So What's Everyone Up To?

Since this forum seems to be dying on it's arse again, I thought we could have a generic thread just talking about what warmachiney things people have been up to. Also be a good place to post when something annoying happens without facebook people going ? Whaaaaa? ie: shook a pot of Devlan Mud the other night, should probably have closed it first.......

Anyway, after gaining three impromptu days off I decided to spend today sorting out my game board. Currently cutting a foot off it (it was 5 x 4 for my Warhammer days) because it's a bit too big for my room. So that's fun! And hurts! My poor arm
Then I'm going to try and get all my GW terrain painted before Blaze shows up for a game tonight.

Skorne are going well! I'm basically just going through the Praetorians doing touch ups now. They were a bit of a chore but after I've finished them I'm treating myself to painting a brute. Dying to see what the colour scheme will look like on the beasts! Then it's just paingivers, cetrati, bronzeback/molik, Makeda and shaman/Tyrant Commander..........oiy....... and that's just for the Makeda list. TOO MUCH STUFF! It's awsome but still, TOO MUCH!

Right I've procrastinated enough, back to the sawing board.........

I'm lurking on the internets, cackling like someone's grandmother as I read the latest whine thread on the Privateer Forums. The one about Circle not having enough forest making abilities holds my attention at the moment.

I've also started work on pMadrak in the hopes I can rampage things with Reach through an infantry army during his feat turn at a future date. Another thing on my agenda is plotting the downfall of Brian (GUGS guy) on Saturday when I shall pound (or Snack) his army into submission with my Trollbloods.

Your trolls are awsome, be better if you could paint more than one every few months though I just don't have the patience for what you do. I'd like to face off against the Sunshine Kriel when I get my not-so sunshiney Skorne public-ready! Bet your Mauler would love a taste of Titan.

Board's finished! Looked a bit green so I hit it with black and white spraypaint to make it look more battle worn, worked quite well. I'll ink some bits when the terrain's done to make it all muddy. Lovely. Cheers again for the mat Tom. Now I just need to figure out where to keep the damn thing and it's foldy table. Need more flat!

I forgot how boring painting terrain is. Still, only a forest to go! (and that chapel but we'll just ignore that for now....)Need to get my Praetorians finished so they look awsome killing all of Blaze's stupid trolls. PING THEM TO BITS! PING PING! Hopefully they'll take a note from Murchie's swordsmen and (nearly) one-shot a mauler

Crappy cheap troops ftw!

Killing a Mauler requires a sacrifice of blood on your models Mark. Sean discovered this the hard way.

I usually sacrifice a few hamsters to the dice gods, maybe I'll splash some entrails onto my swordsmen too.

Been playing a few games of mk2 with my Troll who have mostly been kicking ass and taking names. Though I'm sure I'm using pygs wrong since I keep doing bugger all with their guns but killing everything they touch with their swords.

I also finally got the buildings that I volunteered to paint for elg done, so I can now start painting trolls again and start my Blitzer conversion. Will be doing Demos at Black Lion again at the weekend, so hopefully I'll get some new converts.

Oh I've also been waiting increasingly impatiently for my Fennblades to turn up.

Trolls are serious nails, I've got a lot of respect for trolls. They win by pure. honest force with none of the chikanery (well maybe a wee bit, bloody armour 18 everything!

What's your conversion?

Conversion isn't going to be anything to earth shattering basically my plan is to take Mauler repose a bit then sculpt a harness then take the pyg ace and slugger from the Blitzer and attach. Doing this since I despise the malnourished dire troll that is the Blitzer, I'm expecting it to go horribly wrong.

See, I just don't remember this happening. I remember killing all but one (but one!) of your vampire-rejects on the first game, then snacking on 8 of them in the next.

Noticed something in my games against Bonatti last night. Troll ARM values are sick, especially on their light trolls (although I always knew this). Reach and Thresher are a match made in heaven. The Thumper is broken. Pure, unadulterated broken. I expect it to be changed.

Well since I work in a comics and toys shop, christmas is messing me up big style.

It nearly worked, I was all excitied about having 6 swordsmen about the axer then you tell me it's ARM 18..............whhhaaaaaaaaaaatttt!!!!???? It retrospect I should have just done two attacks each with 1 auto wound each, that'd at least have been 12 points of damage instead of the 4 or whatever it was I got. Gladiator's animus is quite handy though. No soup for you!

The thumper.......well what can I say.....bloody hell! Took out the Tyrant Commander, a paingiver and finished off the Rhino in one hit! Good.....yes.........broken........a wee bit. I don't think it has to change much though. Maybe less RAT (RAT7!!!! WTF!!!) or shorter RNG, 10" maybe? With SNIPE () it's still RNG14 then. Or maybe make it more expensive, 3pts for a reliable port'a'slam is way too cheap. No heavy is safe with this thing on the field.

Maddy's feat on a dire troll is mental, not to mention with snacking you'll be all healed up after eating my dudes. That feat with Mulg.......jeezo.

pMadrak's feat and anything with Reach is made of awesome, Mulg just hits the hardest.

I've also discovered those gimpy southerners use another forum (http://warhammer.org.uk/phpBB/viewforum.php?f=22) mainly, the gimps that they are. Unfortunately the Maelstrom people are on that forum as well so I'll have to do a lot of checking back and forth.

Well sometimes I do get the feeling this is more the Warmachine Glasgow forum, with a few Edinburgers thrown in for good measure.

More updates. Mulg is different! Possibly extremely deadly! Burrowers are a little bit worse, Hero now has Thresher, not really sure if that's much better. Cleave at least allowed for two attacks on one model. So yeah, nice small changes. Mulg seems pretty awesome now though.

No pretty sure I'm the only one flying the flag for Edinburgh .

Agree I finally feel like paying attention to Mulg he finally seems like the monster I was hoping for. You missed the big one the Krielstone can now run and aura the brick just got a turbo charger. I like the change to the hero since rather than killing at most 2 models in his melee range, he now can possibly kill every last one of them. Hero still needs an armour buff in my opinion though.

Yeah, that's what Trolls need. MORE armour.

I'm over the moon that the Rhino and Gladiator are now MAT6, Gladiator's pretty much fine as he is now. He get a lots of stick for his animus over on the yank forum but I don't understand. Sure it's situational but in those situations it can totally save your sexy boney Skorne arse. I know Blaze cried when he couldn't thresher.
Rhino's animus is a bit balls but hopefully it'll get changed to overtake Still think the Bronzeback needs more than an extra ST to make him worth 10pts though, especially as he's practically a Gladiator with an awsome animus and berzerk (which is a bit pointless). Reach on tusks please! Come on PP! You can do it!

What do the Circle players think of Kromac now then? At first I thought his new feat was bit crap but then I realised that means big K can have 18 fury once per game! Between shifting, pouncing and god knows how many attacks he's brutal! Think I'll get me a Tharn army one day.
