Georgia’s impudent look as she glanced at him told him that she was none too pleased to see him. Of course, he was used to that kind of reaction in town, but it was a little harsh to get the cold shoulder from a four year old.

*Chris was still frantically putting two and two together and coming up with what he hoped was five because he really didn’t want the next words out of Sherry’s mouth to involve pregnancy in anyway shape or form. It wasn’t that Chris didn’t like children, far from in fact, but he didn’t want his next child to be another accident.
Chris -- news, news, and damn statistics

>>*He just didn’t want to come home one day and find that Gigi had balanced an iron over her new sibling’s crib like Josh in that British Sitcom Cold Feet. Which reminded him, he had to move all of those things doubly out of his daughters reach. Just in case.
Chris -- G O O D.news|B A D.news

*When Chris was in a slightly more bitter mood than he was today he would think that part of the reason Lorelai loved Luke so much was his ability to make her coffee exactly the way she liked it.
Chris -- [p l a y i n g] the CARDS you get

*Before Chris had met Luke he had been unaware that glowers could pierce through walls, now he could feel Luke glowering at him from a distance of up to two hundred metres with or without obstacles.
Chris -- [p l a y i n g] the CARDS you get

>>*When he reached the fourth floor he found himself in a corridor that fed onto many other corridors and not a single one of them had a big neon sign saying “Lorelai Gilmore and her complicated family this way please.”
Chris -- some kind of [MIRACLE]

*Death threats weren’t exactly something Christopher was unused to by this point in time, in fact over the last few months Chris could probably count more death threats than he could count praises (especially if you included all of those which Luke probably thought but never voiced). Still, it wasn’t exactly pleasant to hear your name in conjunction with the phrase ‘you are dead’, even if you made allowances for labour pain.
Chris -- some kind of [MIRACLE]

*He had a son. William James Richard. Just as Lorelai had hoped he had a little bit of every part of their complicated family. He was the equivalent of the Hayden-Gilmore-Danes coalition Stars and Stripes: a representation of everything so that no one felt left out.
Chris -- some kind of [MIRACLE]

*He really didn’t want to ruin this day but Emily had a talent for getting on his nerves. It was partly because she reminded him of everything he had hated about his childhood and partly because the woman had spent twenty years telling him to marry her daughter only to start hating him even more when he did.
Chris -- some kind of [MIRACLE]

*Chris wished his daughter was old enough for him to explain to her that she had saved his life, not in the dramatic literal sense but insofar as she had made him a much better person and shown him the way to grow up simply by coming into the world.
Chris -- _practice makes P E R F E C T

*Those moments when Gigi ‘forgot’ she was a big girl were heart warming, especially when they involved mittened hands being snuck into his own gloved ones as they walked along.
Chris -- __shall we {{D A N C E?

*In the end they had decided that Gigi should go to Lorelai and Luke's if they were needed in the hospital overnight --something which Chris was sure would do wonders for his 'friendship' with Lorelai's husband-- and that was that.
Chris -- `` and baby makes {{ f o u r

*"I really have to ask now, why is your hair sort of blue? I mean, I know you dyed it, but what's the reason behind it? If you don't mind my asking, that is. I'm just curious. I can't remember anyone turning their hair a different color in high school, well, I guess it's been a while, but I'm pretty sure I would have remembered."
Dean -- Through the Rabbit Hole

>>*"...So, of course, I called Francine right up, and she told me that it was true! Well, I told her. I told her that her son was an idiot, a philandering, fickle idiot, whose decisions over the course of most of his life were made as a last resort to fixing past mistakes, and that if I heard of him bothering you and Rory in any way, that I would be in that quaint little town faster than she could say 'boo,' and that I'd be setting him straight."
Emily -- it's a girls' night in

*If Emily had been shocking those around her before this, then she was probably batting a thousand...if she were the kind of woman to use such low analogies as baseball ones.
Emily -- [goodnight]__and__[goodbye]

*"It wasn't a bit, Richard, she really is pregnant!"
Emily -- [goodnight]__and__[goodbye]

*While Emily still wasn't his biggest fan, he had been responsible for that party in Stars Hollow for Rory, and he was genuinely fond of both her daughter and her granddaughter, and he wasn't going back and forth between marriages like one went back and forth between a pair of shoes.
Emily -- [goodnight]__and__[goodbye]

