This is a common thread I see around alot of forums and It's an easy way to see what your doing at this point and time, plus, it helps show us everyone's taste in musics. Or at least gives an idea.

Jerry Goldsmith - Star Trek: Voyager
I'm currently working on arranging this piece of music for my old high school jazz band. I've listened to this countless times already! 
I just finished roughing out the new arrangement by ear...which means I'm about half done. 
I just hope the band has a good 1st trumpet player and a good piano player!

I am not really into any bands but I like to listn to the soundtracks for the Ace Combat games, especially Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies and Ace Combat 5. The soundtrack is on the game disks. The soundtrack for Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War is also pretty good.
