all innocence is gone
It was still dark outside, with the sun about ready to rise at any second and a good think too, for it was the night of the full moon and the werewolves were out and about. Now, it probably would have been smart if the man could have taken notice of such a thing – he should have known about them – and yet, he decided against any of the thoughts of danger that lingered within his mind were pushed in the back of his head. Nothing could have happened tonight, he was safe. If only the man knew that transforming into a dhole was probably not the best thing that he could have done. It was thanks to this move, this selfish little move, that the creature was now running, not for fun or pleasure, but for his life. He just should have known about it, should have known that werewolves enjoyed chasing those who were not-so-human. Edwin should have known that it would be just his luck in order to run into none other than a werewolf. If that was taken into consideration, maybe this whole mess wouldn’t have been happening but of course, there was no way in order to change the past. What was happening was happening and now, he would have to deal with the decision that he made. It might be life or death for him but it was all his fault.
He should have known better..
His heart was beating rapidly against his chest, his ears pinned against his skull as he ran as fast as he could, trying to escape the oversized beast that was behind him. His mind was in a rush, trying his best to figure out what would the best hiding place be at the moment. Of course, there were a couple of places in which one could hide in the woods but the thing was this: he was about the size of a collie, so that didn’t help him out at all. Then, there was a raging beast behind him that would have loved to chew on his head for dinner. Yes, that wasn’t something in which he needed at all. He just needed a chance in order to escape the beast that was behind him though it was more going to be luck for him. Before his mind to think of something else, he felt the snapping of jaws as well as something grabbing at the tip of his tail, pulling out a few hairs in the process. This caused him to let out a loud yelp and run even faster upon the moist ground. Shit.. SHIT!! It was all getting too much for him at the moment. He was becoming far more tired than what he would have imagined, the pain in his chest swelling with each movement that he made. He was tiring fast but he needed to survive. That was the one thing in which he needed fto do at the moment.
Luckily for him, there seemed to have been luck upon his side, especially when his eyes noticed something in the distance. His home, tucked neatly into the woods. He was almost there! As tired as he was, his mind pushed him faster and faster, knowing that he was almost home and almost to his safety area. There was just one area that was blocking him at the moment, and that was the stone fence that the man had in order for his own privacy. But that would be easy to jump, wouldn’t it? When he was close enough, he took a leap of faith and jumped towards the fence though his calculations were off. His body instead hit it, a sickening crunch sounded as he fell towards the ground in a heap of fur. But instead of getting up and defending himself, he just laid there as still as could be, his body aching and his breathing heavy. His eyes just looked at the creature before him, watching it as he loomed closer and closer. Yet, he wasn’t going to fight it, he couldn’t find it. He was tired from the long run – far more tired than what he would have imagined. He just couldn’t fight something that was twice his size, at least not yet. It was something in which he could never fight when he was like this.
So now he would have to suffer for the actions in which he had caused.
Yet he couldn’t give up, that was not something in which was acceptable within his mind. He was a shifter and had escaped dangerous situation multiple times before. The dhole needed to figure out a way out of this. Before he even knew what he was doing, he allowed a whimper to escape his body, his eyes just staring at the creature before him as he pleaded with it for his life. In the meantime, his eyes looked towards the horizon, hoping to see that small glimmering hope that was supposed to be coming to save him. He knew that it would be soon but as for how long, it was rather hard to tell. He couldn’t allow for this to happen to him, not now. No, he needed to figure out a way. As though he knew he had no chance out of this, he pleaded to the Big Man up above, hoping that if there was someone up there, that was he actually listening to him. Please don’t let this happen to me. I have learned my lesson.. Whether or not it would work he didn’t know. He would just have to wait it out and see what would happen. As for now, he just need to keep his attention upon the beast before him, especially if he didn’t want to end up as its dinner.

Putting up the last chair, she looked around the bar. Everything was clean and from what she could hear, nothing was in here as well. Sighing, she moved behind the bar, taking her bag and the keys and her coat before exiting her own little business and locking the door. The next few steps were the most hated steps by her. Getting into her car in order to drive up to the mountain and the adjoining forest in which she hid herself from the world for this one night. There was a little shack in which she hid her clothes, since she was keen on waking up, her naked body being covered in dirt and leafs. Opening the door of her car, Yamila closed her eyes shortly, praying like each time that it wouldn't hurt so much, but those prayers were in vain. It would hurt, every single time and there wasn't much she or anybody else could. Placing herself on her seat and behind the steering wheel, Yamila turned her car on before she let her foot slowly step on the accelerator. With a jerk the car started to move, the steering wheel underneath her hands were smoothly moving as she drove to her destination. It was late afternoon, but she would most likely spend her time simply waiting for her fate to take place for the millionth time, or at least that is how she felt.
After a ride which made her feel like she was driving for hours, she hid her car on a parking spot which was built for hikers which decided to explore the mountains and the forest. However, since there weren't many people at night in the forest and also because there was a rumor that the forest was cursed. People becoming crazy because of the things that they have seen there. They weren't crazy. They were damn right with what they saw, but due to the massive production of vampire and werewolves movies nobody believed in those supernatural beings anymore, which was just an advantage for people like Yamila. Turning off the engine, she stepped out of her car, moving to the trunk in order to retrieve a backpack. It was getting darker and definitely colder, she had to be quick, so she decided to walk further in a faster pace. After half an hour of bending underneath some branches and gauging twigs or bushes which had thorns on them, she reached the shack. It was old and rotten, the perfect building in order to change. Dragging at a plank, she slipped through the gap which appeared, dragging it even further, so she could later on break free in order to hunt.
It was time. She just had about five mintues left. Taking of her clothes and putting them in her backpack, she was quick to spread a blanket on the ground, lying down on it as she waited for the transformation to start. As if it was rehearsed a grunt escaped her as her arm started to twitch into an awkward position. It seemed as if an invisible force was taking control of her body and made her body move in a jerkful motion, making the whole procedure look utterly painful and like torture. It was true, that was exactly how she felt. Yamila's body writhed under all the pressure, high pitched cries coming from her as she tried to take the pain in. After some time it was done. There wasn't anything human about her anymore. She was that animal that she always hated, but had to live with. Growling, she stood on all her four paws, shaking her head before she rose her head, sniffing the air. There it was. This feeling that she couldn't suppress anymore, not in this form and she wouldn't do so. The hunger was almost killing her, so she carefully stepped out into the moonlight-drenched forest and ran off. That was what she basically did, run around, pry on animals that where potential sustenance. This night wasn't her best, she caught a rabbit, but her stomach still told her that she wasn't full. Roaming through the forest, she was looking for something else to eat, without success. It was clear that the other animals would feel her presence and know that their lifes would be in danger if they crossed her path. However, there was something. Slowly the wolf moved to a tree, crouching and hiding within the rich green grass which was now wet due to the morning dew. What she saw was definitely something which would satiate her hunger.
