How to join

* You should register as your wolf character's name. (No more than 2 characters per account. However, it is preferred if you used one character name per account)

* You are perfectly welcome to have as many characters as you like as long as you keep all of the accounts that you have active!

* Please don't put numbers or a crazy mix of capitals or special characters and so on in your user name! Instead, choose a nice name for your wolf, put a capital letter at the start and leave it as that - for instance, 'Sirloth'.

* When you've joined, post a description of your character in the 'About your wolf' forum, using the form provided. This will be reviewed by a member of staff - your application must be accepted before you can post your wolf in-character.

About being a 'loner'

* You will start of on Soul of the Wild as a 'loner'.

* Loners are only truly 'safe' on neutral territory. If they go onto a pack's land, they will be regarded as intruders.

* Loners may sneak onto a pack's land to hunt if they wish, but be aware that if the pack finds out you're there, they may be angry! If you wish for a safer option, your loner can ask permission of the Alpha to hunt on that land. Hunting on neutral lands isn't really brilliant - there will be no particularly large animals - so it may be useful for your wolf to ask a pack for permission to hunt on their land.

About joining packs

* You will have to go onto another pack's land to join the pack.

* Your wolf could howl to get the attention of the Alphas - this may be treated with a better response than just going onto the land and not doing anything, as the pack will know why you're there.

* Only an Alpha or Beta may accept you into the pack, but respect should still be shown to any other pack members who may greet you. If you are accepted by a Beta the Alpha can still kick you out. After that, only Alpha’s can grant you a higher rank.

* Your wolf will probably have to act submissive to have the pack members approve him/her. This is done by crouching, flattening ears, or in extreme cases, having your wolf roll right over, exposing his or her underbelly.