*"A good name," Emily said as she linked her arm through Rory's, nodding. "Strong name, he'll be something great, with so many good names." From what Emily could recall, William was Luke's father's name...and that was her way of saying that she accepted all of this.
Emily -- some kind of [MIRACLE]

*"You are Jess...Luke's nephew right.....I heard that you are a publisher...what kind of stuff do you publish?"
“Books.”
Galen & Jess -- Through the Rabbit Hole

>>*So, she’d politely told her mommy and daddy ‘no thank you’ and when they’d told her that she was getting [a new sibling] anyway, Gigi got frustrated because she was polite—she said ‘no thank you’!
Gigi -- G O O D.news|B A D.news

*She chose her moment carefully; everyone was sitting and things were relatively quiet so she knew she would be heard. “Auntie Lorelai, are you sick too because you have a baby in your tummy like Mommy does?”
Gigi -- G O O D.news|B A D.news

*“No thank you, I think I’ll call you Uncle Luke,” she said matter-of-factly. He wasn’t going to change her mind that easily… in fact, he probably wasn’t going to change her mind at all.
Gigi -- some kind of [MIRACLE]

*He had to admit, she looked stunning and that was saying something considered it was Lorelai (the only woman—besides maybe Paris—that had ever actually scared him).
Jess -- at the B E G I N N I N G with {{you

*They were all going to see him with Rory and he had a feeling that everyone would be sending him those dirty looks and those ‘I can’t believe they’re back together’ looks and those ‘only bad things will come of this’ looks to each other that Patty and Babette send each other when they think no one’s looking.
Jess -- __shall we {{D A N C E?

>>*Georgia’s impudent look as she glanced at him told him that she was none too pleased to see him. Of course, he was used to that kind of reaction in town, but it was a little harsh to get the cold shoulder from a four year old.

*but what he did know was that an interaction with rory gilmore was the last thing he wanted.
Logan -- & walk away before I { FINISH WHAT YOU STARTED }

*“Well, if it was in the name of fashion I suppose I can forgive it just this once.”
Lorelai -- ::he'sallIthinkABOUT

*“Ah, I remember the days of being able to bribe Rory with the promise of a new package of pencils. Cherish those days, pal, because they don’t last forever,”
Lorelai -- ::he'sallIthinkABOUT

*“You know, a shield like that would actually be handy in here—all you would have to do is flash it by Kirk when he was irritating you and he would instantly be distracted by the pretty shiny thing and that would be the end of whatever he was trying to sell you, share with you, or attempting to talk you into. I don’t know if it would work on Taylor, but I bet you could try.”
Lorelai -- ::he'sallIthinkABOUT

*Of course no one could just let her throw up in peace.
Lorelai -- G O O D.news|B A D.news

*It was bad enough having had lied to him to for so long about her feelings about him and lying to herself about her feelings for Luke that she was just tired of lying. She was tired of covering her tracks and getting sucked into her own stories.
Lorelai -- G O O D.news|B A D.news

>>*Yup, something large and extremely heavy to bludgeon herself with would be super right then.
Lorelai -- [goodnight]__and__[goodbye]

*For a moment she wondered if Chris had kept all that stuff just in case they did wind up with another daughter who would look adorable in a sleeper made from one of her vintage Bananarama t-shirts. She then remembered Christopher’s comment about no more pictures of kids on 80’s clothing so she put the thought aside… besides, the Bananarama jumper was in Rory’s baby box so she could still pull it out if she really wanted to.
Lorelai -- [p l a y i n g] the CARDS you get

*“I know it’s a lot and it’s a little weird but we’re one big, twisted family and you are one lucky little boy to have all these people in your life, William James Richard Gilmore. One very lucky little boy, indeed. Happy birthday, Liam.”
Lorelai -- some kind of [MIRACLE]

*Lorelai shifted slightly in her bed and was reminded painfully of what having another child would entail but the thought of finding herself in this exact same position within the next couple of years didn’t seem as daunting as it once had. However, it was a discussion to be had after the wedding because for once in her life she wanted to get this down in the right order.
Lorelai -- some kind of [MIRACLE]