A dhole. Not as big as her and it was straying through the woods all alone. Snarling, she waited until the dhole stepped on a twig which immediately cracked underneath its paws, that was the sign. With a small jump of her strong hind paws, she appeared behind the dhole, her animalstic side taking over for the second time on that day. She dashed forward, a growl could be heard from her as she ran after her next meal. It noticed her, of course it would and started run. It was bigger than a rabbit, then again she was bigger and trained to do this. Yamila ran behind the animal, jumping from rock to rock, stomping on the grass, even trying to take a shortcut and trying to somehow overwhelm the dhole, but it was fast. Apparently, it knew where it wanted to go, but she had to get it before the sun would rise and before it could escape. As she was close enough, Yamila opened her jaw, with the next leap, she caught his tail. She would have turned her head and pull it somewhere else, however, all she caught was some hair of the dhole tail, but she wouldn't stop, she had to get him. It was running faster and so did she, this was her last chance for a dinner and she wouldn't let it slip. Letting out a short and low-in-tone bark, she panted as she ran after him. This was tiring, why couldn't that stupid dhole give up and simply be her dinner? Not everything was that easy in life and the growling of her stomach gave her enough motivation to move on, her paws were stomping on the wet ground as she run after it. It yelped when she pulled the hairs out, good, just another move like that, get his tail, drag him back and then finally that bite into the neck to finish it off. Yamila could taste it's blood on her tongue and hear the cracking of the bone when she would bite it to death. She needed it, she had to!
The dhole was fast, she had to admit that and at least this wasn't all that boring, rather entertaining especially when the dhole looked like it was preparing to jump. To where? Taking her eyes off her dinner, she focused on the fence. It wanted to jump over it in order to get to the other side. That was the territory of the humans and werewolves never attacked humans, damn it! She had to have him, had to taste his blood on the top of her tongue, had to rip his fur of his flesh before she could get to the good part and bite into his succulent flesh and tear it off his bones before she could finally chew it and eat it and therefore satisfy her stomach. However, it looked like it was too late and her pace was slowing down. The dhole leaped over and she already expected it to make it and run for its life, then something else happened, though. It hit the fence and the eyes of the wolf widened before it squinted again. This time she was slowly approaching the smaller animal, putting one paw in front of the other while snarling and letting out that growl which often enough heralded death. So sure, she was so sure that she got him now, however, as the yellow ball of heat was rising onto the horizon, everything was too late and the dhole won the game.
All of a sudden a whimper was coming from the beast. Her head was shaking heavily while her paw was moving against it, as if it was trying to push something away. At this point, she would have already returned to the shack in order to be in the reach of her clothes but she was too focused on ripping that dog like creature apart and failed miserably. A loud crack could be heard and the wolf was jumping foward, throwing itself against the rock which was located few steps away from the dhole. Everything was burning and hurting, she wanted to get rid of the pain, do something in her despair. Soon enough her paws weren't paws anymore, it was a delicate hand with five digits on it, covered in dirt ad scratches. Her withers were twisting a very awkward way, resulting in a pain filled yelp, while her true face was slowly revealing itself as well, her snout was slowly turning into a nose, painful cracks being evidence to that. Her loin wasn't an exception as well, it also gave audible noises from it while her whole body was writhing, forced to lie on the ground. As the sun drenched the forest with its light, Yamila was lying on the ground. No, not the beast, but the woman who had to live with this curse.
Lying between the leafs, her body was motionless, the area around her mouth was smudged with the blood of the rabbit, the only thing she ate that night. She was lying there in a fetal curl, in her hair multiple leafs were interwined into her long and dark hair, her skin was immediately reacting to the coldness and the absence of clothing, goose pumps were all over her skin and the small hairs on her skin were standing as well. It was obvious that the female was unconscious, however, the way she was lying there anyone could have been thinking that she was dead. Who knew what would happen if she didn't wake up in the next few minutes in order to escape to her small shack.

He was fearing it, fearing the death that was soon to become of him. The man didn’t want to become someone else’s snack. No, he wanted to live a roam around the area – that is what he wanted. Sitting up, he decided to at least take death with some sort of grace and strength. His eyes closed lightly, awaiting the death grip to the neck but instead, there was something else that greeted him. A warming sensation as well as some blinding light to the eyes.. the sun. His head turned away from it, one paw raised in order to block out the light but there was something else that caught his attention. The whimpering of some beast. Forcing his eyes open, the dhole glared into the light, his eyes landing upon the werewolf who was now quivering upon the ground as though scared. If he did have eyebrows, he would have furrowed them together. Too bad for him, he had not within this form and therefore, he decided in order to tilt his head in interest, just watching the other creature in a curious fashion. He had an idea of what was happening however there was still that mild curiosity that lingered within him. Perhaps that was due to the fact that with him being a dhole, he gathered up a lot of their personality traits. Luckily for him, he did have the ability to control his mind at times. Other times, he wasn’t so lucky and learned to adapt with the best of them.
And with good reason as well.
It was then that something rather horrifying happening right before his own eyes. For him, transformations were rather simple and pain free, depending on the form that he actually chose to go into. If he was a dhole, his transformations were effortless, as though he barely even tried. Other creatures, especially those who were not a part of the canine family, were a bit more troublesome. The process could be slow and cumbersome, causing some imperfections when it came to his transformations. It was something in which he understood completely. But as for this werewolf, the transformations seemed worse, if not on the painful side. Its cries were one way that he could tell that this wasn’t no pleasure cruise for this person. Yet, as gruesome as it was to watch, he couldn’t look away from this person. There was something about it, just watching another person transform in front of your very eyes. Yes, he was used to his transformations but seeing others, he had seen very few if not none. It was something in which he wanted to see, something in which he wanted to experience. So he sat there, just watching it as though it was some form of entertainment. The snout was disappearing, her paws were turning into hands and feet. It seemed to last forever but thankfully (at least for her) it seemed to have been done within the matter of minutes and the dhole was left with something else to view. A naked woman, lying right before his eyes.
