Georgia’s impudent look as she glanced at him told him that she was none too pleased to see him. Of course, he was used to that kind of reaction in town, but it was a little harsh to get the cold shoulder from a four year old.

If one was to look up the word 'organized' in Webster's Dictionary, one would come face-to-face with a picture of one Sherry Hayden. In fact, her photo would be there in lieu of the written definition, because she is organization personified. The woman who flipped out because she went into labor a week earlier than was written in her calendar, it's easy to see that she is basically obsessive about keeping her life on schedule, even if it means going to such extremes as to even attempt to regiment giving birth.
Her obsession with keeping things organized goes far beyond her affinity for scheduling things. Every item in her apartment that is part of a collection must be alphabetized and categorized for easy access. Nothing frustrates her more than not being able to find something because it isn't in a specific place. Alphabetizing and categorizing just makes things so much easier -- not to mention, makes things more aesthetically pleasing -- and therefore makes Sherry quite the happy woman.
Sherry's the woman whose medicine cabinet is organized to the max, whose bathroom towels are color-coordinated and arranged three-deep in ascending size on the towel rack, and whose linen cupboard is arranged to progress through the color spectrum, starting with any reds, and ending with any purples. Her bed is always made, and looks basically like one of those model beds in a department store, with all of those extra pillows and throws, things that aren't even imperative to the sleeping process, but look oh-so-nice when the bed is made.
Contrary to popular belief, though, her organizational skills aren't all there is to Sherry. She's a warm-hearted individual with a genuine love of life. She can almost always be found with a warm smile on her face, and ready to give someone a big hug if it looks like they're in need of one. In fact, she's the kind of person who would latch on to another in a massive hug even if there's every indication that a hug is the last thing they want. Some might say she's oblivious to others' feelings -- at least, when they're negative feelings -- and even more so when they're directed at her.
Sherry is hyper-aware of fads in fashion and interior design, and makes it her mission to keep others as attuned to the workings of the world of appearances as well. That being said, she isn't really a snobby person, or vain at all. She just likes looking nice, and likes to help others look nice as well. She loves to shop, and enjoys spending the day at the mall with girlfriends. She just finds it relaxing, and a very therapeutic process. Sherry's been known to flock to the mall after fights with Christopher or any of her friends, and spend hours, even if it's just window-shopping.
Speaking of hyper...Sherry is kind of high-strung, and has been known to get very upset when things don't go her way. When Christopher was late for Gigi's birth -- thanks to the inconsiderate-ness of the baby, and her blatant disregard for the beauty of schedules -- Sherry very nearly had some kind of coronary, and it took her quite awhile to calm down. In fact, she only calmed down when he walked through the door. Though she doesn't get worked up very often, when she does, it's as though the world is ending, and Sherry's right where the asteroid is going to hit, and nothing is going to quiet her.
Family and friends are very important to her, and nothing hurts her more than when someone she loves does something to hurt her feelings, whether intentionally or unintentionally. Although some might disagree, the last thing Sherry ever wants to do is hurt anyone, and so she doesn't always understand why people try and hurt her. Despite the fact that she did try to get to know Rory, and to get Rory to accept her, she never really saw a reason to try and befriend Lorelai. As far as Sherry's concerned, Lorelai will forever be competition for her, and as a result, chooses to remain distant. She'll be civil, friendly even, but doesn't have any desire to actually become friends.
Despite the tiffs she's had with Christopher, she really is in love with him, and as such, was more than glad to take him back after returning home from France and learning of his marriage and subsequent divorce from Lorelai. Some might say she's crazy for doing so, and all she has to say is that she is. She's crazy in love, and genuinely does feel like Christopher is the Prince Charming she's always dreamed of.

appearance::
Christopher's ex-ex-wife is a pretty little thing, with creamy ivory skin and somewhat-exotic-looking features. Framed by dramatically-arched brows and thick, dark lashes, her eyes are somewhat almond-shaped, and are an interesting shade of slate blue. With a small, upturned nose, and full, pouty lips, there's something about her, even if she isn't model-gorgeous, that makes people want to look at her. More often than not, her mouth is turned up in a bright, toothpaste-commercial-worthy grin, displaying deep dimples in her cheeks.