*Lorelai knew Luke must love her if he was willing to put up with all the townsfolk’s crap just to do something to surprise her like this. He was a private man but just for her he’d let strangers into a personal section of his life.
Lorelai -- it {{feels like HOME to [[me

*Luke had to have spent hours, days, weeks, possibly even months putting together a crib for her child. Even knowing it wasn’t his son or daughter, Luke chose to do so anyway… chose to put the time and effort and resources into such a practical and beautiful gift.
Lorelai -- it {{feels like HOME to [[me

*A couple of hired hands very carefully moved the beautifully carved chuppah from the yard of Lorelai’s old house into the gazebo; just barely fitting it in after temporarily removing the benches on the sides of the structure. This was Lorelai’s only surprise for Luke, other than the wedding gown she’d purchased, as she’d been far too eager to share all of the plans as well as seek his approval on everything
Lorelai -- at the B E G I N N I N G with {{you

*But in that moment, waiting to finally marry Luke, she had none of the same reservations as she’d had back then. All she felt was love, impatience, and the overwhelming knowledge that it was right.
Lorelai -- at the B E G I N N I N G with {{you

*She had been perfectly fine until she saw Luke standing at the end of the isle, waiting for her, and all of a sudden her breath caught in her throat and her heart started pounding in her chest. Lorelai had nothing against his normal, everyday flannel man look… she loved it, to be entirely honest, but there was just something about seeing her man all dressed up in some penguin suit that she knew he was hating every minute of wearing.
Lorelai -- at the B E G I N N I N G with {{you

*It meant as much to Lorelai that he’d walk her down the isle as it had to Richard to be asked to do so; he’d never thought that his headstrong and wildly independent daughter would ever ask him to walk her down the isle.
Lorelai -- at the B E G I N N I N G with {{you

*She was practically a coffee blood hound; she was willing to bet she could find the one decaf cup of coffee in a line of a million cups if given the opportunity to find out.
Lorelai -- __shall we {{D A N C E?

*Seriously, it was testament to her daughter and the trademark Gilmore pout combined with Rory’s big blue Bambi eyes that she had gotten the resident town delinquent, or former-delinquent as the case may be, into a pair of shoes like that.
Lorelai -- __shall we {{D A N C E?

*But she also knew that she couldn’t live like this forever. Something had to give, be it her marriage to Luke or the fight they were currently in.
Lorelai -- my{{heart is heavy, does it __show?

*It was ridiculous… they’d gotten married for goodness sake, didn’t that count for something? Shouldn’t that have meant that they were beyond getting into petty screaming matches in the middle of town events? That they were beyond trying to wound one another with words that would hit below the belt? When the answer in her own head was a sarcastic ‘Guess not’, Lorelai turned the volume up on her jeep as loud as it would go to drown her own thoughts out.
Lorelai -- my{{heart is heavy, does it __show?

*Divorcing Christopher had sucked because it was divorce, it was admitting she’d made a mistake, but divorcing Luke would probably crush her into tiny enough pieces that she doubted she would ever recover.
Lorelai -- my{{heart is heavy, does it __show?

*"I'm sorry, the last of the coffee IVs were taken fifteen minutes ago. The customer wanted it because it happened to go with his candy cane stethoscope. I was tempted to save it for you, but you know what they say about early birds, and hey, it was all in the price of fashion, so I knew you wouldn't mind. You'll have to settle for caffeinated death in a cup like everyone else"
Luke -- ::he'sallIthinkABOUT

*"Wow, that is quite the debacle, I guess I'll have to get myself a very shiny shield so I don't have to look at Six o Clock Lorelai directly before I take on such a powerful foe"
Luke -- ::he'sallIthinkABOUT

>>*"You do not tape your flyers to MY diner. It's my diner, I do not allow flyer taping in my diner. It's against the rules. You don't like the rules, you go somewhere else, and take your flyers with you! And if I ever did decide to allow flyers in my diner, they most definitely would not be yours! "
Luke -- >> with sugar and spice everything's nice

*He had to admit that he was very proud of her and at times he had to admit that he wished that he was her father and not the man in the dining room. He'd certainly tried his best to be there for her over the years. Could Christopher say the same?
Luke -- G O O D.news|B A D.news

*Luke really just wanted to get away, but like a week before he was once again trapped. It was like a train wreck happening right in front of him, and Luke just couldn't look away.
Luke -- G O O D.news|B A D.news