For him, that was a sight to see. He allowed his eyes to look over body, taking in the woman’s rather delicate looking form, all scratched up and bruised during the process. It was only then in which he looked both ways, making sure that there was no one else around him. He didn’t need no prying eyes watching what he was going to do. With a deep inhale, as though to calm him the rapid breathing of his heart, the dhole stood up before allowing his own transformation to begin. As it usually was with this form, it was pretty effortless when it came to transforming and when he was finished, there stood a man in his place, tall, handsome and slender, just like the creature he was before. He continued to look at her, just standing there and staring her down before turning away and doing something else. Taking off his jacket, he held it within his hands, scanning it until his eyes landed upon something that caused a deep frown to form upon the man’s face. It was torn at the hem. Letting out a huff of air, he turned his attention to the naked body and glared at her. “Why you little bitch, you ripped my good jacket. No matter, I should find someone who can repair it but, as for you…” He took a step towards her before stopping and kneeling down before the crimpled form. “… I don’t think anyone can repair you. Now, let’s see who we have here.”
This was what he was waiting for.
Raising his hand, he moves it slowly towards the hair that was covering the woman’s face, only to stop when he was close to it. It was as though he was afraid that she would wake up at any moment. That was not something in which he needed at all. With another inhale, he finally gathered up the nerve and brushed back her hair, his eyes landing upon the rather attractive and elegant face of the woman laying in front of him. “Why hello Beautiful..” He didn’t know her name and therefore, beautiful was the only name in which he could call her at the moment. What else could there be? With the jacket still in his hand, he took it and placed it over the woman’s body, trying his best in order to cover her as much as possible. She deserved as much privacy as he did, even when it came to her transformations and apparent nakedness. “No need to catch a cold. And, I must congratulate you on a successful transformation. It looked a little bit painful – well, more than a little – however, you made it through and have potentially gained my respect. We shall see though. Depends on how you wake up..” If she was going to wake up. Moving his hand from her face down to her next, he pressed to fingers up against it, trying to find her pulse. “And you are still living. That is a plus..” But there was still going to be more that he had to deal with.
Just when the man was pulling his hands away from the woman, she began to stir, causing him to freeze almost instantly. His eyes widened as he watched her intently, still desiring that quiet conversation that he was having with a practically dead person. “Stay asleep. You wouldn’t want to frighten me off, would you?” Those words were a bit more forceful but yet the woman didn’t seem to listen. She continued to move, to wake up. A low growl rumbled from his throat before he decided to do what he should have done earlier: transform. With a roll of the eyes, the man’s form shifted once more to the dhole, his eyes just watching the woman, ears flattened against his skull in an irritated manner. The best thing in order to do at this moment was to get away from her before she actually snooped into his business. He wanted none of that nor did he want the woman to be left alone out there. It was a dog-eat-dog world out there, which was something in which he had recently figured out. Go figure..

The last thing she was able to see was the dhole who was sitting there, quietly, watching her as if he was truly interested in her transformation. There was something fishy about that, she should have known. Every other animal would have taken advantage of the moment and would have escaped into the safety of their home, but her mind was occupied with other things, trying to have the pain under control until everything went black. That was the way things went when she was allowed to go back into her human form. She got unconscious from the whole pain, she wasn't sure if others were like that as well. When she grew up, she lived in a pack, but in her adolescence she often enough strayed from them finding other things to do and therefore transforming all alone. Basically, that was okay because she didn't want anybody to see her when she was a human and became that beast and then the same procedure just backwards, that was something she didn't want anybody to see. Her body was laying there, vulnerable to anybody who would have passed her. That was the reason why she withdrew to the shack. There was hidden and nobody would see her and come of the stupid idea to do anything with her unconscious body.
However, little did she know what just happened. Her mind was completely blank, working quietly on the healing of her scars. The ground underneath her was moist and extremely cold, her body was absorbing the temperature. And there was another reason why the shack was good, it kept her somewhat warm as well. The only pleasant thing right now was that the fact that her senses were turning themselves down. Two days prior the full moon her senses got sharper and it was the most unpleasant thing, next to transforming. She could smell what people had eaten a day before. She'd prepare the drinks for her guests and would serve them and the stench of burned tobacco, alcohol and sweat would mingle together and find its way over to her nose. All of a sudden she had to listen to conversations which she didn't want to know. And she was even more aggressive than before, trying to breathe to ten was an almost impossible task. At least now she knew how a pregnant woman had to be feeling during her first months of pregnancy, just with the difference that she always felt this few days before the full moon. Was that normal? She wasn't sure and simply guessed that every werewolf was different just like human beings, maybe the symptoms were different. She could have answered that question if she actually would make an effort to get to know a werewolf, however, then the whole conversation of joining a pack and being degraded as a female and she really wasn't ready for that.
Slowly she came back to her senses, her ears the first thing that partially worked on her body. There was something muffled, a person was talking or not? Perhaps it was the wind or something, she didn't know. She was confused, her head felt like somebody hit her with a thick branch, but she did feel that there was something on her face and all of a sudden her face was getting cold. Maybe somebody found her and now, now? She was naked, all alone in a forest. Oh God, there wasn't much she could do while her body was busy with activating her bodily functions. One after the other, her senses came back, she was able to hear slightly clearer but she already knew from the pitch of the voice that it was a man who was talking to her, touching her. This was disgusting, what if he found her earlier when she was completely knocked out? He could have done whatever to her while she was unconscious. Damn it, why couldn't she move? He lifted her hand and did something, but her senses weren't sharp enough to determine what he did or where he touched her, just the rather firm movements got to her. Stupid dhole, because of it she was running through the woods. It should have hide just like the other animals did when she was around in these forests. Maybe it was new and still, his animal instinct should have told it to hide. Wasn't it awkward when you walked through a forest and all the other animals were absent? Apparently not.
