History;;
    Jung Hee's childhood was pretty much boring. The only significant peice of information that you would need to know was that the only reason for his parents' rather large gap in age would be the product of an arranged marriage. But the two fell in love either way, so that was just fine. It's always good when things work out like that. But yeah. Like I said, nothing happened during Jung Hee's childhood, so, I'm just going to skip it. It's boring. Why make you read about it? So, let's just mosey on over to his teen years, when hormones take flight and you discover more things about yourself than you really think possible.

    Love can bloom in the unlikeliest of places. Even when two families are forced to share a booth at a local restaurant. Though, it wasn't one of those expensive sit-down restaurants. Nope. Actually, it was a little Korean version of Taco Bell. You know, like McDonald's over there, only, not. Same concept, though. Jung Hee was with his mother, having just gone shopping for the other two members of the family, his father and sister, considering that they shared the same birthday, and they had stopped in to eat something before continuing on their quest to find the perfect gift. And so, the two ordered their food, it was paid for, and they were easily able to sit down, taking the last little booth as their own. Jung Hee had no clue why he did what he did next. It just happened;

    When another family came into the restaurant and got their food, the same process that Jung Hee and his own mother experienced just moments before, they found that the family was faced with a slight problem; there were no tables left. Though, as the family was about to just walk out the door with their food, in order to most likely sit in their car and eat it, the thirteen-year-old Jung Hee reached out and grabbed the hand of the young woman that was victim of nowhere to sit. He invited the two to join him and his mother. After all, they were sitting in a booth, and they could easily fit two more people in there with them. No problem. Of course, the young woman blushed and declined several times, but Jung Hee insisted and even stood up in order to scoot over next to his mother in order for the young woman and her own mother to sit across the table from them. And so, finally, the four ended up eating together.

    Conversations over yellow, orange, and red sauce packets, and those recycled napkins led to much more than just an aquaintance-ship. Instead, the two mothers ended up becoming friends in the short span that the four were eating. And it would have ended there, if Jung Hee's mother hadn't have mentioned the fact that the two of them were out shopping for Jung Hee's sister and father. And so, to make a long story short, Soon Lin, as Jung Hee learned her name to be, and her own mother joined them in a journey to the mall, which lasted hours.

    They exchanged numbers and stayed in touch.

    Sadly, they found that they weren't attending the same school, but they were still able to spend time with each other not only when their mothers got together for outings, but also on weekends and whenever school was out. They would sometimes hang out at the mall, or even wander the streets, just looking for something to do. Other times, they would just sit around in each other's rooms, listening to music. Jung Hee would show Lin a few things about boxing. And Lin would show Jung Hee a few things about the piano. They each had their own interests, and that was what really brought the two together. Everytime that they saw each other, they would learn something new, and yet, there would still be questions unanswered about the other that would make the next visit even more anticipated. Yet, as the number of visits multiplied over the few months, so did to growing attraction that Jung Hee had towards Lin. Until finally, he asked her out on a proper date.

    So, that following Friday night, they went to the movies. And to tell the truth, it was a complete disaster. Yet, Lin didn't really think too much of it. After all, she knew the real Jung Hoo. Not this one that was trying to impress her, they like had just met or something. Nope. In her mind, she was able to tell that he was the one that made he r happy and that he was the only one that she had eyes for at that moment. And it was the same for Jung Hee.

    Jung Hee got more and more into boxing, actually getting onto the team at school. Though, he also started to dabble around with skateboarding, making his mother even more worried about his safety. Every day that he would come home, his mother would look for any kind of scratch or forming bruise that he might have gotten from practice, or riding his skateboard home from school, but she would never really find much. Of course, his father would always tell her to leave the boy alone. That he could 'take care of himself'. And he could. Even though he had most of his mind set on getting better and better at his sport of choice, Jung Hee was still focusing more on his studies. After all, you never know what life can throw at you. You could end up walking home and a tree fall on you, paralyzing the left side of your body. And that would suck, especially if physical things was your only skill. So, having always thought of the bad things that could happen, Jung Hee was ready to counter-act it with his amazing test scores. He was going to get into a good college, if it killed him. Okay, maybe he wouldn't go that far, but still.

