    Hi Marv,

First off, I wanted to say that I'm really enjoying your run on Nightwing. I think you're bringing some much-needed balance back to the character and giving him a good grounding.

Secondly, the Raven mini that was briefly touted for last year seems, to me at least, to have been put on the back burner a bit. Do you have a rough ETA for its release that you're able to share, or will it just be done when it's done?

    Stranger;
i has not been back burnered. Fact is, I just handed in my 4th script. Damion, the artist, is doing a truly incredible job, but it's moving slowly, and I think DC wants the art done before it is released so there's no missed schedules later on. This is the way it should always be. I think you go for the best artist for a job and let them take whatever time is necessary and only then publish. We've seen cases where books become late because they've been scheduled too quickly. I think DC's trying to make sure that doesn't happen here. I'd like all five issues to come out one a month. In a few weeks I'll get back to my fifth issue and as far as my side is concerned, we'll be done.

Well, that's good news.

If anyone remembers me from my newbie intro thread post, I mentioned that I hadn't read any of the comics. Well, I bought the Teen Titans: Beast Boys and Girls paperback on impulse last time I was at the book shop, and really enjoyed it. So, I'll be looking forwards to checking out other comics in the series--especially this one.

You happened to pick up the compilation of my favorite stories heartbeat.gif

I would recommend going through all the graphic novels, plus if you can find the hardcover "archive editions", check them out. New Teen Titans Archive Edition 3 has the "Tales of the New Teen Titans" stories with origins of Cyborg, Starfire, and Raven, plus what Beast Boy (Changeling) was up to from the end of the Doom Patrol to the beginning of NTT.

Those hardback thingums sound a bit expensive...

But if I see them, I'll definitely check them out.

I'm sorry for "bumpage" of this thread, but has the series been released yet?

I've searched around a few stores, but haven't seen/heard anything. =/

It should be out somewhere since early March, according to DC.

DC's page here.

I tried peeking at a couple of online booksellers, but I haven't seen it yet. Pretty odd...

*Bump*

The comic is out now. Is it just me, or does the artwork suck? Granted, I haven't bought an issue, but I have seen some of the pictures via TitansGo.Net. Am I the only one who hates the lineart and coloring style used?

I never cared for their covers, but sometimes they're way different than the interior work. I'm really, really hoping that's the case here...

I mean, it's kind of sad when your professional work looks more amateurish than some fanart.

not so much sucky as just really different from main stream and cartoon, they tried to mix them or something and came out with that, on a side note, if you buy the latest issue of toy fair september (i get them by mail im not sure if thats out yet) they have a raven action figure coming out that looks cool, its like the main stream comic series.

this has NOTHING to do with anything but I won that worlds finest contest for the batman and teen titans final season dvd set and they came today witch made me wanna come check out the raven shrine.... very nostalgic.