The voice was getting clearer, however, slowly she regained the control over her limps. Yamila moaned from the throbbing in her head and shook her head, turning onto her back, she opened her eyes slightly. Her brown eyes looked at the sky. There was a voice, she could have bet a butt cheek of hers on that. Sitting up,she looked around, ignoring the canine who was now sitting next to her. “I could have sworn that....“ Scratching her head, she caught a leaf. An annoyed grunt came from her as she picked on some leafs in her hair. And then the black material of the jacket fell into her eyes. She wasn't crazy. Somebody was here and gave her his jacket. She knew that it was a male because the jacket was freakishly large for her frame. All of a sudden her concern of that man and where he was touching occupied her mind. Her hands went to her neck which caused to exhale since her skin very cold, however, she had to check if she was completely alright. Her hands wandered down to her chest, cupping her breast before she let her hands move further, disappearing between her legs. Shaking her head with a frown upon her face, Yamila managed to stand up. She was alright, at least nothing felt strange about herself. Cautiously she stood up, being slightly wobbly on her legs. Taking the jacket, she put it own, pulling the zipper up to the top. And then there was something that caught her attention.
Her eyes widened, wasn't that the dhole which she tried to eat? Oh God, eat. She whiped her hands across her face, knowing that there was blood around her mouth and on her hands. Still, her eyes returned to the canine. “Why are you still here?“ That interested her. The canine should have been running like his life depended on it but he was still there. “Are you not scared of me?“ She asked in a quiet voice as she tilt her head to the side. Knitting her eyebrows, she reached out slowly. “Do you mind if I touch you.....I am sorry that I bit you before, I really....don't have myself under control when I am....I am sorry, I shouldn't even bother you. Did you maybe see who was talking to me and gave me this jacket?..... Why am I even talking to you, you can't answer me anyway....I really should leave....“ She said and stopped to move her hand. Standing up again she smiled a the canine before moving further into the forest. She had to leave as fast as possible, get to the shack, clean herself up, put her clothes on and drive away. Well, fast wasn't truly the word to explain her pace since she walked from tree to tree, stopping few seconds to catch a breath. She didn't look back at the dhole, if he was able to escape her, then he was able to fight for himself. Slowly she was fighting her way back to the shack.

Well, this was getting far more interesting than what he could have imagined. When the woman was finally awake and checking herself over, making sure that there was nothing that had touched her, it has really caused the dhole to shake his head lightly and roll his eyes in annoyance. Was that really what people thought that men did upon their spare time, raping women and having their sexual way with them? That was something in which he wasn’t pleased to hear. I didn’t touch one inch of you if that is what you are thinking. Perhaps you should understand that most men honor and respect the privacy of women.. Those were the one words in wish he wished that he could have said out loud to her but alas, that was something that could not be done. He would have to actually wait until he was human to do such a thing. Letting out a snort of frustration, he turned his attention away from her for such a second, focusing his eyes on the cottage that he called home. How he missed it and was thankful that he was actually close by it. It meant that he would be able to sleep. Too bad for him, there would be someone else in which he would have to deal with. This woman could not be left alone at the moment, especially being on the clan land. He wouldn’t have been surprised if the vampires sent someone out to do their bidding, destroying those who just transformed.
That thought caused a shiver to roll down his spine. He needed to keep her safe.
Talking about her, what was she doing? With the sound of footsteps, he turned his attention to look at the woman, only to notice that she was up at the moment and walking around. Well, that was a plus. It was only then in which the woman turned to look at him, talking to him about the man who had been around. As thought he was confused, the dhole tilted his head towards the side, just staring at her with those eyes. It was best to pretend to act as though he was stupid than to answer her question. Then, there was something else that was happening, she was apologizing to him and holding her hand out towards him. It was easy to tell that the woman wanted to pet him. Without any second thought, his tail thumped against the ground, just like a docile dog excite to see his owner. As for his muzzle, he moved it closer towards her hand, his nose taking in the woman’s scent, trying his best to recognize her from someone that he knew. He didn’t know her nor did he recognize her scent, which made him even more curious about her. Just when his nose was just about ready to touch the woman’s hand, something happened, she soon pulled it away from him and allowed it to drop at her side, causing the beast’s tail to stop its wagging.
His eyes just watched her, curious as to what she was going to do when all of a sudden, she was turning and walking away from this. What the.. is that what he got for actually trying to help her out? Apparently so. An audible growl escaped his throat, hackles raised to bare his teeth at the woman. This was the thanks that he got from her? Oh no, that was not going to do at all. She would soon learn that maybe, just maybe, it was time in order to teach her a little about turning your back on what is assumed to be a wild animal. With the growling continuing, the beast stood up, lowering his head as he followed her at a steady pace, his eyes just watching her intently. Just when she might have thought that it could have been safe for her, he decided to react. The brute jumped at her, grabbing the back of jacket and holding on tight as he growled, shaking at it and attempting to pull the woman back towards the cottage without causing any harm towards her. That isn’t what he wanted to do at the moment. She was supposed to be unharmed by him. He continued to tug at the jacket, trying to get a reaction from the woman, trying to get her to have some sort of reaction with him. And it was only when he did get an reaction that he let her go and decided something else.
Something that would easily catch the woman off guard.
Heading back towards the cottage, his eyes concentrated on it for a second before stopping for a second. Was the woman actually going to follow him at the moment? He really didn’t know if she would or not. Stopping his in tracks, he turned his attention to look at the woman, just wondering what she thought about the whole ordeal. And just when she thought that everything was completely fine and dandy, the dhole did something that probably wasn’t expected from any canine. He allowed a short whistle to escape him, trying his best in order to capture the attention of the woman and at least, get her curious enough in order to follow him. His eyes watched her, his mouth opened as though smiling at the woman behind him. Now that was a moment in order to capture, especially with the look that was probably crossing the woman’s face right now. If only he had a camera. Turning his head and looking straight ahead of him, he continued to make his way towards the cottage, at a slow and steady manner, his head lowered towards the ground as he walked. His eyes were focused on nothing but his home, the one place he loved and hated at the same time. Ahh, his home..
