What's a CARA?
Choose A Random Adventure, or CARA for short, is a combination of a fanfiction and a CYOA. The difference is that Gooper Blooper/Kracko doesn't decide the outcome of this tale, and you guys don't quite have control either. Here's how it works. GB/Kracko will post a portion of the CARA saga. At the end of an update post, you'll see a question and a roulette filled with possible answers, like so:

0: Stay home
1: Go with Mario
2: Stay home
3: Go with Mario
4: Go with Mario
5: Throw a hamburger at Goombella
6: Stay home
7: Go with Mario
8: MANGO!!!*
9: Stay home

The last digit of a user's post time determines the outcome. So if the last two digits of, say, Blitzit's post read 42, than Luigi would stay home. See? Easy.

* MANGO!!! will be explained later.

A Brief History of the CARA
The CARA began life December 9, 2004. This original story followed the events of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, but with a twist of randomness. It was held at the Paper Mario: TTYD board here at GameFAQs. CARA 1 was a huge sucess, so Gooper Blooper/Kracko followed it up with CARA 2, which was based on Paper Mario, the N64 game. This sequel took the characters from CARA 1 and threw them into Paper Mario's world. After this, he took a break from writing and instead held Save My CARA Character and the CARA CART, which was a character battle that determined winners by using the roulette system. However, halfway through the CARA CART, Hurricane Wally struck the board, and all the CYOAs and similar topics were deleted by the moderator Wally, or "wally" to be exact. Dang caps-ignorin' kids.

Anyway, after that he moved operations to the Good and Bad RP ProBoards site, where I finished the CARA CART and also completed the third CARA, which wasn't based on any particular game. Along the way, two popularit contests were held, Best CARA Character Ever 1 & 2. Sponia won the first contest by beating Cleftor, and Sly Guy stole Sponia's title by a single vote in the second contest. Now, the CARA is coming here because of ProBoards' astoundingly stupid choice of removing the seconds from their posts.

What's MANGO!!! all about?
You can thank another frined of mine, Ake, for the MANGO!!! thing. It's a recurring gag when Mario yells "MANGO!!!" and hundreds of mangoes rain down from the sky, provided by the god of mangoes, Mangon. Ake has a love of round things, you see, so when she wouldn't stop mentioning mangoes in every post, I went along with it and started including "MANGO!!!" as an option in the roulettes. If you get "MANGO!!!", there is cause for celebration.
