William stepped outside, eyeing one of the guards whose head seemed to have spin the instant he heard William's footsteps. No matter where you went there were eyes following you one way or the other. He didn't really have a problem with the guards, except for that one that was supposed to get him a pack of smokes and never did even though Will had in fact beat him in poker like the bet had called for. People were always going back on their word in here and you couldn't trust that anyone would follow through. He followed through on his word though, like when he snuck into the medical labs and stole tranquilizers for that weird guy that always wanted to sleep.
Even so, the scenery was refreshing from the cold walls of the inside of the building and it was something he always looked forward too. He couldn't remember what the rest of the world really looked like by now but he assumed it was this. If it was then he didn't think he was missing that much. This was the greatest freedom he could get nowadays and he savored every second of it. The guard was still looking in his direction, even when Will's own eyes wandered off in the distance. He wasn't the only one outside but apparently he was the most interesting. As he moved, so did the guards eyes.
He searched around for a familiar face, seeing many but not interested to talk to any of them. He needed a good conversation or at least some kind of excitement. Usually, no one shared his energy for the sort of thing.

The cold hit her bare legs with a fierce sharpness and Hayley shivered from the cold. Her blonde tresses whipped around in the wind, constantly making her move her bangs and bits of hair away from her face. She almost put a hand up to the fence that she was standing in front of, but she remembered that it was electrical and she made sure not to put any part of herself near the harmful fence. "Nothing..." She said quietly, looking out to the forest that seemed to surround the entire Facility. "Just...nothing." Hayley has begun to talk to herself, sometimes it calmed her down a bit, brought her back to reality and reminded her there -was- life outside of this horrible place.
Hayley looked up to the sky. It was so sunny, but so cold. She grabbed the bottom of her 'dress' which was made of a thin material and barely covered half of her thigh, she could have put pants on, but sometimes the guards thought putting pants on was 'wasting valuable time', Hayley wasnt stupid and in any normal situation she would have beat those guards down, but Hayley had gotten a little too friendly with the Tazers of late and she wasnt in the mood to get zapped today.
She stood looking out into the forest and sighed. "This is fucking stupid." Hayley also had begun to swear more than usual, she felt that swear words were the only words bad enough to describe the place she was in and Hayley talked about how bad The Facility was -a lot-.
With another sigh Hayley turned around and saw a man looking strangely at a guard who was, in turn, looking strangely at him. Hayley smiled just a bit. "Will!" She called out, walking over to him and touching his arm gently. "Come talk to me., "
Will...the only person who kept her sane in this place, sure, he though The Facility was some great place, but Hayley was beginning to convince him otherwise, besides...she had a bit of a soft spot for the man, he just seemed so...righteous. It was actually pretty cute.

William was about to just turn and walk over to that fricking guard to start up a conversation because clearly the guy thought Will must have been some sort of trouble maker to eye him like that when Hayley appeared in the nick of time. The sudden touch sent a chill down his spine but he played it cool as he turned towards her with a grin. She seemed anxious, eager and he was just about desperate enough to feed into that. Although it was somewhat alarming in a way for her to just run up like that. Still, the carefree smile never left his face.
"Uhm, sure, what about?" He looked around his environment as he pretended to seem disinterested for a moment before turning back to her. He couldn't give her his complete undivided attention or that would just flatter her too much, right? "I'd say nice weather but its a bit nippy and weather is always boring conversation so whats up? Are you seriously that happy to see me?"

Hayley looked a little frazzled and slightly worried. She brushed her hand against his and nodded over to a small, pathetic looking bench, only one of three scattered around the place. Hayley turned and walked over to the bench and sat down, patting the seat next to her. "Will...I dont know how much longer I can take this." She said in a hushed voice, looking around, making sure no one could hear her. "They're going to start experimenting on me soon and I'm really freaking out." Her green eyes darted from side to side.
She hugged herself and crossed her ankles, making sure not to cross her legs, the slight breeze going up her 'dress' wasnt very comfortable. Hayley wanted to grab onto Will and not let go, but Hayley didnt want to give the willing participant the wrong idea. Hayley wasnt 'hot' for Will, actually she was still heartbroken from her Fiance's betrayal. Hayley had really thought she was in love, it was a huge shock to her and she wasnt ready to jump into an intimate relationship anytime soon.
"And yes..I -am- happy to see you. You're the only person I feel like I can trust and even then-" She hesitated. "-sometimes I'm not too sure about talking to you." She had trust issues. "But I -have- to talk to someone in here or else I'll be talking to myself and thats not really healthy-" She looked around at the few others mulling around The Grounds. "-not that -anyone- around here is real healthy..."
Hayley trailed off. "I just need to get out."