When he reached the gate, he pushed it open with his body before making his way towards the front door. It was there in which he stopped and sat down, his head turning around and watching the woman to see if she was following. He allowed another whistle to escape him, hoping to capture her attention once more before he leaning in and pressed his muzzle up against the door, telling her to open it. That was the best way in order to tell the woman to do what he asked, by actions. Transform now and she would probably be so afraid of him that it wasn’t even funny. That wasn’t something in which he was looking forwards too at all. Come on, I am waiting for you to hurry up.. His mind spoke, eyes just watching the woman as he waited patiently for everything to occur. This was the time for something to be understood: he wasn’t a normal canine.

This canine was very....extraordinary. He wasn't scared of her at all and she just didn't get why? She did notice that he approached her hand with his nose, but she thought that it always was a bad idea to touch a wild animal and a dhole was a wild animal, so why was it wagging its tail when she almost touched him? It confused her, but maybe he wasn't all that wild, maybe he was tamed by somebody, maybe he even belonged to someone but the awkward point was reached when she was talking to it, as if it could answer her questions. Naturally, she wanted to go. Escape as fast as she could because, yes, she was aware of the fact that she was in danger, with all the vampires running around. Hence why she wanted to disappear as fast as possible. It took a lot of strength but she did stood up, decided to leave the canine by itself because it lived in the woods, it was used to this and would know how to survive. She apologized for attacking him, that was all he needed to know. So, she was planning to make her way from tree to tree just to reach the shack and finally escape from that forest and go back to her normal life. Or at least attempted normal life.
As a growl rang to her audible range, she turned, looking at that canine. What was that now about? Wasn't she allowed to go anymore or what? This was ridiculous and she shook her head, she had other problems right now. She had to get the hell out of the vampire district. And just as she thought that she was doing better, she wasn't dizzy anymore and was able to walk slightly faster. That was good, it meant that she could walk faster. Just another few seconds and she would be able to run. However, she still ignored the growl, that was most likely just some awkward animalistic reaction, or so, she thought. Little did she know that she would be proven wrong few seconds later. She shouldn't have turned her back on the dhole, really, she forgot that one easy rule, to not turn your back on your enemy, especially not when it was a wild creatur, living in a forest and her being only in her human form. She didn't know what happened but all of a sudden,s he felt as if she was losing her balance. Something was tugging her from the hem of the jacket which she was given by the mysterious stranger. Mila stumbled backwards, turning as she stared at the canine who seemed to want to show her something. Should she really trust that dhole, after all he didn't seem all that normal. She followed the caine, having no other choice since he was pulling on her jacket. “Come on, stop this, I have to get out of here, now!“ However, the dhole kept on pulling her until her had her attention, just then he let go of her, but she wasn't here to play, she wanted to escape so she turned again, thinking that the dhole's behaviour was unique and that was it.
It ran off to a building, but who was Mila to run after the dhole. At the end he would lead her to a vampire who would instantly try to kill her, she couldn't risk that. Just when she heard a whistle, the woman turned. Was there another human. Her eyes scanned the field. No, there was nothing or rather nobody, but a canine couldn't whistle, they just couldn't.And it started to run off. Why was it doing this? Why? From the images which she still had in her head, she was able to remember that he wanted to leap over the fence in order to get ….to that cottage. It was the only building there. She didn't know why, but this dhole wasn't normal. Most definitely not normal and since he was running to a cottage, she guessed that he belonged to someone, which would explain why he wasn't running from her. Standing between the trees, she watched him. There was something about it and she wanted to know what it was. For once she could be less sceptical, right? Reaching into the jacket, she felt keys which were attached to a key chain. Inhaling once, her palm closed around the keys, determining that one key should be used as a weapong, just in case, you know. Cautiously, she followed the dhole, making sure not to step on any twigs, what if that activated a trap. She should have been more adventurous, but right now the cautious and sceptical side were having the upperhand. God, she should really go home instead of staying in a cottage. It belonged to somebody, she could bet her left butt cheek on that and still something drew her to the dhole.
It was obvious that the canine knew this place. He opened the gate with a firmness which made her ask herself if this was really right. Wasn't that like breaking into a house? As she came closer, she noticed that the dhole was whistling again and it made her crazy because a canine couldn't whistle! He was irritating her, however, as she approached him, she used pushing its muzzle against the door. He wanted her to open it? But...but that wasn't her house. “Do you really want to go in there? Do you know who lives in there?“ She looked at the door, then at the canine and then back at the door. He wasn't normal, this was a bad omen. She would open the door for him and simply run for it, yeah, that was a plan. Then again, she had to give the jacket back and then again, she had to get her clothes out of the shack. With a heavy sigh Yamila opened the door, looking at the canine as if he was going to give her some orders.

Of all the things that he would have thought, getting a woman into the cottage was probably the hardest. Never did he imagine that someone would be so afraid of entering a building that she knew nothing about, even when it wasn’t her own. He would have imagined that a person would have felt far more welcomed than on any other day. Apparently he was wrong, for the woman did seem to be a bit nervous about the situation. What should the woman have been nervous about? There was nothing in there that was going to jump out at her and try to kill her but then again, this was a place in which she had never entered before within her life. What was the point of being afraid? It really was hard to tell. Sitting there patiently, he just watched her, waiting to see what the woman would actually do at the moment. She had a choice: follow him and be safe or turn around and be hunted like some sort of animal. Of course, the earlier option would have been a bit easier for her though, it was all up to her. She could run and not explore a place that she knew nothing about or she could have just dived right in. Whatever the woman decided, her fate would depend on it. It was time for her in order to take that chance and discover something new and different within the world that she lived in.
Something that the woman had never experienced before within her lifetime.
Luckily for him, the woman had decided to place her faith in a beast that she knew nothing about and yet, she trusted him. From what he could tell, the young woman wanted to see what he had to offer, even if it might not have been something as spectacular as some of the vampire houses he had seen. With the woman approaching him, his tail beat upon the ground again, his mouth opening as though he was smiling up at the woman with a big goofy grin. Hell, he was smiling up at her, as much as she didn’t know anything about it. It was only when the question was posed on whether or not he knew who lived there, he decided in order to break his vow of animalism and at least answer the woman’s question. Without warning, he nodded his head in a yes, letting the woman know that he did indeed know the person who lived in this cottage. It was something in which he would have known, since it was his own. As though to tell her more, he moved his muzzle towards the jacket and touched it lightly, as though telling her that the person who owned this jacket lives it. That was all that he could tell her. With the door finally opened, he looking inside, his eyes looking at the familiar area in which he called home and yet, the woman just stood there, staring at it as though she really didn’t know what to do. That was odd.
