~ Editorial Board

Q: How do I apply for a position at the Daily Prophet?
Go to the Employment Desk located in the Attrium and look and see which positions are avaliable. Next fill out an application and an Editorial Board member will get back to you.


Q: Ive just been hired, now what?
Well there are several steps to take next. Dont worry, it is painless.

1) You will need to read the handbook. (Not out yet, just refer to the Q & A section at this time.)
2) You need to upload an Avatar and your Character Signature for idenification purposes. To check for a list of avaliable characters, please click here or visit the Character Mirror loacted at the Information Desk.
3) Next locate your office under your department. It should already be set up, if not, it will be soon. You may place a picture here of how your office looks and any greetings for visitors.


Q: When are the articles due?
The Editorial Board has recently changed the due date for all articles and photographs to the 20th of every month. This will give the Editor enough time to get the issue in order.


Q: When the the issue post?
The issue posts on the 1st of every month.


Q: Do you have to be an adult to work at the Daily Prophet?
Yes, you may use your adult character from another site or create a new one. Students are not allowed to work at the DP at this time!

I have a very small question... how come we can't like edit our own posts? I was trying to edit some stuff on my profile, but the little edit button doesn't show up and guessing that means we can't like edit them, or any other post it dosen't allow us.

OOPPs sorry I just noticed this one. I'm a wee bit late then. I'll have it in asap.

I do not have that problem...I have the edit button and can edit my own post just fine.

I do however get a lot of error messages but as it will eventually stop if I try again a couple times I think that is just a glitch.

That is a great question! At this time you must be an adult character to work at the prophet! You are welcome to create one on this site, but you ar not alowed to use student characters here!

I was wondering how can I change my personal photo. When I try to an error message says the administrator board has not give me permission.

I believe a setting in the admin control pannel makes it so that anyone under the age of 18 by the birthday they registered is not allowed to dispplay a personal picture. I believe even if you change your birthday year to make you 18 it will not register it, and still deny you the permission. This safety measure is made, so people's site protects the younger members on the board. If you really want to make it so you can put a personal photo in your profile, i would say the best thing to do is contact Paris, and she can change the option in the admin control pannel, so that you are eligable for a personal photo. I do not think a personal picture is really needed in your profile though. How many times do people actually look at the profile? I believe not too many. If you want to display your picture for other people to see there is an introduce yourself topic in the new out of character section on the board.

Okay but how do I get a signature.

I do not know what you mean by "get a signature". If you want one made for you by an artist there is a signature request topic located Here http://z7.invisionfree.com/thedailyprophet...view=getnewpost. You may also receive a signature from someone not on the site, or you may simply make one yourself. If you mean how to upload your signature. You need to use a hoster such as Photobucket[/URL], ImageshackTinypic or another image hoster. Once you get the

code you go to my control located to the top right of the screen. Once you go there you will scroll down and on the left in a sidebar you will see edit signature. You click that. You will be brought to a page, with an empty box in it. You copy the code, for your signature the

code, and click update and your signature is done.

once I make a signature how do I get the image onto my signature