*Luke just couldn't get over how extremely creepy it was that two women, two very opposite women were both pregnant at the same time with the same guys baby. It was like something out of a poorly written badly rehashed horror movie.
Luke -- G O O D.news|B A D.news

>>*Then again it was probably better this way, Luke didn't want to add to the list of people that could potentially vomit in this house at any second.
Luke -- G O O D.news|B A D.news

*Luke bet that Christopher would be pretty dang smug about this ordeal.
Luke -- G O O D.news|B A D.news

*But Luke had come to terms with this and he wasn't letting anyone get in the way of his happiness especially not even a wailing infant that wasn't even wailing yet, but it would wail, like infants tend to do, especially seeing that the baby was related to Christophers. Bad bad bad genes. It was a wonder that Rory had turned out so well, it was impressive, extraordinary. A miracle.
Luke -- when a {DAUGHTER} needs her [FATHER]

>>*He did not care how smart they claimed to be. Cutting open his fiance was not smart. She could bleed. Weren't they aware of the facts?
Luke -- some kind of [MIRACLE]

*Well he was, because he was there for Lorelai, and there was no way in the universe that he would miss being in the hospital when she gave birth to a child, his or otherwise, it didn't matter, he was there. End of story.
Luke -- some kind of [MIRACLE]

*It was probably for the best anyway. Luke wouldn't have been a very good father. He'd try and everything, he'd try really hard, but he just didn't have the stuff. He did have April. But she was amazing. She was smart, and good, and if she needed something she would just tell Luke, and Luke would do it and she would be happy
Luke -- some kind of [MIRACLE]

*As for the whole bit about the kid having him wrapped around his finger, well Luke wasn't even going to address that. Except he wasn't soft. He hoped? Was he soft? No. He didn't think so. Well maybe a little bit, but really did she have to bring it up?
Luke -- some kind of [MIRACLE]

*"Only if you're ready to go. I hear that some people go to hospitals once and never want to leave. There have been books written about them," he answered, handing her a small bouquet of blue flowers, "I'm sorry. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to get for this sort of thing. I'm sure Christopher has the cigar thing handled."
Luke -- it {{feels like HOME to [[me

*And then Lorelai spotted the crib. "Oh. I started working on that a bit after you told me. It probably isn't as good as one bought from a store or anything, but it will work."
Luke -- it {{feels like HOME to [[me

*And Luke learned to deal with that and was able to fully shake off the marriage matter in a nonchalant manner and continue to exist in the setting he had created for himself as if it was a gigantic comfort blanket. Then in moved that annoying, overcaffeinated brunette and everything changed. Suddenly, deep down, Luke wanted more. His comfort blanket wasn't quite enough any more.
Luke -- at the B E G I N N I N G with {{you

*A smile spread across his face as he stood by the creation that he had carved all those years ago for Lorelai's wedding, ignorant that Lorelai's wedding would actually end up including him. And it was then that all the fears and doubts that this would actually happen flew away, leaving Luke with only one thought. It was about time.
Luke -- at the B E G I N N I N G with {{you

*It was times like these where Luke wondered what he had done in his past life to deserve this kind of hell.
Luke -- __shall we {{D A N C E?

*Lorelai of course sounded ecstatic. Which was good, if Luke had to go to through this for her, then she had better be the happiest wife on earth.
Luke -- __shall we {{D A N C E?

*He couldn't believe that Jess had dressed up. Liz probably wouldn't have even had to have told him to take a picture. It was inconceivable and something that Luke planned on showing Jess's grandchildren for eons to come.
Luke -- __shall we {{D A N C E?

*"I'm here to book a room... isn't that what inn's are for?"
Max -- Awkwardness

>>*Paris had found from experience that if you give someone room to argue, they will.
Paris -- Not passing through

>>*“You can’t do this to me, Logan! You can’t do this to anyone. You can’t just come in here, apologize for everything, talk like a literary hero, and expect me to just immediately take back what I said. I don’t want to marry you. Not right now. I don’t even know that I’d want to marry you in five years’ time. You aren’t God, Logan. You can’t bend people to do what you want them to. And if you expect me to change my mind because you’re trying to force me to change my mind, you’re really, really mistaken.”
Rory -- WeLCoMe to the { l o n e l y HEARTS } club