    And just like he thought, Jung Hee did get hurt. Though, it didn't keep him from perminately boxing. It was just a match that got just a little bit to out of hand and personal. Lin ended up coming to the match that night to watch Jung Hee fight, though, it was a bad idea from the start. Not only did Jung Hee not like having her watch him fight others, but the fact that his opponent was flirting with her pissed him off. Of course. Sure, he would have been upset if they were just friends, considering he's slightly protective of the people that he's close to. Though, the fact that the two had been dating for about a year and a half....yeah. Jung Hee wasn't happy. So of course, by the time that the two were in the ring together, snide comments slunk through the air, along with the smell and familiar musk of blood. Jung Hee ended up almost shattering his opponent's nose. Though, as if karma itself had bitten him in the kaboose, the young man that he was fighting ended up tossing him out of the ring. Jung Hee not only hit one of the bars one the four corners of the ring, but also a fold-up chair and the gate that they had around the ring, landing in the first row of the audience.

    Jung Hee lost the match on a count of a ring-out. But no one that knew Jung Hee cared about that. All they cared about was getting him to the hospital. After they arrived, the doctors made it clear that Jung Hee was going to be fine. All he had was a broken leg, a sprained wrist, and there would be a right nasty scar on his leg. But also that the blood that he seemed to be coughing up was just from where Jung Hee had bit the crap out of his cheek when he hit the ground and it would stop in no time. The young man stayed in the hospital for about two weeks before his mother thought that he was fit to actually leave and go back to school. Yet, he stayed just a little bit longer, considering Lin had promised him that she was going to visit him at a certain time. So, Jung Hee's mother and father left, telling him that they would see him at home. Lin arrived and they visited for a while, and after only about thirty minutes, they were both pretty tired of the hospital smell. So, they left, Lin's mother taking them over to her house.

    That was when they got a phone call from the hospital.

    At first, Jung Hee thought that it was just going to be his doctor making sure that he wasn't scratching at his cast. But instead, this harbored bad news. On the way home, Jung Hee's parents' car was hit dead-on by another, killing both of them, along with the individuals in the other car. For about a week, Jung Hee and his sister stayed with Lin in the spare bedroom that the family had. Though, the siblings were soon contacted, told that they would have to stay with a relative, considering that there was still one alive, and living in the United States. Passports were going to be provided for them as well. Though, there was the problem of Jung Hee's broken leg. The officials agreed to let Jung Hee stay until his leg healed up, going ahead and sending his sister on to his aunt in America. And all the time that Jung Hee was with Lin, he kept having thoughts of doing something reckless so that he could break his leg again, so that he wouldn't have to leave her. Though, a few days after his sixteenth birthday, off came the cast, and Jung Hee found himself at the airport.

    Lin and Jung Hee held each other so long, that it felt like forever. They were in each other's arms until the plane was about to leave. The young man had to be pried from the girl's arms before he would let go and get on the damned plane so that he could go to America. Well, at least those English lessons were finally going to pay off. And so, it wasn't too long before the young man arrived in the United States, off in California, in a city that he had heard of, but never actually looked too much into. Everything was strange to him. Jung Hee didn't know anyone other than his sister and his aunt, and really, that was a scary feeling for him. Though, a year has passed without problem and Jung Hee was even able to just fall right in with the rest of the local high school, considering how well he learned English and the pace that he was able to pick up the right accent.

    Jung Hee was seventeen when he was taking in to the Facility. He was just walking back from school when out of nowhere, his eyes were covered in order to blind him, and he felt something stike the back of his head, knocking him unconscious. When he woke back up, he found himself in an anonymous room, clothed in white bed clothes, instead of the pair of jeans and tshirt that he had remembered wearing before.

    To be continued....
