How Do I Earn Points?
Everyone can earn points, regardless of talent or level. Please refer to our handy points guide!

There is no subjectivity; everyone really can move up to the next level!
We do have many more forums hidden to guests, to protect the artwork of our members.
The rules are simple and short:
1. Be respectful.
2. Please read the guidelines for each forum in that forum.
3. Have fun!
If you put the graphics program you use in your signature, members will be better able to help you with your problems and questions.
Brand new members turn red after 5 posts and are able to post in all forums.

Could someone please explain these to me? I have never gotten one to look right. I don't use Photoshop, so unless you have PSP, it will probably have to be in general terms.

a layer mask in ps is literately what it says on the tin, you can use it to hide parts of a leyer its selected without deleting those parts so you can change it later if you want

well in photoshop you use the paint brush or pencil tool or even the gradient tool and use black to cover up parts of that layer and white uncovers them again