Sherry is an incredibly petite woman, standing at about five feet, four inches tall, and weighing about one hundred and ten pounds. Even when pregnant with daughter Georgia, she didn't weigh much more than 130 pounds, prompting the disgust of Lorelai, who (unbeknownst to her, of course) had so been looking forward to seeing her expand to the size of a hot-air balloon. Her waist is almost disgustingly tiny, and there's something about her form that gives the impression that she wouldn't be very comfortable to hug -- she's pretty bony, even though she isn't horribly underweight for her height.
Though she's a natural brunette, before Gigi's birth she went nearly-platinum-blonde, which actually rather suited her. Her hairstyle changes routinely, ranging from straight and past shoulder-length with no bangs to above-shoulder-length and curly with wispy, side-swept bangs. The style also varies between down and pulled back. When at work, it's more often than not pulled out of her face to allow for a more professional air, but when she's at home, she can very often be found with it pushed back with a headband or just left to its own devices.
Her wardrobe is ultra-fashionable, and is filled with stylish, well-tailored pieces. She prides herself on her sense of style, and can always be found in the most up-to-date fashions, though not always designer. Sherry believes firmly in the religion of knock-offs -- at least, good knock-offs -- because hey, if you can look just as good for a fraction of the money, then why not? Nobody else needs to know. Her makeup is understated and classy, most often displaying muted shadows, light liner, a hint of blush, and a touch of mascara. Her choice in lipcolor tends towards light pinks, or most often, a simple coat of gloss.
history::
Sherry Marie Tinsdale was born on July 11, 1972, in Boston, Massachusetts. An only child, she longed for brothers and sisters, although none ever came. Her childhood was relatively uneventful, and she made her way through her schooling with no real drama. She had a good relationship with her doting -- if not somewhat overbearing -- parents, didn't drink, sleep around, or do any sort of illegal substances; she was just a good kid, basically.
After being homecoming queen her senior year of high school, she attended Boston University, where she received her degree in advertising, and fluttered through a couple of small jobs after her graduation from college. Shortly after she turned twenty-three, she was hired as an assistant advertising consultant for a relatively-well-known cosmetics company, and rose through the ranks to become a consultant herself by age twenty-six. Sherry's professional life was well on its way, but her love life was another story.
Though she'd had a couple of boyfriends, none had gotten to be very serious. Being pressured by her mother to 'find the right man,' 'give her grandchildren,' Sherry began to feel somewhat inadequate and as a result, wasn't an especially happy young woman for awhile...until she met Christopher Hayden in 2002. The pair became involved in a relationship shortly after meeting, and Sherry was happy. Even Chris seemed to be happy, although he was making lots of trips to Stars Hollow, Connecticut, to see his daughter and her mother.
This made Sherry somewhat nervous, until Christopher invited her along to see his daughter Rory in a debate at Chilton. She and Christopher spent the weekend in Stars Hollow at the Independence Inn, where Lorelai was the manager, and Sherry asked Rory to go shopping with her, an attempt at becoming part of Rory's life. The day was a pretty good one, at least in Sherry's book, and before Chris and Sherry left to go back to Boston, she told Rory that she was free to call her at any time, that she'd love to spend more time with her.
Despite the fact that the relationship seemed to be going well, Sherry and Christopher hit a rough patch, and broke up...until Sherry called him and told him that she was pregnant. When he returned to Boston -- from Stars Hollow, where else? -- she insisted that they get married, and after daughter Georgia's premature birth -- for which Chris was nearly too late thanks to a business trip that took him out of the Boston area, and for which Rory and Lorelai were both present at the hospital -- they did.
After two years' worth of marriage -- during which Sherry was getting increasingly upset because of Chris' constant departures for Stars Hollow and his spending more time with Rory than with Gigi -- she made the decision to divorce him, and headed for Paris upon receiving a job opportunity, leaving Christopher to be the sole parent to their daughter. After awhile, she asked that Chris bring Gigi to see her, and he did -- but he brought Lorelai as well. Sherry was made aware of how much she actually missed him, but was shocked to discover that the pair had married.
Now, after a little under a year, and after hearing that Chris and Lorelai had divorced, Sherry has welcomed her ex-husband back into her life, and has even gone so far to marry him...again. The only thing? She's moved to Stars Hollow in order to help establish a hold for the advertising company in the small-town setting.
