my car club is going through some big changes to help reflect the forward progress of the new site we want to have a fresh look on the site's logo to clue people into the changing direction.

the club is 240sxone.com
it's a club for Nissan 240sx Owners of New England

here is the old logo:

That image is a screen-shot from archive.org the boarder I don't think is part of the logo, just to give you an idea of how far removed we are from the source at this point.

We're not 100% sure who made it, or if they they are the sole creator or stole elements from other places.

The old logo does 2 things really well
1. it shows a "kouki s14" 240sx which is arguably the most desirable version of the 240sx and it show it in front of a mountain range which says New England quite well.

2. it has a color scheme that matches the rest of the site (light blue and white)

I'd be great if the club had a new logo that is reminiscent of this one, simple and identifiable.

for some more reference images and to familiarize yourself with different versions of the 240sx you can check here: http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/183490

there are 2 chassis the S13 and the S14
the s13 had pop up headlights and came in a coupe, a hatch back, and a convertible
the s14 was only in a coupe but they had two versions one with oval headlights (zenki) and one with square headlights (kouki)

Some people with s13's import front ends from the Japanese Nissan Silvia which have a different style front end with square non-pop-up headlights.

The Japanese S14s look similar to the US versions but with slightly more aggressive trim.

one thing to avoid would be "s15" style cars... they look really cool but they were only in Japan, and people try to convert their s13/s14s to look like them are typically hated by the community..

Honestly I wouldn't mind something that looked nearly identical to the old logo but with a little more flash and modernization... we just need a fresh face on the site.

Thanks