With the woman standing at the door, not entering the door, he decided that at the moment, it was time in order to take actions into his own hands and make sure the woman followed his lead. With a huff, he reached out and grabbed the woman by the jacket, leading her inside of the place that he called home. Yet, he wasn’t through with her yet. The dhole dragged her into a different room, some sort of bedroom which seemed as though it was lived in. There was clothing upon the floor as well as a journal which was rested neatly on the table. It was when they were in the room that he let go of the jacket, sitting down behind her and nudging her leg, as though trying to get her into bed. The best thing in which he could have done was to make sure that she actually lay down and relaxed before something else happened to her. At least she would have been a bit more comfortable. When he thought that she understood what he was saying to her, he stood up and left the room, allowing himself to look for one more clue in which he could give her. The woman wanted to know who he was? Well, he would have to find something that might get her to see. While he was searching the area, his eyes landed upon something that would perhaps help her out.
You are a brilliant man, Edwin. A very brilliant man..
Grabbing the picture frame, he took it gently within his mouth and held onto it, making sure he got a good grip before carrying it over towards the bedroom. Along the way, his mind was complimenting him upon his brilliance, telling him how clever he was. That was the thing in which he wanted to hear, how smart he was. It might not have been something most would have done – complimenting themselves- and yet, he found reason to do it often. At least, when he thought that he was doing a good job. When he finally reached his bedroom, the dhole moved over towards his bed, placing his picture frame upon the mattress. It was then in which he turned his attention to look directly at the face of the woman in his room. As though to get his attention, he moved behind her and nudged the back of her leg, trying to convince her to move closer towards the bed and look at what was laid upon there. If this was the only way of communicating with her at the moment then so be it, he would communicate with her in the silent matter, using signs and pictures that were familiar to him. Hopefully, it was something in which the woman would understand and begin to piece together inch by inch. He wanted to tell her something.. wanted to tell her about himself.
As for what was in the photo, there was a picture of a man, a figure who looked rather tall to begin with. He was slender and yet, held himself with this minor elegance that only few seemed to have carried. His hair was dark as well as his eyes. As for his face, he was handsome.. gorgeous if one could say such a thing about it. He had this smile, one which seemed to have hidden something, one that was holding onto a secret. It look worn.. broken to say the least. This man.. it was him.

She had two choices. Either she could follow the canine who was leading her to a cottage or she could still try to run back to the shack. A questioning expression appeared on her face, as she turned and looked into the forest. This was vampire district and what if they send somebody to hunt werewolves down. Those were her two options and she was keen on staying alive, even if that meant that she would have to follow a dhole who was supposed to be her breakfast. It was definitely very lucky, because Mila didn't want to imagine how her wolf form would feast on the smaller dhole. In her human form she felt very guilty for such things but as wolf she had to make sure that she gets food and she got food. A rabbit. That was like an appetizer consisting of some pieces of bread and a salat. It wasn't much but at least she got something. If she actually had her inner wolf under control, she would have trained to become better, but that was almost fully impossible. She didn't know oe werewolf who had himself under control while in wolf form and the fact that she wasn't able to get much food might also be explained by the absence of other wolves. She went there were the werewolves normally didn't hunt and now she knew why. The lack of food was what drove them away from this forest and she knew that she couldn't make all by herself, even though she wouldn't want to admit such a thing.
Approaching the dhole her eyes moved to his tail which was wagging and he was having a goofy expression on his fox-like face. Blinking slowly, she really wanted to figure out what the problem was with this dhole. He had way to many human features to it. It looked like he was trying to smile and since she herself was partially a canine when transformed she definitely knew that she couldn't smile nor whistle. And then everything got creepier when he answered her question with the nod of his head. He was able to understand her? What the hell? This was a joke, right? Maybe she was lucky and he just nodded to something else, like dogs sometimes did. Then he moved and went to the jacket which she had on. His muzzle moved again the jacket and she frowned, trying to figure out what he was trying to tell her. Her second question was who lived in that house. Her eyes widened. Did he really understand her and did he again answered her question? This was all very strange and if it wasn't for the fact that she might die if she walked back now, she would have been on her way to the shack. As the door was opened she watched the canine enter it and looking at her as if he was expecing her to somehow move into the cottage, however, she was being cautious, scared that she was stepping into a trap.
Her mind was still argueing about the possible endings of this and her legs refused to enter a house that she didn't know. It looked like the dhole was having other plance and took the initiative, by dragging her into the building. With a quick move she closed the door before she was standing in the hallway, looking about the place until she felt something dragging her again, this time, though, she followed him, wanting to know what he wanted to show her now. He brought her into a room which had strong resemblance to a bedroom and somebody clearly lived here. Various items of clothes were scattered over the floor and there was a journal on the table. Maybe she should....no, she shouldn't this wasn't her room! The dhole let go of her, so that meant he was satisfied with her position. While he was sitting behind her the woman looked about the room, trying to determine the character of the person or rather man who was living her. He nudged her leg then, making her wonder what it wanted from her. Her eyes fell on the bed and she immediately shook her head. “No! What if your owner comes back home? He wouldn't want to see a naked woman with blood on her hands in his bed!“ She insisted. This was just beyond awkward. Coming into a house in which she didn't live was one thing but sleeping in another person's bed especially a person whom she didn't know. The dhole left her all alone though, making her wonder what just happened and what might happen. Crossing her arms, she moved to the edge of the bed, taking a seat there and simply waiting for the canine to come back. Still she wanted to know what was up with him. He had way too many human features and it disturbed her. It should been said that the woman didn't really know much about shape shifters since they often enough kept to themselves and uptil now she only acquainted werewolves and vampires, or at least she thought that those were werewolves.