*At twenty-two, Rory wasn't sure she wanted the possibility to be true, but if it was, there was obviously nothing that she could do about it, and so she'd have to deal with it gracefully. She'd have to be supportive, and happy about it, and she'd have to be there for her mom for everything, and make sure Luke was okay with it all, because if he wasn't, then he'd have to deal with one very upset Rory, and...oh, Jesus, this was all possibly more difficult than she could comprehend at this hour of the morning, with only one cup of coffee in her system.
Rory -- someone else's story

>>*Rory supposed she hadn't needed such domestic moments; her life and childhood had been filled with better moments, moments that had shaped her into the person she was today, moments that included her and her mother and all of the fabulous eccentrics in Stars Hollow who had taken the Gilmore girls into their extended family.
Rory -- G O O D.news|B A D.news

>>*Sometimes, she got the slight impression that Chris was feeling a little overshadowed by the fact that almost every single person in his life was female -- Lorelai, herself, Sherry, Gigi, Francine -- and she imagined that a son might help to alleviate that a little bit.
Rory -- some kind of [MIRACLE]

*Yes, even the girl who idolized Christiane Amanpour wasn't always entirely eloquent, or even coherent.
Rory -- some kind of [MIRACLE]

*While she had been more than a little wary of the Christopher-Lorelai marriage – mostly because she’d hated that she hadn’t been there to see it secured – this felt entirely natural, and that it was something that was absolutely meant to happen.
Rory -- at the B E G I N N I N G with {{you

*She was excited that the marathon had finally come around -- she'd missed the last few thanks to school and assignments and other various interferences from life -- and she was glad to be dancing with Jess. She was glad Luke was dancing with Lorelai, and she was glad that Chris was dancing with Gigi
Rory -- __shall we {{D A N C E?

*Normally, this would be about the point where she would have had to brush a hovering, delusional Finn away with a roll of her eyes, with a long line of apologies to whomever she'd been talking to.
Rosemary -- nightCAP

*She'd never been one who dealt well with blood.
Sherry -- >> with sugar and spice everything's nice

*Maybe she'd adopted some sort of funny, French-Bostonese or something, and therefore, people here in Stars Hollow couldn't quite understand what she was saying.
Sherry -- >> with sugar and spice everything's nice

*Of course, if Sherry had known both of them better, she also might have just given them both hugs. After all, anger usually masks either an insecurity or just plain sadness, and hugs were always the best remedies for that.
Sherry -- >> with sugar and spice everything's nice

*Oh, this was all going to be just wonderful. Sherry didn't think she could get more excited about this night.

...if she only knew.
Sherry -- G O O D.news|B A D.news

*"Christopher, be nice," Sherry snapped, though Sherry-snapping and normal-person-snapping were quite different.
Sherry -- G O O D.news|B A D.news

*Sure, she understood that this was probably a very weird, very awkward, and very tense time for her husband, having just learned that he was going to be a father again by two different women, but that didn't give him the right to be so mean to their guest, especially when poor Luke was probably positively crushed by the fact that Lorelai was going to be giving birth to her ex-husband's child.
Sherry -- G O O D.news|B A D.news

*But Sherry was nothing if she wasn't optimistic, and she had faith that they could at least salvage some of this evening.
Sherry -- G O O D.news|B A D.news

*With the births of both of these children, the four of them were intricately linked together -- yes, all four -- regardless of whether or not Luke was 'officially' linked to either of the children in question, he was an important part of Lorelai's life, and would be present in the child's life -- even though Sherry had no 'official' link to that child, she figured that the fact that Chris was the baby's father at least figured her in.
Sherry -- G O O D.news|B A D.news

*Yes, Sherry had finally accepted it, really and truly, and the sight of the glowing brunette and the tiny, wriggling little person in her arms was enough to make her know that she had made the right decision in not being selfish. Sherry had nearly lost too much by being selfish, including her own daughter.
Sherry -- some kind of [MIRACLE]

>>*Sherry was sitting a few seats away from Emily, and as Gigi passed her, she resisted the urge to reach out and adjust the bow in her daughter’s hair – luckily, her seven-month-pregnant belly didn’t really allow her to do much moving at all while sitting, considering that she very well could have toppled over to her side and rolled like a beach ball.