Eh, so he figured he should stop acting cute as he followed her over to the bench and morphed his face into one of worriment and not at all delighted. Go figure, right? Sometimes he forgot that testing on these people who haven't been here all too long was a scary experience. He was so used to it, it was like a normal way of life. So he sighed as he sat next to her and tried to relate even though he couldn't. He could give the fate speech but he highly doubted that would do any good.
"Okay well..." he started as he searched his brain for something to say. It was never easy having heart-to-heart personal conversations with him but sometimes there was just no way out. Like now, for instance, he saw no chance away from the direction the conversation was going. "I live with it. I mean, it's not all that bad really and its for a better purpose anyway. I've been here my whole life and I'm telling you I rarely can think of an occasion where something died." Although technically he was lying...

Hayley scoffed at his comments. "Better good? Why? So we can alter humans from their -natural- state just to use them in WAR?" She looked around and lowered her voice once again. "Alter the way god made us so we can kill others easier. Its a fucking joke and you know it." She poked him in the rather well...uh -buff- chest. (She tried not to think of Will like that.) "And I know you're lying, Will. One out of every Four of those Warfare patients dies in the process for 'A Better Good' as you like to call it."
Hayley turned to him, her skin prickly with goosebumps. She touched his hand. Hayley liked to touch Will, it was another thing that kept her in reality, kept her sane, but its always light touches, sweet touches. "I know you're used to it, but I'm not and I'm not even sure what they would do to me. I'm the -daughter-" The words caught in her throat. "I'm very important to these people and I wouldnt put it passed these sick bastards for them to do something 'extra special' to me."
Hayley was close to tears, but she didnt show it. Crying was showing weakness and the last thing Hayley was going to do was show weakness in this place. The blonde girl looked at the ground then she smoothed her hands over her 'dress' (which was more like one of those hospital gowns) and took a deep breath trying to calm herself down.
"I'm taking you with me." Her emerald eyes darted up to meet his. "When I get out of here you're coming with me." She seemed determined. "You have to understand what it's like outside of here. Its better, it makes sense....what they do here doesnt make sense." She ran a hand through her hair and closed her eyes looking tired. "Will, I wish you could remember life out of this place. Its so...good."
She looked out in the distance. "Fast Food places. ATMs. Gucci. Tiffany. Dulce and Gabana." Hayley sighed. "Parks and no fence." She looked at the fence menacingly. "No fences keeping you in."

William tried to stay open minded at first when she practically started breaking down. She was taught to believe that this kind of stuff was bad, that trying to push evolution went against free will and God's will. William personally didn't believe there was a God anyway. He believed in the science of it all and that people could be genetically modified if it meant helping in some way. They were helping, they were helping the human race evolve. Okay so it was a defense mechanism but they had to protect themselves somehow. If you were going to be against the whole thing if it was war purposes you might as well hate every soldier that went out to defend their country. That was just despicable and un-American, or he supposed it was.
He flinched at the touch, still not used to these sort of things unless he was being intimate and this certainly was not the position it was called for in. He gathered himself quickly and played it off like it never happened. But he was starting to take offense at the things she was saying. Calling these people sick bastards and what not was like directly disrespecting...well his family. At least it was the only family he knew of. Although the resentment died a little as he realized how close to breaking she was. He raised his hand, going for an attempt to pat her on the back or something comforting before she said it. His eyes glazed over and he stood from his place on the bench.
She'd pressed the conversation a little too far and he started pacing as he waited for her to finish. Sure she had earned his friendship but now she was just abusing the fact. When she got out of there? Who said she was leaving? Her father would probably pull one of his stunts and try to release people or something. He was now privvy to this information and didn't know what to do with it. What he did know was he certainly wasn't leaving. Not with her.
"But I can't Hayley!" He yelled with a pained expression fleeting onto his face. His nerves were shot completely by now as anger flushed through him. "I don't know what the hell fast food is, I've never seen an ATM, the only Tiffany I know is here! This is the only life I know! I can't leave..."