As she heard the klaws scratching over the floor, Yamila stood up again, who knows if he brought his owner with him. She prepared herself to hold a speech but it was the dhole with something in his mouth. It looked like a frame and because of the reflection of the light, she couldn't see who this person on the picure was. He was placing it on the mattress as if he wanted her to look at it, the nudge against her legs made that want even clearer. Moving closer to the bed, she took the frame into her hands, tilting her head to the side as she looked at the man. Was that the man who lived here and gave her the jacket? “Is that your owner?“ She asked the dhole, sitting on the edge of the bed, observing the picture. The man in the picture was definitely very handsome and tall. Something was odd, though. His whole appearence oozed mystery and his smile didn't do anything to deny her thoughts. “Is your owner sad about something?“ She asked curiously, standing up and placing the frame on the table. “Do you think he will be mad if I took a shower and borrow some clothes from him? I will wash them and give them back I promise!“ She said, wondering why she was still talking to a canine.
“Are you a part of his secret?“ She asked straight-forward, something was wrong with this whole situation and she slowly had to figure out what was up with this dhole.

It was strange, trying to communicate with a person who didn’t seem to have understood you. Maybe he should have known better and understood that because of the situation that he was thrown into, it made it hard in order to communicate with the woman who had followed him, the one that he found to be beautiful and yet, the man just had to deal with it. It was something which would have helped him out in the beginning but with him being a dhole, it would only be harder to try and explain it to the woman. Maybe she would understand? That was something that he was hoping for, as much as he knew that it might not be happening so far. With a deep inhale, he just waited for the woman to say something about the picture that he had brought her, something about that little treasure that he had decided to grant her with. If she wanted to see him, the true man who owned this building, then she would have to look at the picture and familiarize herself with it. The man wasn’t going to appear until he was ready with her, until he believed that the woman was ready to see him. It was only until them in which she would see nothing but the dhole, the exotic creature that he became whenever he desired. He would only hope that he wouldn’t have to put up with his disguise for long, especially with the fact that it could get rather boring after a while.
And he wanted nothing to do with boring.
When the woman began to look at the picture, he sat before here, as proud as could be, his eyes looking at her, trying his best in order to figure out what the woman might be thinking about in his head. Did she think he was handsome or was there something else that the man knew nothing about? At the moment, it was very hard for him to tell. He just watched her, continuing to wonder when all of a sudden, she decided to speak though not the words that he would have imagined. Really? Was that something in which the woman wanted to know. Sorry to say but that handsome man is me, not my owner. I don’t have an owner.. unless you count the women.. His mind trailed off and before he knew what he was doing, he nodded his head in agreement to the woman, allowing her to know that he was indeed his owner, as much as it actually was himself. Deep inside though, he was screaming, trying to escape the body that had imprisoned him for the time being. He wanted to be next to the woman, wanted to know her weaknesses and strengths. Wanted to know so much more about her and yet, he was limited due to his form. All that the man could do was wait and hope that she would be kind enough in order to ask him something else, something which would give her the hint. He wasn’t an animal – he was a human being.
But yet, there was more curiosity of the woman in which he had to answer. Clothes.. she wanted to know if she could wear his clothes. That was something which would have caused the man to become rather giddy about those words but, as for the dhole, he remained there as plain as could be, not speaking a single word. Instead of doing so, he turned his head to look at the dressers within the room, letting her know that it was where the clothes would have lingered. He would mind if she wore them – her scent might linger there – it would provide him with something that he could have remembered her by, if the woman was never to be seen by him again. He hoped that it wouldn’t have been like that, especially whenever it came to the fact that he wanted to see her again, wanted to get to know more about her. Maybe, just maybe, he would let her see her as a human, just once if only for a little bit. Pulling his attention away from the dresser and looked at the woman once more, figure out what else could have been done. There was just one more comment, one comment in which he wasn’t expecting at all from the woman. What was she talking about? Secret? What secret was this? That was something which caused him to tilt his head to the side, showing her that he was more confused than anything else. What was he supposed to say to that? There was no secret within this house, except for the fact that the dhole that was standing before her was not an animal at all.
There was so much more to him than what actually met the eye.
Opening his mouth and letting a yawn escape him, his teeth glittering with the light, the beast jumped up upon the best, scraping against the blankets as though to make a nice comfortable nest for himself. It was only then in which he laid down, resting his head up against the woman’s knee. His nose took in her scent, her intoxicating scent which nearly made his whole body squirm with excitement. He wished that he could have transformed, wished that she would be able to see him the way he was supposed to be and yet, she seemed frightened by men, especially whenever it came to the jacket. When she figured it was a man, there was some sort of fear that she had in which he couldn’t explain. It was as though he had touched her, had taken her soul away from her and made sure that her body did not belong to her. What a mistake that was! The man didn’t want her to think about that and yet, he was certain that it would have been best just to stay like this. Maybe, just maybe, when she was more comfortable around, he would transform into a human, just to watch her sleep. It might not have been something that most wanted but he couldn’t help himself. That little bit of happiness was enough in order to make him smile.
So there he laid, as close to the woman as possible, not wanting to be removed from her at all. He wanted to be as close to her as possible, knowing that it was the only thing he could so at the moment. Her warmth was intoxicating as well as the woman’s form and beauty. This was all he wanted at the moment, all he needed. This love that he was feeling, this emotion, he admired it more than anything else and was thankful for it. My dog, he was thankful for all of it.

Of course her mind wandered over the fact that he man was very handsome. Almost gorgeous and that was an odd thought considering that it was a man whom she was observing. Shaking her head, she placed the picture on the table next to the journal, catching a glimpse of the words which were written on the paper. However, scared that the dhole would be able to snitch on her, she turned fast enough, sitting on the bed again, asking the dhole her question if that was his owner. He nodded. By now she knew that he understood every word of what she was saying. She didn't know why, although it should have crossed her as awkward that a dog like species was able to understand her, but perhaps she was like Harry Potter and was able to talk anything which had its roots in the wolf ancestry. Lucky for Edwin, Mila didn't know about shape shifters. She grew up within a pack were everyone was a werewolf. She knew about vampire because they were their enemies and she knew about humans because that was their form and they were trying to assimilate with them. But shape shifters were not her turf. “Well, I hope he is nice to you. Do you have to put up with his tendency of getting girls?“ She simply guessed. He was very handsome, so what woman wouldn't try her luck with him, except herself because pretty boys weren't her thing. They always had some kind of trouble with their package and there was something mysterious about him, something she couldn't pinpoint and she truly hated surprises with a passion.
