well since Verona ah NEYLA put this topic up we might as well put it to use, sd just got that comic off ebay and Winthorp is a complete wimp andhe just dosen't get that Carmelita's heart belongs to someone else.

When it comes to Interpol,

Barkley is a screamer who verbally abuses other Interpol employees
Winthorp is a wimp who wants to do anything to win Carmelita over.
Lt. Gronk is the first Gorilla mercenary to be an Interpol member.
Carmelita Fox is a voluptuous inspector who wants to prove to everyone at Interpol that she could capture Sly Cooper.

These are the known members of Interpol in Sly Cooper series.

Well, as a fan, I do indeed know what SlyDude is talking about. In regard to the notable members of Interpol, here's my opinion...

Chief Barkley: He strikes me as your stereotypical cop show police chief--hard-nosed, short-fused, and critical. As Carmelita's old mentor, I imagine he was perhaps a little harsh in training her--but this may have been due to the fact that Carmelita might have still been a little green back in the day. And, as his attitude when Carmelita caught the jewel thief (Pierre, I think) proved, he acknolwdges and rewards good work when he sees it.

Winthorpe: I'll be the first to say that I think stereotypes are a bit unfair. However, the fact remains that Winthorpe is probably the embodiment of the stereotypical nerd--from his excessively clean-and-pressed attire to his awkward (and hardly successful) come-ons to our favorite latin vixen, and his apparent ignorance to the fact that he doesn't have a snowball's chance in you-know-where with her. Oh, well...at least Carmelita doesn't give him false hope, or anything like that. And, given certain events at the end of Sly 3 (I'm not saying in case someone hasn't played it yet), maybe the poor guy will get the hint...

Constable Neyla: Yeah, I know she's not part of Interpol anymore. Still, her former status is worth mentioning--during this time, she was very charismatic, alluring, and admittedly skilled enough to give Sly a good workout chasing after her. I suspect that she won the confidence of her superiors as easily as she won Sly's. However, I also have another suspicion: that, during her time on the run, Carmelita was able to dig up some incriminating evidence of Neyla's corruption, or tricked the treacherous tigress into revealing it a la Mission Impossible. It certainly would account for how Carmelita got ahold of a police chopper in the endgame of Sly 2--having exposed Neyla's true colors, she might have been given a chance to prove her loyalty to Interpol by bringing the tigress in.
And, despite the ending of Sly 2, we never really DID see her body--reports of her demise could be exagerrated...

Lt. Gronk: The mercenary commander-turned Interpol officer (probably due to the performance of him and his men during the whole Venice scenario). What can I say about this guy? Well, while he might not be Bentley's intellectual equal, he's not stupid, either--tough, loyal, and dependable are the words to describe this hard-as-nails ex-merc. While events in Sly 3 don't bode well for him and his men, a hardned soldier like him might have been able to survive...

Carmelita M. Fox: The hot-blooded vixen detective we all love. Don't let her failure to capture Sly or her unfortunate record of being abducted (Clockwerk's gas chamber, the Contessa's attempts at "rehabilitation," and the Mask of Dark Earth's possession) fool you--Carmelita's no helpless maiden, and is a formidable police officer. She's got the toughness and skills to stay in the game against formidable foes where others would have to cut and run (Muggshot and Dr. M's mutant freaks come to mind). These, combined with her acrobatic and detective skills allow her to keep Sly on his toes--he only MAKES it look easy to elude her (hey, have you tried out-running her in Sly 3 once she's got wind of you? Trust me, it ain't easy).
If she has a weakness, it's her black-and-white view of justice. However, as the games have progressed, I think she's having more and more trouble fitting a certain ringtailed thief into that mold...

Constable ???: I'm not giving this mystery cop's name away here, in case someone who's reading this hasn't beaten Sly 3 yet. However, for those of you who have, you'll know who I'm talking about when I say that he's Carmelita's new partner...

I dunno,Winthorpe is kinda cute trying to win carmelita's heart. But alas, her heart belongs to another...

I was kind of hoping Winthorp would be mentioned in Sly 3, especially when Sly asked Carmelita if he had some competition (for her).

now that's stranger then the "wants to be buried in his mom's pasta sauce" quote. Winthorpe wouldn't have a chance with the Vixen against Sly, he's a master a charmer, that and he's probably ask Murray to "take care of him" as soon as Carmy turns her back.

Maybe this game was better off without winthorp

Wintorp was only seen in a screenshot for Sly 3. He is not in the game because that screen was used in the comic.
