.uk/warmachine--hordes---35-escalating-to-50-point-steamroller-212-c.asp).
In the event of there being 5 rounds, the timings will be roughly as follows. Round 1 - 10:30am - 11:40 Round 2 - 12:00 - 1:10pm Lunch Round 3 - 2:00pm - 3:10pm Round 4 - 3:30pm - 4:40pm Round 5 - 4:50pm - 6:30pm Any questions, feel free to ask. -------------------- |