Hayley was surprised when he began telling her off like he was. Hayley stood up and grabbed him. She gripped his upper arms tightly and forced him to look at her. "Stop it. I'm sorry I made you freak, but sometimes thats just how it is. " She glanced over at the guard who was now looking at them strangely. Hayley then began rubbing his arms and looking up at him lustfully, but her words severely contrasted to her body language.
"I -am- going to get out of here. Sitting in here, just waiting -so- long for them to do something. Passing out and waking up in the wrong position, maybe they have started experimenting on me and I just dont know it. Maybe I'm being fucking -raped- by these guards and I have -no- idea." She tried to keep looking like she was trying to woo him. She wanted that guard to look away, he was making her nervous.
Hayley brought a finger up to Will's lips, tracing them like she would as if she was about to kiss him. "I'm scared, Will. I want to know whats happening. I hate being in the dark about things." She glanced over at the guard. He was still looking at them. "I'm scared as hell and I cant do anything about it. I'm helpless...I hate being helpless and scared and this place makes me feel everything I hate to feel."
Her green eyes penetrated his own. "Will I want you-" She paused, glancing over at the guard again. "I want you to get me through this. I know you think everything here is ok, but its not and please..." Hayley looked at him with pleading eyes. "Please help me. I cant die in here, dont let me die in here."
That was her worst fear, dying in The Facility without seeing her father again, Tony, Sam, and even a part of her longed to see Noah, her ex-fiance again before she died.
Hayley dragged her finger away from his lips and stepped closer to him. "I'm sorry if I'm upsetting you, but you're all I've got." And that was the pathetic truth.

William looked at his arms, still unable to comprehend why she kept touching him. He was an awkward feeling to have someone touching over you like that and their motives being unclear. He didn't think it was for sex and it certainly wasn't for testing so what else could it be? He stared awkwardly at the hand, no longer really listening to what she was saying or the situation at hand. Her hands moved from his arms and traveled upwards to his lips. He felt like flinching but couldn't muster the thought process possible for doing so. She was sending mixed signals that he couldn't read and didn't know if he wanted to anyway.
As she removed her fingers and stepped closer to him he felt his heart rate accelerate. Tuning into the words she spoke he tried to make sense of it all but failed to. She was betrayed, according to her, by her fiance and there was no way she was feeling the way for him he thought she was. He narrowed his gaze on her. "Why do you do that?"

Hayley could tell he really wasnt paying attention and when he asked her why she was doing what she was doing she sighed heavily and glanced over his shoulder at the guard who was now, thankfully, looking away.
"There was a guard staring at us and I didnt like being looked at like some Animal in the Zoo, so I figured if he thought I was getting a little frisky he would look away and he did." Hayley turned away from him. "God damnit, Will why do you have to act like that sometimes? You're a supporter and I'm the Rebellion leaders daughter you dont have feelings for me so dont -give- me that look." Hayley was just lying to herself, but she didnt want to think someone actually had feelings for her. Feelings were complicated and she liked Will, a lot, and she didnt want 'feelings' to get in the way of their friendship, or so she told herself.
In reality Hayley could certainly see herself falling head over heels for a guy like Will, he was nothing like Noah which was good and bad, but Hayley couldnt trust and if there wasnt trust then there would never be a relationship, seemed Hayley was doomed to the single life.
The blonde sighed again. "If you thought I was-" She hesitated. "-coming on to you well then I'm sorry I just -hate- how they stare at me." It was true, everytime they stared it was like she felt worms crawling under her skin and through her mind....very creepy.
"And did you just hear anything I said or were you too busy-" She put on an overly-acted Marylin Monroe facade. "-being wooed by mah charm?" Hayley cracked a smile then giggled a little.
"I'm sorry." She gave him and small smile.
"I was just saying that I need you to get me through this and that you're all I've got."
