Favourite Slash Pairings, Who's doing who? Hot, hotter, hottest...

What’s your favorite slash pairing and why?

Mine’s pretty easy: It has to have Orlando, anything else is a bonus! :wub:

I think to me it doesn’t have much to do with whether I like the person in RL, it’s a matter of the characteristics writers give their characters and they are often similar – so I can half guess what type of story/relationship it will be, based on the pairing.

I read a lot of Viggo but that’s because there’s a lot out there (lots of good stuff too – and actually I like LOTR Orli/Viggo stories) but it’s not really my favorite pairing. I like when paired with Jake or Colin (prefer Colin as I find him sexy though I don’t know much about him in RL). These stories tend to have a ‘younger’ feel to them. Oh, and with Colin the guys tend to be kept ‘masculine’ and a bit edgy (or at least Colin is). To me, pairing with Eric Bana often has a ‘safe/cuddly feel’ while with Sean there is often something ‘Grown-up/Young person over it!

Hmmm I don’t actually have a favorite pairing. I want a favorite.

Oh and I don’t read much FPS so the only pairing I really know is Aragorn/Legolas (which I like – for obvious reasons!) :toot:

I love reading Aragorn/Legolas, even though I find they make Legolas way too girly. He is a trained archer afterall, so I think he would be more masculine and aggressive even if he is an Elf.

I guess I read VigOrli and VigBeanOrli and the odd VigBean (which reminds me of something to post in the other thread). I like the size!kink that you get with a good BanaBloom too. But I'm not that fond of the hobbit guys or Jake etc. I can just about take a good Colin if it's well writen though. And then of course there's Jack/Will or Sparrington which is always worth a read. Oh and Faramir/Boromir, or David/Sean.
On the F1 side I like the Pretty Italians and the Jailbait lol
In tennis slash (not that I read very much of it) I can read most people including Rafa and Andy, but I just find Roger Federer totally un-slashable. *shrug*

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of hobbit slash either - except Billy's Best, and I can read some with Elijah because often they will have Orli top :lol: (apparently in that relationship he is seen as the masculine one!). Also, often they have the theme of discovering their sexuality and it's all sweet and uncertain, which I like.

I don't really have an OTP but I like Johnny/Orlando. Mmm-hm. No questions asked. In these stories Johnny is often the seducer while Orlando struggles to maintain his heterosexual identity... but naturally he won't be able to resist Johnny's charm.

But just for a change it would be fun to read a fic where Orli seduces completely helpless Johnny... but then... I'm not sure if that would work... even for me. Because Johnny doesn't come off as helpless.

Other pairings I like... well, good old Sparrington. I was reading one where Jack was an angel and he was supposed to look after Norrington, and they ended up having hot angel!sex! That was a blast! But then the story muddled up somehow. It's not that they were overly lovey-dovey, but there was a sudden surge or new characters and sub-plots, some of the characters got a little forgotten along the way and I just sort of stopped reading. I can't be asked to get interested in 20 new characters just when there was a chance to bring the story to a stylish ending!

Anything else... well, Legolas/Aragorn, Viggorli, Harry/Draco, Harry/Cedric, Harry/Snape... oh yeah. But Harry/Ron is a no-no. Doesn't work for me at all.

I have a craving at the moment for good Original Character fics. Ones that are real life people not that Japanese stuff. It's so hard to find though. I only know one LJ comm and the updates aren't very regular and there's the Japanese stuff there too. (what's that called? manga? yaoi? I don't know. I've never read it and I don't think I'd like it)

You know, I'm really not into any of my normal pairings atm. No one seems slashable currently and without a bit of a vibe I lose interest. Everyone seems completely straight in their press/interviews/appearances/shows/moves etc. Maybe that's why I'm craving OC's.

Well, then... keep a weather eye open for <lj user="lennon_1984">'s updates, then! :D He's an OC, so is everyone he knows (except Cessie, who is, in fact, a real person)... and there'll be gay sex. After he discovers he's bi, that is. :lol:

I'll get to work quite soon now, I promise.



ETA: I'm more interested in original fiction, too. It doesn't even have to be slash or sex-related, but I like writing it. I still read fanfics and slash occasionally, but if I was to write real person slash, it would be a satire. And I'm definitely going to do the one where Orlando can't find the front door! :lol:

Anything slash or femmeslash, I am shockingly indiscriminate really. Orlando/OMC, viggo, and Johnny, were favourites. I'm sure they still are I just haven't read anything recently. Viggo/Dom... Harry/Draco, Harry/Severus, Remus/Sirius, and Severus/Remus IF Sirius is dead, and it's a big if because if he is not, no way, Remus belongs with Sirius! heh. Regulus/Severus! Meh, I'll probably read anything HP. I once read a Once Upon a Time in Mexico fic that paired El/Sand, which is such a stunningly beautiful image but I could never find any other fics.

To write: Johnny/Orlando, Heath/Orlando

To read: Johnny/Orlando, Viggo/Orlando, Draco/Harry, Sean/Viggo.

And ever since I saw Kingdom of Heaven I've been wanting to write and/or read Orlando/Edward Norton. In my head it's beautiful <3

Which character is Edward Norton? Write one, write one, write one :woot: I just went to see pirates again and am very in the mood for Orlando/Johnny right now...

Well honestly I don't remember. All I know is that he died and that he had a scene with Orlando (that Orlando had a scene with him) and I know Orlando admires him so I was imagining how he would have felt while doing that scene, which of course led to all sorts of slashy scenarios. :D I have a thing for hero complex!Orlando, apparently.

Still haven't seen Pirates 3. But now I'm curious about that teaser. Eep! Johnny/Orlando is one of those loves that never die. <3

ohhhh, okay, I just imdb-ed him and twigged. He is the king with leprosy and hidden behind a mask for the whole movie. But aww, and yay for slashy scenarios!

I didn't like the teaser because at the end of the movie it seems set up for certainly being sequels but after the teaser less certain, though I think it made far too much money for them to not be incredibly likely to make more pirate movies, heh. AND... wah, you haven't seen it yet? It's soooooo much better than the second, I'm sure everyone has already said. :D

:lol: Yeah I have to admit leprosy doesn't sound very sexy indeed, but still, the real life!Edward is nice enough :D

And actually I've heard from everybody that the third movie was the worst of all. :unsure: There's only one way to find out though..!