Asking him about clothes his head turned, looking at the closet. So, she took that as a yes. She wouldn't be needing much. Since he was tall, she doubted that she could wear his pants so she would simply do it with a shir tor a beater, she would see what she could find. She smiled at the canine. He was very nice to her, after all he could have run away and just left her in that state but he took it upon him to take care of her. Maybe his owner ordered it after giving her the jacket, which made her wonder were his owner was. And still, she had one question on her mind. She should have known that the dhole wouldn't be able to explain himself but maybe, just maybe she could read something out of his expression which she was pretty much acquainted to, considering that she herself was a wolf once a month. He had his head tilted to the side, a sign that he was confused but she didn't blame him. Shaking her head, she smiled at him, petting his head. She felt freer to do so now since he was a very nice canine although he was indeed exotic. At least she had a good taste in food and went after something exotic. Really, she had to stop thinking about food in relations to her new little friend. She already knew what she had to do just in case she got too hungry or was attacked. Get herself all pretty and dressed up and find the pack leader to ask him to accept her as a member. Every pack had their own rules, who knew, maybe his weren't all that bad.
Hearing a strange noise, she looked up, smiling. He was yawning and it was most probably the most adorable thing she had ever seen. Gently she petted his head as he rested it against her knee. “You are a cutie. Well, then tell me, does your owner have a girlfriend who might pop up at any second?“ She just wanted to know so she could come up with a story for that unknown girlfriend. At the end she would accidentally destroy a relationship and she really didn't want to be the reason for such an event. Looking at her hands and at her legs, though, there was another question, invading her mind. “Do you think your owner would have anything against me taking a shower here?“ She asked. It looked like he wanted her to stay for the night. Maybe she'd be lucky and could properly introduce herself to his owner, so he wouldn't think that she was some kind of weird person who was running around naked in the woods. She was just a person who was having a bad time. Right, this was a bet, she was drunk. She would try to tell him something like that, it sounded somewhat believable. Carefully, she used all her strength to lift the dhole, looking at his face. “Thank you for saving my life, little fella. I will never forget that. But, next time when we see each other, please just hide, okay?“ She said, trying to give the dhole a good advice. When she was hungry and in her wolf faorm she was pretty reckless and was ready to destroy anything in her way.
Letting her hand brush over his fur, she smiled satisfiedly before lifting her friend again. “Hmm....I am sure you are dirty from the whole running around, huh? You want to shower with me? In that case I won't get in trouble.“ She said, laughing lightheartedly as she stood up again. Her hand wandering to the zipper of her jacket and simply pulling it down. Shrugging it off she revealed her naked form again, not even thinking that there might be a man underneath the animal's appearance. Smiling she was looking at the dhole. “If you join me I could wash you, scrub you behind your ear and your belly... She was trying to convince him, so she could blame the running water on him. She'd tell his owner that he was so dirty that she wanted to shower him and wouldn't mention that she showered herself. That was the way she was, always trying to save her own ass. Turning around, she smiled at the dhole. “So are you coming?“

He didn’t know why the woman just kept on talking to him, especially with the form he was in right now. Yes, he couldn’t talk back and yet, if he was a human right now, he probably would have shaken his head and began to laugh. What people actually did talk to animals, hmm? Apparently, there were a lot for animals seemed to have provided some sort of comfort for everyone. There were times in which someone needed help and the only thing that would be more than willing to help them was the beasts in which they had decided to trust. Of course, when that beast ended up being a human that was a completely different story; trust was something that was needed. As much as he wanted to show the woman who he was, he couldn’t at the moment. There was just something that told him that she was not the biggest fan of men. As a matter of fact, she looked like the type who would have killed any man who dared to watch her (it always seemed to have been the innocent ones, didn’t it?). Well, he would just have to wait it out at the moment and see what would potentially happen.
Hopefully nothing too brutual.
With her hand raised towards his head, petting it, his eyes closed contently, allowing the woman to do so. He could feel his skin crawl, his skin crawling at the touch of this woman and yet, he couldn’t do such a thing. He was still gathering the woman’s trust and therefore, it was best not to do such a thing. So there he was, as content as could be, his eyes closed as he waited for some sort of command from the woman. All that he needed was a couple of words and he would do what she asked of him. Not only that, but he would also make sure that she was in good hands. He would not allow anything to happen to her – never would he allow it. He was her guardian now, the one figure who would be more than willing in order to make sure that the woman would be alright. Everything that was to be done would be done and if he needed to protect her to the point that he was considered as insane then so be it. If that was what people thought about him then perhaps they should have watched him to see what he was all about. The man has his way of protecting others and at the moment, she needed some sort of protection, even if she didn’t know it yet.
He was relaxed, completely relaxed upon her lap. Every time her inhaled, he took in the woman’s alluring scent. Edwin wished that he could have controlled it and yet, it seemed almost pointless at the moment. He needed this, needed to remain calm and not worry about a thing. There were too many thoughts that were lingering within his mind, too many that were threatening in order to pull him down. The man didn’t need that – he didn’t need any of it at the moment. Letting out a huff of air, he nuzzled his head into the woman’s leg, not being able to help himself at all. For once, the man seemed so relaxed and therefore, he needed this at the moment. He needed this comfort. He was just about to settle down when suddenly, the woman said something in which he wasn’t expecting. His eyes quickly opened as he tilted his head upwards to look at her. Wait a second.. she wanted him to shower with her. That was just asking for trouble. Gulping as thought nervous with that whole situation, he sat up and watched the woman stand up, keeping an eye on her as she began to walk away.
This couldn’t be true, could it?
It was hard to tell, which was the reason why he watched her. His head was pounding against his chest and he took in deep breaths, trying his best in order to calm the rapid beating of his small heart. No, this couldn’t have been happening at the moment. He needed to be a good man and yet, this woman was making it hard for him. His mind began to think, trying to figure out what he could do when suddenly, he was caught off guard by the woman’s words. Was she really being serious? Did she think that he really was some sort of tamed beast? Luckily for him, he caught a glimpse of her naked body once more, allowing his eyes to look her over. Licking his lips with his tongue, his tail wagged happily as he watched her walk away, only to be called. Attention on her, he sat there for only a few second more before deciding to that it was best in order to follow her. After all, she did decide to call for him. Jumping off the bed, he followed her, sticking close towards the woman’s legs. She wasn’t going to be happy when she found out about him being a human. Nope, she would not be happy at all.
