Hey guys, I'm not sure if there's anyone on here who remembers me or not, but six years ago I created a simple Proboards site called "Warriors: the RPG." I was a 12 year old kid who liked to read and didn't have a ton of friends. I'd cut my teeth on RPGS like Born to Be Wild and spent just an enormous amount of time on things like that. And one day I got the idea to make an RPG based on my favorite series of books. It was seriously slow-going at first, but I remember Ruff took to it, and did some amazing things with advertising, and word spread. And we got pretty big. The Proboards site was taken down, and no one was phased. We changed our name and moved to Invision.
It was a lot of fun for a couple years, but after a while I lost touch with it, started high school, eventually quitting role-playing altogether. And I haven't looked back much-- it was a great time while I was a kid, but at this point in my life, it just doesn't feel right for me. I'm 18 now, I'm going to Amherst College in the fall. I have the world's most incredible boyfriend. But I haven't forgotten any of this. I learned to write on this site, thanks to the people who had the patience to RP with a little 12 year old kid who was, at that point, just learning the formalities of grammar. I am forever grateful to all of you who've seen this thing through from the early years. Though I might not RP here again, I will never forget this place, nor anyone on it.
It's not my baby anymore, obviously. It hasn't been for a long time. But to everyone who took it up when I decided to leave it behind, I want to thank you. It's incredible to see that this is still here after all this time. I can't overstate how much all this has meant to me. You guys are so awesome.
Much love, Sarah.
P.S. If anyone wants to talk, drop me an IM. My screen name is aforabsinthe.
