I do wonder what MWPP and OTP mean. I've tried to find out by myself, but haven't had any luck yet. Anyone?

I've been thinking about that as well 'cause I myself don't have a clue. I don't know what GIP means either and I've seen it around on LJ quite a lot. *ponders*

OTP = One True Pairing, like, your all-time favourite pairing.

I have no idea about the other ones, sorry.

And doesn't MWPP mean Moony Wormtail Prongs&Padfoot? :P

GIP:

"Gratuitous icon post" or "gratuitous image post" -- used in blogs or messageboards to show off new icons or avatars.

Taken from here

Thank you very much!

Hahah I should've been able to figure MWPP out by myself... since it's only mentioned with HPfics... but sometimes the most obvious is the last thing I think about heheh.

Nothing to do with fiction, and I feel abnormally stupid for asking this since it seems to be common knowledge.

*G*?

Oh yes, I don't know that one either.

Giggles is probably it, although I used to think it was something like 'Gee!' :D

It's not an abbrevation, but I've seen worksafe quite some places and I can't really figure it out. Does anyone know what it means?

Some people view stuff online at work - so "worksafe" means that there are no hardcore porn images in that link that will get someone in trouble. Something like a picture of two naked men having sex is NOT worksafe.

Worksafe=safe to view while at work.

Hope that helps.

I'm resurrecting this thread because I just found it and it certainly did clarify some things that I hadn't figured out and were too embarrassed to ask!

But I always thought *g* means grinning. I may even have typed *g* to indicate that I'm grinning at something. I suppose it's not that far from giggling but it changes the meaning slightly, from ironic to amused.
